This book is exactly what I needed right now. We Used to be Friends is a book all people need to read because it shows that not all heartbreaks come from lovers and the hardest can come from friends. The character development of both of the main characters was easy to relate to and also made me think that its something that I need to do. I am not kidding when I say this book is a must-read. It explores so many key events or tragedies that can happen in a persons life and does so with care and all most with a sort of respect for the situation.

This book made me laugh and smile, and at times become sad, but that's the whole point of books, isn't it? To make you feel emotions.

I also very much loved the chai obsession as I relate to that a bit too much.

The premise highly piqued my interests as friendship breakups are rarely treated with such gravity and care in books. I did enjoy reading how James and Kat slowly fell out with each other. However, I didn't connect as much with James, who kept teasing Kat for not being very mature, which in my opinion is more childish than saying "duh!" a lot. Because of this, I didn't feel the hurt Kat felt with her, but I did relate to that feeling deeply. All in all, it's an enjoyable yet frustrating read.

This book was funny heartwarming and clever the whole package for a ya novel.

I did also receive a physical arc of this and gave it a better review on my blog than I’m going to give it here. But it was amazing and I hope to see more from this author

I was really looking forward to this book, it has been on my TBR since i first read the synopsis but unfortunately, i just couldn’t gel with it. I never really likes James as a character and i ended up DNF’ing at around 30%

Definitely aimed at the young adult genre.
This is a fast-paced read that addresses teen heartbreak from an often-ignored source---friendship. Explores the psychological hurt that comes when friendships end.
