I would like to thank HQ for letting me read and review this book.
Snowflakes at the Little Christmas Farm is very funny right from the start. It is a fast paced read that had me laughing out loud.
Leah after a few two many drinks has a hangover something we can all relate to but not what she did in the night while drinking. She brought a farm and not just any farm a Christmas tree farm. A brilliant idea for the plot and so funny. Jaimie Admans has a way with words and is able to make everything so relate-able and funny completely drawing the reader into the story.
As Leah comes to terms with her new unexpected property she stumbles upon a very handsome farmer of pumpkins who lives near by. A distraction she really does not need while trying to move on from an ex and start over doing something she has no idea about.
This book is full of Christmas magic, love and hope and also Christmas Trees! A perfect book to curl up to this Christmas.
This is my first book by Jaimie and won’t be my last. A great festive read a great one for lovers of cheesie Christmas movies. Great characters and settings. Definitely recommend.
Admans is quickly becoming one of my favorite new authors. Her use of description and sensory language puts the reader right inside the story. True, it's a romance, and not exactly believable, but who says stories have to be believable? Sometimes it's nice to just escape into fairytale land. Maybe when my life goes awry, there'll be a handsome Scot ready to sweep me off my feet in a gorgeous paradise! Seriously though, the characters are adorable, even the supporting roles, and the story has enough twists in it to keep you wondering if it will end the way you think it will...
I don't like to rush things, but there are few things more heartwarming and cozy than a sweet holiday romance. The covers are cute and the storyline hits you in all the feels. This book was a nice little romance. Accidentally purchasing a Christmas tree farm in Scotland is definitely not a trope I've experiences before.
Recommended to Hallmark holiday movie lovers!
Lovely festive read. It was a heart warming romance. It was a wonderful book to read. It was well written and flowed well.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the arc of this book in exchange for an honest review. I love this author, her books are wonderful. This book has been no different, I have adored everything about this book. It has a beautiful setting, lovely characters and a heartwarming plot which is wonderful. Five stars doesn’t show how much I love this book.
This was an adorable Christmas romance! I loved that the fluff also had a sprinkle of angst, and that both Leah and Noel had shared past experiences involving grief and trust issues that they were able to overcome with one another. I will say that at times I found the amount of tree/farming information a bit dull, but it's obvious the author did her research, because it was detailed yet written in a way that was easy for someone who doesn't know the first thing about tree farming to understand. The romance was sugar sweet, and I loved that Noel at first appeared to be just another stereotypical hot farmer man, but actually had this little edge about him and interesting past (I especially loved the lip piercing, *wink*). Also, Leah being 36 was a breath of fresh air, as she was more relatable and enjoyable to me.
I kept hoping for a sex scene between these two, what with all the sparks they were throwing at one another,. We did get some hot make-out sessions, though I was sad to see them stop before they got too heated. But that's just my own personal preference when reading a romance novel, and was why I gave this 3 stars instead of 4.
Overall, this is the novel equivalent of a warm cup of hot cocoa on a snowy day, and I recommend it for anyone who wants to read a feel-good Christmas love story!
Thank you to netgalley for the chance to read this book.
I brilliant book about Leah who lives in London and buys a Christmas Tree Farm in Scotland via an auction. When she gets to the Farm it becomes apparent that it is nothing like the pictures from the estate agents website. Neighbour Noel helps her get the Farm back on track and in return Leah falls for him and his little dog Gizmo.
Can’t wait for Jaimie’s next book.
This was a great book, totally my cup of tea. I love all the characters, I love the Christmas tree farm, and the sense of community in Elffield.
I really enjoyed the humour between Noel and Leah, the way they slowly built up their relationship rather than just jumping into bed together. I love their passion for the Christmas tree farm and the local market, the way they (but Leah in particular) bring life back into it.
You never know what you’re going to get when you select a book by an author you’ve not read before, but Jaimie Admans really hits the spot with Snowflakes at the Little Christmas Tree Farm.
I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely love Christmas trees 🎄 so this book just shouted out at me to be read, and I was not disappointed at all. A great idea for a Christmas book, I loved being transported to Scotland with Leah to live her dream of owning a Christmas tree farm. I enjoyed watching her overcome her issues and begin to embrace life as a farmer, with the amazing Noel by her side.
It was a fabulous book filled with hope and cheer. Such a friendly community that needed Leah as much as she needed them! An inspiring story that had me laughing and crying and of course oohhhing and arrhhing over the delightful Gizmo ❤️
I’m a big fan of this author and have loved everything she’s written...but with this book, I think Ms Admans has surpassed herself. I loved everything about this book. The setting....I mean a Christmas tree farm in Scotland, and the characters were well developed. I loved our heroine Leah, after she discovered her boyfriend/boss cheating on her at work, she dumps him, quits her job and drunkenly bids on a Christmas tree farm 100miles away. Reeling from her parents sudden death she sees this as a chance of a new life. Her naivety, vulnerability and determination makes her easy to love and root for.
Our hero Noah has his own issues, and is very critical of Leah, but once he sees she’s committed to making the farm a success, he starts to open up and let his guards down. I’m not ashamed to say I fell a little in love with him. His Christmas tree puns had me in stitches. We were also introduced to a wonderful cast of secondary characters...wait till you meet Fiona and Fergus 🥰
Another amazing book from Ms Admans, and even though it’s 103 days till Christmas, I am feeling very festive now ❄️🎄
A good read. A somewhat whimsical storyline which adds to this tale of romance. A welcome addition to the Christmas library.
The only complaint I have about books written by Jaimie Admans is that while reading I find.that they are over far too soon! Every time another book written by Jaimie is published I end up devouring it in one sitting. The story and characters both are always too good to stop reading.
Jaimie Admans always writes lovely stories with such lifelike characters. Everyone in the story is relatable in a comfortable way. This book was no exception. I loved everything about it. Leah and Noel both were adorable characters and the cuteness factor of Gizmo was off the charts.
If you are looking for a lovely cosy Christmas themed romantic read, look no further. Curl up with a nice cup of tea or hot chocolate and enjoy the visit to the village of Elffield. This story is magical.
