As a pastor at a multiethnic church, it is very important to me to study, appreciate, and learn from backgrounds different from my own. I loved Say It! And felt like the way the author showed how to preach effectively and in an expository way was beautiful. I learned so much from his stories, style, and interpretation. This is not a book to be missed!

A worthwhile resource especially for those unfamiliar with Black and African American preachers and preaching. It is indepth, thought provoking and covers a range of styles. The Preface by Charlie Dates is itself worth getting this book for. Recommended.

Thanks to NetGalley and Moody Publishers for ARC.

This is a fascinating read for anyone who enjoys Black preaching styles, but would be especially helpful to seminary students. White readers will learn a lot about how the Black experience shapes sermons and how they can recognize and promote understanding of that experience in their own sermons. Recommended.
