When they meet, neither Graham nor Arabella admitted the other that they were in search of a match with money. Each thought, at first, then hoped, later on, that the other was what they needed. When they found out differently, and the same man was responsible, Graham decided to try and get their money back, hoping that they could then get married. They become more and more involved as time goes by, but ;ach is resigned to doing what is needed. They have a fun, sweet romance, because they are both sweet, kind and vulnerable. Regardless...it was a fun read.
Anthony was an interesting character and Jane had just the right amount of spitfire - although rather demanding on Anthony to repay his debt to her.

I enjoy Darcy Burke’s historical romances and look forward to her other books.

Loved the book for it's plot. Graham and Arabella were lovable and very alike too. The story did not disappoint in any way. I truly enjoyed every bid of it. I will read more for sure!

I'm so pleased to have discovered Darcy's books from reading the Wicked Dukes Club written with Erica Ridley, which I enjoyed immensely.

Loved the story of Graham and Arabella. I knew of the connection Ridley had to the bad guy early on. Darcy does not disappoint. She will always be an auto-buy and read author for me.

A Duke is Never Enough February 2020 is Phoebe and Ripley’s story. I can’t wait!!

This is a really enjoyable story and a good start to a new series linked to the Untouchables series! I liked that both Graham and Arabella were in very similar situations, where they had to hide their financial difficulties in order to be able to solve them - it meant that there were no easy, fairy-tale answers. Their connection was easy to feel, and they were really well suited for each other as friends as well as romantically, which I always enjoy. There is a little bit of a mystery plot, but it's very minimal and not enough to spoil the romance for me (my personal preference is not stories where the main couple spend all their time investigating!) and there are plenty of fun moments with side characters. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series!

When I first began reading this story I wasn't sure if I would end up liking it or not. At first I thought that Arabella would end up with the Duke, Graham, because he had money and because he'd promise to help her and her family. That it'd be a relationship begun through convenience that would change to love over the course of the story. Or at least that was the impression that the blurb gave me. And I'll be honest and say that I'm pretty glad that that wasn't what happened. I think that that would have been a little bit too cliche.
I really loved the romance between Arabella and Graham. How their first meeting was purely by accident, and how they both believed that the other would be the answer to their problems. But they weren't. Which I thought was great.
I liked that the challenge to reclaim their money wasn't straightforward and that they both had to help each other to do so. I really like it when a romance has elements of action and some other plot that changes and challenges the characters.
I thought that this was a really fun, exciting, gripping, easy to read romance that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I really liked Graham and Arabella and this thrilling, unusual tale. Great job!

Never Have I Ever with a Duke by Darcy Burke is an intense read. This historical romance novel, offers high stakes, a hot romance, and an adventure. Two young people find themselves in hot water when it comes to finances. Although, figuring out how to avoid falling in love and capturing back their money will prove most difficult. Neither character can keep their attraction away from business.

Arabella Stoke is a strong heroine who takes action. She needs to help her father find their money before all is lost. Or maybe, it is. However, Arabella isn't giving up. She finds a Duke who is interested in helping her. Although, he too needs help. Arabella cannot help but to find herself growing more attracted the distracting duke each time. Time is money. And money is what will save both her family and the Duke's.

Duke Graham is an interesting male hero. He is everything I expected plus, more. He has everything he needs. Only he now has a mountain of debt to pay off and a beautiful woman who needs his help. Graham will have his hands full of the young lady who is everything he could have imagined. Arabella is not an unforgettable woman. Graham is going to have to pull every ounce of his strength to keep up with their troubles and the romance blooming ahead.

This novel was exciting! I could not stop reading it. Humor spiked every page. I loved the cast of characters. Everything felt believable and real. Darcy Burke knows how to draw my attention and keep it.

I liked this book for various reasons. The heroine is a strong female and the hero seems to be a really nice guy. The hero, Graham, unexpectedly inherited a dukedom. Both Graham and Arabella's families were duped by a guy who preyed on people that were desperate to make quick money and instead they were taken advantage of by the "villain." Since both families lost money the hero and heroine had a dilemma they needed to marry for money. Graham wanted to team up with Arabella to find the villain and get their monies back so they would not have to marry for money. While Graham and Arabella were trying to find the villain to get their families' money back they seemed to start caring for each other and love naturally happened. It was surprising who the villain was and how he was associated with other people in the book. I would recommend this book to others. The end of the book set up the scene for the next book in this "series."

I haven’t read anything by Darcy Burke before, but after reading this I’m definitely looking forward to continuing with the series as more novels get published. I really enjoyed reading about Graham and Arabella’s developing relationship, plus all of the other characters added a lot to the story. This was also well paced and the perfect length for a historical romance.

I like the story but I felt that this book just fell flat for me. The main characters were good but I didn't feel the connection that they shared. I wanted more from them. Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this ARC.

Although not one of my favorite Darcy Burke books, I enjoy reading books about characters that I've "met" in other stories. This story has romance, intrigue and as suspected, a HEA. I would recommend this book to my fellow Regency Romance fans.
We meet Arabella and Graham in Duke of Kisses, a story where Graham is David, Earl of Ives, best friend and Arabella his betrothed until he falls in love with another woman.
Both Arabellas' family and Graham are victims of a fraudulent investment perpetrated by the same villain.
At first neither is aware of the other's misfortune and as both need to marry for money, with their mutual attraction, they think the other is the answer to their prayers. After much interaction they find they are both in the same precarious situation and realize that regardless of how they feel, they both must find other people to marry.
The story follows them on the Marriage Mart as they attempt to recoup both families losses and try to find rich spouses while fighting (not with much success) their attraction to each other.
All-in-all, this story was an enjoyable read.

This book was not what I expected at all. It was so much better!
Arabella Stoke is a sought after lady of the ton. The ton does not know this, but her father has lost all their money in an investment scheme.

Graham Kinsley never expected to inherit a Dukedom. He was a secretary. However, when he becomes heir to a debt ridden Dukedom, he must decide what he is going to do.
Will he sell the un-entitled properties? Will he marry a rich woman?
Marriage is the first item on his list. He sets about to meet and court a rich woman whom he could possibly love in time. What he does not expect is Arabella.
When Graham finds out that Arabella's father was also swindled, Graham sets out to find out who is responsible.
I liked the characters in this book. I also liked the fact that they were looking for the person who took their money. I loved the altruistic nature of Graham Kinsley. He was such a wonderful man.
This was an excellent start to this series. I look forward to reading more in this series.

I quite enjoyed the book because I really liked the protagonist Arabella because she liked sex and she went and got her man without being shy about it. I can respect that.

The ending bothered me a bit because it was very convenient...

There were parts in the book where i felt the phrasing and the plot were repetitive but after the midpoint that stopped so thank God.

I wished the meeting between Graham and Tibbord was more climactic but i suppose it isnt meant for this book

This is book one of a new series by Darcy Burke, but has many returning characters from a previous series. Arabella Stoke and David, the Earl of St. Ives, had been betrothed by their fathers at a young age, but David had fallen in love with another and married her after the death of his father. While Arabella was not very upset, since she wants a husband who will be in love with her, her father took it badly and along with some gambling and bad investments, has put the family in dire financial straits, and instead of manning up, had fled to the sick bed.

Graham Kinsley, who had been David's best friend growing up and his secretary, suddenly inherited a debt-ridden dukedom and has become the Duke of Halstead. He has a month to pay off the mortgage of Brixton Park, which his great great grandfather had build for his brother, the duke, but a lie by a vicious woman had separated the brothers and their heirs. Since then, the Kinsley's had worked as secretaries for the Earls of St Ives. Now Graham must marry an heiress or find the swindler who stole the money from the previous duke, Mr. Stroke and many others.

Arabella and Graham meet under unusual circumstances, and find an immediate attraction- could this be my other half? Does he/she have money? What will win out, love or money?

The characters are very appealing and plot twisted. While Arabella never becomes a Spitfire Spinster, we are introduced to Miss Phoebe Lennox and Miss Jane Pemberton, who formed the Spitfire Society. But how long will they really remain spinsters?

I tend to really like Darcy's book however this one I didn't find as enjoyable. Not that I didn't like just not my favorite. So we meet Graham who unfortunately inherited a title along with a whole lot of debt, so he needs to marry for money so he needs an heiress. Unfortunately for him he meets Arabella and they are attracted to each other but her family also needs money and she also needs to marry for money, so these two try to ignore their feelings for each to try and help out their family, but will they be able to do so? And can they really turn off those feelings?

Desparate times call for desperate measures when Arabella's family become destitute from her father's bad investments. Graham, the new Duke of Halstead, is also destitute, They become allies in finding the swindlers. As they plot their revenge, the attraction between them becomes more intense. Both know they need to marry for money, but they only want each other.
What a close call for an HEA. Another 5 Stars book.

I had a hard time with the book, maybe because both Arabella and Graham were so set on catching a rich spouse to save them from their financial situations. It just seemed so callous and I could understand at the end when Lady Clifton was hurt by this.

I did like the bit of intrigue as Graham tried to find the person behind the swindling of his money. Arabella was able to be a big help with finding out more info for him to track the guy down. While I was glad that Ripley was able to come through for Graham and kind of make up for his cousin, he doesn't seem like a likable hero. So, the next book should be interesting to see how he moves from such an excessive rake to possible husband material!

Darcy Burke has not failed us with this book, its another great read. Some old characters from previous books make an appearance, but you do not have to have read previous to still enjoy this story. What a great read, highly recommend.

Two broke MCs find themselves drawn to each other, despite desperate situations in this recently released first in new series book by Darcy Burke.

Graham, a former secretary to an Earl, and a sensible and dashing man, has inherited a dukedom.  Unfortunately it comes with rather dire debt.  A lot of D (well, a couple of scenes).

He has a meet cute with Arabella, who is trying to help her family's fortunes return by marrying a rich peer.  Both are immediately attracted to each other, but must fight against it to try and save themselves from ruin.  They also team up to try and fight the mysterious blackguard that swindled their family members.

The plot is not much more than that, but I thought it worked.  Arabella isn't exactly a "Spitfire" like her friends who have formed a spinster society, but she is a woman who goes after what she wants.  And she wants herself some Graham.  So this is a very sex positive book that features a non-virginal heroine who is okay with an affair de coeur. That aspect I found refreshing, because it gets a little tiring reading virginal tale after virginal tale.  And this isn't a second chance, either.

As they investigate to uncover the villain, they also spend some time getting to know each other...and finding each other irresistible.  Those scenes where they come together really are the best part of this book and strongly bring in to focus the romance, which makes the HEA pay off rewarding.

I am not sure I completely connected with either character in a deep and lasting way, but I nonetheless found this an entertaining and fast read that I didn't want to put down once I got into it.  That, coupled with the recently reviewed Erica Ridley novella gives me hope my reading slump is broken.

The Regency is more than a backdrop but not super pivotal to the plot.  This is more of a drawing room type of novel than a glittering parties and London showcase, but Burke uses the settings to good advantage...especially to give these two MCs some alone time.

The supporting characters are intriguing, and no doubt a part of future books in the series which I think promise to be even more captivating than Never Have I Ever With a Duke.

I recommend readers who don't mind a little on page sex and are comfortable with mild adult subject matter to give this one a go.
