Princess Fuzzypants here: If you are looking for a quick enjoyable read that is filled with romance and fantasy and magic, this is for you. Colin Wilshire’s last memory is being tossed in the sea in a ship wreck until he awakes on the shore. The problem is when he was in the water, it was 1645. Now is it modern day. Somehow he has time travelled and his only thought is to return to his own time and save his wife and unborn baby.
That is until he meets Luna. Thankfully she is a witch and lives in the enchanted town of Cat’s Paw Cove where the fantastic is the norm. It doesn’t take long to realize Colin’s plight is real and not some crazy delusion. She wants to help him but she would not complain if he could remain with her. It is up to her cat, Hecate, to solve the problem and save them both.
Sometimes a fairy tale is what is needed. If the reader wants to be swept away from the realities of every day life, give this a try. I think you may like it.
Five purrs and two paws up.

A Witch in Time is a GREAT read.

Description
In a violent storm in 1645, Colin Wilshire’s Barbados-bound ship is swept off course. He’s sure he and his pregnant bride are fated to drown when he’s tossed into the sea. He wakes in a strange land and is saved by a blue-haired angel. Twenty-first-century witch and cat rescuer Luna Halpern has fallen for more than her share of unsuitable guys—including one with a long-distance fiancé, and another who was more interested in other dudes than in Luna. Finally, a safe, drama-free guy is interested in her, and she’s confident that she’ll muster up an attraction to him. When she stumbles upon a handsome, mysterious man who speaks oddly, seems not to know where he is, or even what century it is, her first instinct is to help him. Certain he’s either stuck in a crazy dream or in limbo between life and death, Colin stays close to Luna. As his feelings for her grow, he’s forced to choose between his obligations in the past and his hopes for the future.

The main characters in this story; Colin and Luna are ones you are going to love. This cozy mystery is an easy read and I read the entire novel in one sitting. My only complaint is that the book is way too short. It should have been more in-depth. However, still a great read.

I was provided this book free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion. I highly recommend this book 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It’s 1645 and Colin Wilshire is onboard a ship with his pregnant wife. They’re near Florida and heading for Barbados when a horrific storm hits them. The ship wrecks and while trying to save those he can, Colin is hit on the head and ends up in Cat’s Cove in modern times. He’s found by Luna, a witch, who recognizes him from her dreams. Though they both fall for each other, Colin is desperate to get back to his wife…until he discovers it’s not necessary.

Things I liked: It’s a cute, sweet, short (novella length) story with good characters and a satisfying ending.

Things I didn’t like: There’s not much setting given. Yes, it’s a short story, but I’d like a little more detail. Also, a question… how does Luna get rid of Chuck? That’s never addressed—or are we supposed to guess?

Recommendation: If you’re looking for a quick, light, fluff piece, this is it. It’s fun, but there’s not much substance here.

Luna opened her eyes and wondered where she was. She was alone in the deck of an old fashioned ship. Then she saw him but right after her alarm went off, didn’t even get to kiss him. Than her cat Hectate licked her chin and just before meowed It was 4:39 am and in a half hour luna needed to be at the cafe Cove Cat Cafe- her cafe. After a shower she told her brother Leo it was time to get up. Today was also Founders day and there was a lot to do. Jordan was her employee and friend. They had a booth for the Founders Day celebration. Jordan and Luna were working the booth, Leo was working the cafe. Luna’s stomach was in knots, twice in the past three years she’d met gys she dated at Caw Paw Cove’s biggest annual event and the relationships had ended badly. How could she know glen had a fiance in NY and they had dated for four months. Last year Founders Day Tim had convinced her to go out with him, the jerk strung her along for three months before telling her he preferred men. He’d merely been trying to go straight for his consewrvative parents. If only she could shake off that witchy premonition something was going to happen today today to shake her world.Luna went home after the celebration, Leo said he would close the cafe. She fell asleep and had that dream about the ship but this time a giant wave from the storm washed her overboard. Her hero saved her but then she was hit with debris and Luna sank. There was Chuck but she couldn’t encourage his perusal of her. Her go to self care treatment was always a long walk near the shore. Storms didn’t usually frighten Luns, but this one made her nervous. Her favorite spot was a narrow strip of beach below the highest dunes, close to the entrance to several of the area’s underground tunnels. Then she saw a man coming toward her. It was the man of her dreams.
This was the cutest short story I have read in a long time. I loved Colin and Luna together and how they interacted. I was glad Colin found out about his wife that he had been so worried about. I loved how Jordan could talk to animals and the paranormal aspect of this book. I loved how Colin was protective of Luna and Rebecca. Just an all around great, fast, short read. I loved the plot and pace. I didn’t put this down and read it in one sitting. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

What a wonderful novella, I would have loved for it to be a longer story but it was so enjoyable that it was very hard to put down. It was a story of two different centuries coming together and with lives entwined. I recommend that you get this novella and try it for yourself, you will certainly enjoy it as I have.

The first in the Cat's Paw Cove Series, A Witch in Time is a time travel romance. I found the character interaction enjoyable, however at times I felt the flow of the story stilted coming in and out of the past. Overall, I nice cozy novella.

Luna is one of the magic weilding citizens of Cat's Paw Cove. Along with her brother Leo, who seems to be the town Romeo, she runs the local bakery. After working at the local founders day festival she finds a bedraggled but still very handsome refugee from a shipwreck. Poor lad must have bumped his head cos he's now trapped in his reenactment persona!

Colin had been sailing to the Caribbean with his new wife when the storm struck. Now he has awoken in a very strange world. But one where his mad inventions, once mocked by his peers, would not seem out of place. But how can he return to his family? Can he trust this witch? What will actually await him on his return?

Hecate the cat has some very weird talents! Colin solowly realises that the past he left might not be as perfect as the present in which he has found himself! Sweet romance which sprouts from a new friendship. Mysterty robberies and family secrets galore!

A charming and engaging novella. Very well written, easy to read and to picture the story and characters and I needed to finish it without a break, because I wanted to know what happened! I loved that the Colin was from 1645 England (his character felt authentic, which was excellent) and Luna was from modern day America. The back story was good and well thought out and I felt I was there in the shipwreck with the hero. The romance was 'sweet', however, I would have liked a lot more time and detail invested on it, as it felt a bit glossed over and rushed - which stopped me from giving it 5 stars. I get that this is a novella, but still, the book would have been more rounded for me with a few more chapters filling in the gaps in the middle as the H/h got to know each other. A great ending and I would recommend this book to all romance lovers and I look forward to reading more stories in the series. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. 😍

A big thank you to NetGalley and CPC Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is a time travel romance. Very short and a quick read. Fairly unbelievable but cute. I give it 3 stars. Its sort of a cozy witch romance.
