I love a story set at Christmas so jumped at the chance to read this. I was curious to read it as it was written by Abbey Clancy and I wasn't disappointed.

Jessika has everything she has dreamed of - a pop career, a record deal, chart topping music. However, this means travelling away from her fiance Daniel. As her career takes off, will she get home in time to spend Christmas with Daniel?

This was a great romance story that showed elements of fame and fortune that I loved reading about. I was desperate to see Jessika and Daniel get their happy ending at Christmas.

Thanks NetGalley for this lovely festive, seasonal read.

I didn’t get on with this book at all. I dislike the main characters and therefore found it hard to enjoy the story

A fluffy easy read, romantic with plenty of Christmas spirit. I enjoyed this much more than I expected to. Ido love a good Christmas romance!

This is a lovely easy read which I soaked up over two days.

Jessika or Jessy to her friends in a newly famous singer who is living with the love of her life Daniel. She gets offered the chance to tour the USA with an ex boy band member who has gone solo. Things start of amazingly but the long distance relationship and time difference soon put a strain on Jess and Daniel's relationship. Can it survive?

An easy read that I very much enjoyed.

This book was a brilliant read and one that is perfect to escape for a few hours and loose yourself.
Characters that fall out of the pages of the book and make you fell apart of the story, the setting is lovely and captured well with words.
A great read. that I would highly recommend.

An enjoyable enough story but the cover is extremely misleading. The book is not Christmassy in the slightest and I purposely wanted to read it to get in the festive mood.
If I look past that its a quite good read if slightly predictable. Its full of relatable British humour and I could actually hear Abbey's voice as I read the character. I would recommend it to fans of 'chick lit' but it missed the mark for a festive read.

A light hearted read but too light hearted for me. Quite superficial and if I didn’t know the author had written a book preceding this one I would have by the end of the first chapter and at regular intervals throughout the book. The story preceding this book was referred to so many times that I wouldn’t have to read it. Lost of melodrama and diva behaviour with platitudes to ‘keeping your feet on the ground’ which if that’s your bag you will be thoroughly satisfied with this read. On the positive side it easy to read.

Thank you Netgalley.

You can tell there’s a lot of personal stories and insight into this from the author.

I love these types of book and I can easily get through one in a day or so. This was the same too but my major problem with it is that it looks and sounds like a Christmas read and it’s about 5% Christmas so it’s been marketed badly. With a better summer title and cover it would get a higher score!

I’ll Be Home For Christmas is written by Abbey Clancy. Jessica Malone is a singer who is offered a massive opportunity which would make her an international singing sensation. Cooper Blake has offered the chance for her to do a month long tour with him m in the US. The opportunity has come at the most inopportune of time, she has just got engaged to her boyfriend, Daniel. She is thousands of miles away, across the Atlantic, from fiancé, family and friends and faced with the paparazzi, making mistakes which test her relationship to the limit.

A light hearted Christmas chic lit novel, it is a quick and easy read. Enjoyable but not groundbreaking in its storyline. It combines humour, drama, relationships and celebrity culture into one storyline.

I received this book via Netgalley and Mills and Boon in exchange for a honest review. I am a #MillsAndBoonInsider #netgalley

A light hearted book this is an easy chic lit read. Not overly Christmassy so it could be enjoyed at any time of the year. A story of relationships, friendship, drama, humour, love and romance. Good settings in both Northern England and the USA. Likeable characters.

I recommend this entertaining, fun, and heart-warming read. Perfect for a holiday read or for a Sunday afternoon on the sofa.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review

Don’t get me wrong, this story was fun and cute enough. BUT with a title like that and a cover like that, I expected more Christmas. I found the title and the cover completely misleading and for that reason, I have to give it one star!

A romantic and lighthearted, easy reading chick-lit. It was only after I finished the book that I realised it can be read as a stand-alone or sequel to Remember My Name.
Jessika is settled, content and happy with her life but is then given an offer she really cannot refuse.
Cooper offers her a massive music opportunity that will send her International. It is a singer’s ultimate dream and one that she decides she needs to grab with both hands.
It is only a month and then she can come back home to those she loves or so she believes.
What she is not prepared for is the harsh realities of being away from home, the mistakes and resulting soul searching she will face.
I found the book went at a good pace and the characters were extremely likeable. It was just perfect for a relaxing read.
Thank you to Mills and Boon and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to review this book.

This is the second book that Abbey Clancy has released. I read her earlier book 'Remember My Name' and I really enjoyed reading it. I couldn't wait for her to release another book. Imagine my excitement when I first heard that she was due to release 'I'll Be Home For Christmas'. On second thoughts it's probably best that you don't as thankfully my excitement was only witnessed by my two Labradors and it wasn't pretty. Needless to say I couldn't wait to grab hold of a copy and escape into the world of bestselling popstar Jessika Malone. I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'I'll Be Home For Christmas' but more about that in a bit.
Once again, 'I'll Be Home For Christmas' came along at the right time for me. I was in need of a light hearted, fun, feelgood, romantic tale to distract me from a few things that I won't bore you with. Well this book certainly distracted me and then some. It took precisely two pages for me to become totally wrapped up in the story. I couldn't turn those pages fast enough. At one point the pages were turning that quickly that it was almost as if they were turning themselves. I found it extremely difficult to put this book down for any considerable length of time. The book had developed a hold over me and it was a hold that I didn't want to break. I charged through the latter half of the story and I reached the end of the story far quicker than I had wanted to. 'I'll Be Home For Christmas' is one of those books you are desperate to finish because you need to know how the story ends but you are enjoying the book that much that you are desperate not to finish it. Book worms will know exactly what I mean.
'I'll Be Home For Christmas' is well written. Abbey has one of those writing styles that is easy to get along with and easy to get used to. Abbey has based her characters within a world with which she is very familiar. She certainly knows how to grab your attention from the start and she draws you into the story from pretty early on and then that's it, you are hooked. That's how I feel at any rate. Abbey Clancy writes so realistically and uses such vivid descriptions that I felt as though I was part of the story myself, although the world of celebrity, whilst attractive in some ways is blooming scary in others.
In short, Abbey Clancy has done it again and she has written one heck of a fabulous book, which I will definitely be recommending to other readers. I will definitely be reading more of Abbey's work in the future. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 5* out of 5*.

When Jessika gets an offer for a famous popstar in the US to sign together, how can she refuse. But it will mean leaving her family, friends and new love of her life, behind for who know how long. Can she do it?

A lovely Christmas read.

Popstar Jessika Malone has recently signed a major record deal and currently topping the charts with her latest single - not only has she achieved those, but she also been offered the chance to tour with megastar, Cooper Black in the US, whilst promoting their newly released single together. However, the opportunity couldn't have come at more of an awkward time, as her boyfriend Daniel has just proposed! Thousands of miles away from her fiance, family and friends, now in a world where the paparazzi are on the heels of her feet, her relationship is tested more than ever.

Just from the synopsis, I knew this was going to be a read I would absolutely adore and it didn't prove me wrong at all! It was extremely fun to travel the US with Jessy, as we got to live out her dream beside her. She is faced with so many obstacles that Jessy and myself, as a reader, didn't know whether they were the right or wrong choices to make.

This book was a really light-hearted read, that I read between one to two days. I was a little disappointed about the lack of Christmas throughout the book, as the title and book cover will have you convinced it's Christmas themed, however, the majority of the book is based in the Summer, only the last chapter or two being focused on Christmas/Winter. However, that being said, it didn't make me like this book any less and now I know that this is actually a sequel to another book - I will definitely be purchasing that one when I have got through my extremely large Netgalley TBR list!

A feel good Christmas romance novel that make you want to curl up and escape to.
Pop princess Jessika has it all, loving boyfriend, record deal and supportive friends and family. Is being a celebrity what she wants and needs? A peek into a pop stars life which tells the tale of the highs and lows of being famous, ambitious and a star while trying to stay grounded.

Likeable characters and enough real and celebrity to keep you entertained. Throughly enjoyable romp.

As the wintry nights fast take hold, the urge to curl up under a cosy warm blanket and dive into a festive read grow strong. This delectable number has everything to offer in terms of dazzling entertainment, the glitz and glamour is bursting at the seams in this romantic offering and I was hooked from the opening chords.

Popstar Jessika Malone is on the brink of having it all, a glittering career that is growing from strength to strength, an incredible boyfriend who worships the ground she walks on and friends and family with endless unconditional love.....but in true romantic fashion - the too good to be true narrative has a nasty habit of rearing its ugly head and Jessika's world and priorities need a jolly good overhaul.

Although not overly festive in fashion....this story was everything I had hoped it would be. It was dazzling with a glitzy showbiz attitude and a full line up of entertaining characters to match. I was pulled into a glittering world of popstars on tour and I loved each and every minute of it.

I'll Be Home for Christmas is a glam fest, glittering showbiz cracker of a book with an entertainment value to top any charts. If this magical number hasn't reached your radar yet then please rectify this oversight immediately as this is one glamorous tale not to miss.

I really loved the concept of this book. I mean it has a Christmas theme and I am a sucker for a Christmas romance book. I was slightly put off when reading it that it didn’t really have much to do with Christmas HOWEVER I did like the storyline.

You have a young singer Jessika who has just made it big, she has a great career supportive family and friends and a boyfriend that loves her. Thing is she can’t have it all and when touring with Superstar Cooper Black in the US things start to change. Jessika needs to realise what she wants and the hardest part is voicing her thoughts and feelings. People get hurt but can they all overcome it?

I love the relationships in this book it wasn’t all instalove (which I do like) they had to work at their love and not everything is easy.

A thoroughly enjoyable read that had romance, heartbreak, fun and great friendship. It also had a LGBTQ+ representation that I felt needed more In the book but it was written well as a side to the main characters.

I'll Be Home for Christmas is a fast-paced adventure that will keep you on your toes right until Christmas!

I am so thrilled to be part of the blog tour for Mills & Boon for I'll Be Home for Christmas.

I'll Be Home for Christmas is the first Christmas book I have read this year, before the holidays begin. It is an amazing story about a popular UK singer, Jessika Malone, who receives an offer from a famous US singer to record a duet and go on a US Tour for a while. This is a dream come true, but this offer comes right after Jessica's boyfriend proposes. Wanting to spend all the time in her world with him, she is hesitant to go, but at the same time, this is an opportunity of a lifetime.

We see our heroine Jessika travel to the US and embark her adventure. I loved the fact that we get to feel what she feels, and live through her dream. We get to see her cope with new things and learn along the way, and it is amazing being on this journey with her. She is a character that knows what she wants and is not afraid to go and get it.

Be ready for some drama, and also be ready to choose sides.

The author makes it hard to know what is the right choice, and all choices seem to have their pros and cons, which makes the book even more realistic. I wish I knew what was right or wrong in life straightaway - that would be too easy. Instead, I keep coming across tough choices that sound amazing, and I have to really look though everything and choose what is right. You get to see this reality in the book, and it is refreshing.

Despite it being a Christmas book, I didn't really feel the Christmassy vibes too much, but I think that is due to the fact that the focus on this book wasn't entirely Christmas. We only got a glimpse of the holiday spirit around the end of the book - but it wasn't in a Home Alone sort of style. It was simple.

Despite that, I still enjoyed this book a lot, and it was the perfect book for me to get me through my days when I felt poorly and lying in bed. I recommend it to all of you out there that love romance, Christmas, a bit of an adventure and searching for our true selves.

Thank you to the team at Mills & Boon, for letting me be a part of this Christmas adventure!

A lighthearted romantic comedy with a festive twist.

Jess is going on tour with pop royalty and leaving her soulmate behind for a month, The story follows her journey and the problems and temptation she faces. There is the expected realistic ethos to this story, and that makes it enjoyable.

The plot is simple but the characters are likeable, and the challenges they face a good mix of celebrity, glamour and romantic conflict. The settings are well described and make the story more interesting.

Something for lovers of celebrity-themed romantic comedy, with a festive twist.

I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon in return for an honest review.
