This book is a fascinating one for nature or travel book lovers. It's very different in its core. A naturalist travels to China looking for a beetle. It won't be a conventional read for many people, including me. But, being so different, it attracted me. It's written in a charming style, not boring at all, and I learned about something I'd never research about.

A really fascinating peek into a world I knew virtually nothing about! The story of a naturalist who traveling to China in search of a beetle is not something I had ever really thought about seeking out but I like books about unsual hobbies and interests so this was perfect for me. It's a little on the short side but we got a great look into the challenges of beetle hunting and why people do it. Great, unusual pick for anyone who likes nature/science but doesn't want an actual textbook.
