Loved this! Didn’t go how I was expecting it to go at all!! Well written, the spiral into mental health issues was very interesting. Great book. Thank u for letting me review this book
What a fabulous read. Tarryn Fisher has written an amazing book that kept me gripped to the very end. I found myself re reading the last chapters again and again just to absorb the story. She has created an absolutely creative plot. A very quick read. Highly recommended to all that love a story with suspense and twists.
Thursday is Thursday!
Married to Seth she is his Thursday wife. Along with Monday and Wednesday. Seth is in a polygamous marriage. Thursday only knows the other wives by their nicknames. Then one day she discovers something that leads her to identify one of them. She gets to meet Hannah and discovers her covered in bruises. It would seem her handsome loving husband may have a different life with the others. Does she really know Seth at all! Is everything as it seems.
Lots of little clues thrown into the book. However, you only realise them once you've got to the end of the book..
This book actually deserves 10 stars.
Interesting read. I was a bit open mouthed and had to sit and try and digest it all. It was good but there were parts I wasn’t to keen on, but on the whole was a good thriller to keep you on the edge of your seat
Wow 3 wives first of all why. All kept separate but what happens when this separation changes. I feel so emotional reading this book and following the wives and Seth. I am completely gripped. What will happened of they met.
have just finished this book and I’m not sure how I feel! I think it almost took the genre “psychological thriller” to the next level, in the sense that I’m still not entirely sure what happened in the plot 😂 I really liked the author’s writing style and actually felt it had all the potential to be almost a Gone Girl level of thriller, it just never quite materialised in the way I wanted to. I found the plot a bit over complicated and confusing, but I could see what the author was trying to do!
What an absolute mind melt of a book, Tarryn is the queen of just throwing everything you are thinking out the window and then some !
I love how her writing can easily captivate you and the story grew, it’s a great read, it’s not romance it’s a book that needs to be read
For me it didn’t really click with me until the 2nd half, then I wanted to know more, I was thirsty for this pay of the story and the clever play with the winds and the mind melting ! I wanted more and then it ended !
Gah !
3.5/4 stars

This book is about a woman who is the second wife of a polygamist. As multiple marriages are illegal, her husband Seth has legally divorced his first wife but remained in a relationship with her and has also gained a third (though not legal) wife. The woman telling this story isn't allowed to know the details or even names of the other wives but she becomes curious and tracks them down. She discovers some bruises on Wife number 1 and starts to grow suspicious of whether their husband is responsible. It's a really great idea for a thriller but I didn't love the execution. The story is quite twisty but you can see most of them coming and it feels quite rushed by the end.
What an amazing read. I have never read any of Tarryn Fisher's books before but I will certainly read more after having read The Wives. Them story follows Thursday as she copes with life being married to a polygamist. Seth also has wives Monday and Tuesday.Tuesday is Seth's first wife, Thursday is his second wife and Monday is his latest wife. All three wives know of each other's existence but never have any contact..
Thursday appears to be happy with her lot and accepting of the situation until her curiosity is raised when she finds a doctor's receipt.
Thursday starts to try and trace the other wives and so begins her descent and ultimately her unravelling. From this point onward the story becomes extremely dark and twisted.
A real page turner that you won't to put down.
When i started reading this book, i was not sure whether or not I would enjoy the story of three women fighting and being married to one man. However as the story unfolded it revealed hidden depths.
There are many twists and turns, a true suspense thriller with a shocking ending. Loved it!
I got hooked into this book immediately - it's a great idea for a story. However it read like a good first draft. I think it needed a stronger edit and I was surprised that it wasn't a debut novel. It's a shame about the execution because it had all the ingredients for a satisfyingly fast read.

I read The Wives over a weekend. It started out well, fast paced and punchy. Yet I felt the pace dropped off somewhat during the second half of the book and I felt the plot lost its direction. Still I felt compelled to finish it. I would rate this book 2.5 stars. Thank you to NetGalley, HQ and the author for the chance to review.

Yes, Yes, Yes and Yes. This book hits the spot in oh so many ways. It’s clever, addictive and keeps you guessing. I read it in a weekend and couldn’t put it down.
Thursday is married to Seth, she adores him and is the perfect wife. She cooks and creates delicious meals for him, soothes his furrowed brow when he’s had a difficult week and is exactly what he wants in the bedroom. But Thursday only sees her husband on a Thursday and for dinner on a Friday. Because Seth is also married to Monday and Tuesday. Monday is expecting Seth’s baby and Tuesday, the first wife, holds his heart as his first love.
This creates insecurities and jealousy for Thursday. Where does she stand in the pecking order? She wants Seth for herself and doesn’t want to share him any longer. So she searches for Monday and Thursday, creating plans to meet them. But things aren’t as they seem and Thursday’s searching means that things can never go back to how they were.
I Absolutely Loved this book. The whole story had me gripped from the start.
I rate this book 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 and would rate it higher if I could.
Thanks
Thank you to the author and publishers HQ for an advanced copy of this ebook in exchange for an independent review.
For me, a first book from this author.
It's a psychological thriller based around Thursday and her husband Seth and their foibles. He apparently, grew up in a family of polygamists and has gone down that road himself, having three wives. None of them know each other although they know of the others existence.
I found it very intense, sometimes unbelievable, and the ending was not surprising.
Thanks to NetGalley for a review copy of this book.
This was an unusual read for me but I really enjoyed the twists and turns within the story I didn’t at any point see what was actually happening very well written loved it would definitely recommend it.....
I loved this book, it held me all the way through from beginning to end. I feel that this could be turned into a film as it kept me wanting to find out what happens in the end. I really didn’t know who was doing what and to whom a wonderful book.
My thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
A genuinely taut and suspenseful thriller with so many twists and turns I was dizzy. Certainly didn't see the end coming as it did. Highly recommended.
Omg, loved this book.
Started off a little slow for me & I wondered if I could be bothered but soon got into it.
Would never have guessed the ending & so glad I stuck with it.
Never read the author before so didn't know what to expect.
The first book i have read by this author and oh my i loved it. Full of twists. What a journey and it certainly will blow your mind. I was hooked all the way through. I would recommend this book to everyone. You just don't know whats around the corner Loved it.
A brilliant read which was hard to put down. You really don’t need to know any more. Don’t read the blurb. Don’t read reviews. You’re wasting time. You could be on the first chapter already....
Oh this book! What a gripping read it was. For the first few hundred pages this book had me turning, and turning, and turning again to try and uncover the truth. It was a very fast-paced thriller and as it neared the conclusion things felt a little less gripping to me – but that’s always the way with a thriller, you’re bound to get to the end at some point! Nevertheless, a book that has you gripped from start to finish like this one did is definitely worth four stars.
