This is a cute light fun romance with that touch of paranormal. Enjoyable and fun. Hope to read the whole series - since I can't actually move to the town.
Her Homerun Hottie is one of those books that will make you smile. It is the second book in the series.
Description
Welcome to Cat’s Paw Cove, Florida—an enchanting seaside town and favorite tourist destination. But there’s something unusual about the locals, both human and feline. The popular Shipwreck Museum might just take you back in time, and the historic Sherwood House holds secrets, old and new. Adopt a furever friend at the Cove Cat Café, treat yourself to a psychic reading at Eye of Newt metaphysical shop, pick up a special trinket from Black Cat Antiquities. And don’t be surprised if you find your heart in the magic of Cat’s Paw Cove. Event Planner and earthly Cupid Tori Sutherland enjoys nothing more than playing matchmaker for lonely hearts. Too bad Tori will never find her own happy-ever-after because the only guy she ever loved moved on years ago. Heath Castillo managed to escape his dysfunctional family for a career in major-league baseball. His only regret was not acting upon his desire for his best friend. When an injury threatens his livelihood, Heath has no choice but to face the ghosts of his past. When long-buried passions ignite, Heath and Tori consider taking a chance on love. But will the forces that kept them apart in high school destroy their budding romance before it even begins?
When Heath comes back to Cat’s Paw Cove he first thinks he is not even going to leave the airport. Obviously he stays and participates in the festivities. He and Tori spend all the time together and eventually romance ensues. I thoroughly enjoyed this funny romantic book. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that it felt as if the fantasies were dragged out longer than they should have been.
I was provided this book free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion. I give this book 4 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tori's party planner business has been going well. She is rushed off her feet but lately little things keep going wrong. Does she haave soemone who hater her that much? Is it because of her business of her "talent" for being a cupid? But with her former best friend, the hothie Heath, coming home to head up festivities she is ging to ahve to pull up her big girl panties and either tell him she lusts after him or let her fantasy go.
Heath is warm, engaging and has tried not to let the whole ballplayer thing go to his head. All he really wants now is Tori. But he was never good enough for her family when they were teenagers, will his new wealth and celebrity help or hinder his chances now?
Witty, warm and welcoming with a nice little mystery thrown in.
Her Homerun Hottie by Wynter Daniels is the 2nd book in the Cat's Paw Cove series. I really enjoyed this book, with romance, paranormal activity, and humor. Ms. Daniels knows the perfect way to help us escape life and enjoy a quick read escape. I recommend this book, if you enjoy a fun romances.
I reviewed a digital arc provided by NetGalley and the publisher. Thank you.
Welcome to Cat's Paw Cove where things are a little magical. Her Homerun Hottie is a friends to lovers tale that will put a smile on your face. This book is high energy non-stop action that will have you rooting for the home team.
Heath comes back to his hometown of Cat’s Paw Cove to participate in town festivities. He is a professional baseball player from a family from the wrong side of the tracks. Tori has been his best friend since they were children. Both have fought their attraction. Tori’s family made it clear, unknown to her, that he wasn’t good enough for her. Tori and Heath get to spend time together while he is in town and learn that their friendship has room to grow. Such a fun addition to this series! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
With thanks to Netgalley and the publisher.
This title is the second in the Cat’s Paw Cove Series and while it is primarily a paranormal romance it’s also about friendship, love and overcoming difficulties.
Tori is a party planner and, secretly, an Earthbound Cupid who can find perfect matches for everyone except herself, who has always lived in Cat’s Paw Cove; in fact she’s also the only party planner in town, even so, Tori is exultant when she wins the contract for the towns’ anniversary celebrations. Tori’s only concern is that her best friend and secret crush Heath, now a Major League Baseball player will be coming home as the celebrations’ special guest.
What follows is a mix of lusty romance, bewildering ‘mishaps’ threatening Tori’s business until the mystery is solved and a happy ending or two.
As it is a novella it’s a quick read, and the prior relationship and feelings of the two main protagonists plays a large role in the pace of their romance.
A charming, fun, paranormal romance with some spice.
I found this to be an extremely quick read for me and it's definitely a cute one too. Tori is Cupid or perhaps I should say an Earth bound Cupid so I'm guessing in theory that there could possibly be more. Tori has never left her hometown and now that her mother is widowed is pretty much run ragged trying to keep her party planning business afloat whilst also unfortunately being at the beck and call of her mum. Still there's an important event on the horizon and Tori is desperate to get the contract but what she's not so keen on is Heath, her childhood best friend returning to be the guest of honour. Heath might be playing in the big leagues now but once he was just the son of a cleaner and the town drunk. That never mattered to Tori but when Heath made it obvious he didn't exactly want more than friendship her teenage heart was crushed. That's all in the past but Heath hasn't exactly been honest with Tori and as events get more bizarre its perhaps time these friends have a heart to heart !
As I've said it was an easy and quick read that had the oddest romance because so much seemed to be in the characters imagination. There is a mystery to solve and a few people needed setting in the right direction but when it ended whilst not exactly rushed it did feel to me that everything came perhaps a little too neatly together
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from NetGalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
I wasn't too impressed by this book. The romance is more lustful thoughts and feelings. There isn't any attempt at getting to know each other or just doing things. I did like the addition of the sabotage of the events and the slight mystery of figuring out what was happening. #HerHomerunHottie #NetGalley
