This is the first book I’ve read that was written by this author and I have to say it was fantastic. I loved the flow of the story it kept moving and it kept me enthralled. I couldn’t wait to find out the ending but I wasn’t ready for it to end. Thanks Ms. Knott for such a great book. I would definitely read more of your stories.
This is an Netgalley ARC review. All opinions are solely mine.
Lucy Knott’s Wishes Under a Starlit Sky was heartwarming. It wasn’t an overly Christmas book, it just has multiple scenes set around the holiday season. This book is full of perfect descriptions of Colorado during holidays. It is so perfect it makes me miss my time in Colorado at Christmas. It is magical,
Harper is a Oman who has to find her strength and self importance. She has a dream and makes it happen. Harper is surrounded by her friends and parents who all help her in their own ways.
This book made me feel all the feelings. I can’t wait to read more from Lucy Knott.
Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and Lucy for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I have absolutely loved this book. Lucy captures my attention from the beginning and keeps me hooked. She is such a talented author and always creates a range of likeable characters which are easy to relate to. Definitely a five star read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You know what? This books was not at all what I had expected it to be. I mean, it’s about a romance writer who is betrayed by her love. You think you know what’s coming next right? Well, it’s not that.
Rather than focus on Harper finding new romance, Lucy Knott opted instead to focus on Harper falling back in love with herself. And while that process did not at all look like anything I could ever imagine myself doing? The author manages to describe that journey in such a way that I felt as if I could follow along every step of the way.
The best way to summarise the entire experience, I think, is “open”. Every single character in this book is so incredibly open to change, to growth, to love ... Honestly, reading this book almost felt in a way, like a meditation al experience. Only, it manages to do so without ever being belligerent. Oh, and with a lot of snow, heart warming moments and no less than three Christmases!
This was another absolutely gorgeous book from Lucy and it came in to my life at a time I really needed. Harper's story was inspirational from beginning to end and taught me so much about how to live my life and that you don't need to be defined by someone else.
Wishes Under a Starlit Sky is a love story like no other and one of my favourite Christmas reads so far this year. Plus, I'll join everyone else in saying what a wonderful Christmas movie this would make! Hallmark and Lifetime... come and meet your next perfect project!
Happy publication day, Lucy!
The perfect Christmassy read in the lead up to the festive season. I utterly adored Harper, and i must admit I have some serious job envy. My heart broke for Harper in the first section of this book, but I loved seeing her rebuild her life. Her family are also such lovely characters.
This book would work perfectly as one of the sweet and uplifting TV movies you see in the weeks before Christmas . . . maybe Harper can write it? ;)
When you are in the mood for a light hearted read, full of love, friendship, family, moving on and happiness, then come to this book. Oh and I forget the best thing, Christmas feels. I adored this book, it’s another great read from Lucy. I did find that she moped a bit too much for me, but who am I to judge how you’d react after betrayal, I loved the friendship between harper and Maddi. This is a lovely seasonal read, recommended to bring a smile
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

Wishes Under a Starlit Sky by Lucy Knott is set around Christmas but can really be read any time of the year.
Main protagonist Harper has a job she loves, a husband she adores and great friends and family. Until her husband leaves her for another woman. She is absolutely devastated but she has her best friend Madi to help her heal.
First Christmas is spent without her husband, grieving her loss. For the next year's Christmas they decide to go visit Harper's parents in Colorado and that's when the healing begins.
This is a lovely book about love, loss and second chances. Beautiful Colorado setting especially around the holidays is absolutely breathtaking.
I thoroughly enjoyed all holiday activities that protagonist participate in as well as a loving relationships between main characters.
I found it a bit depressing to find out that Harper has spent a year laying around in her bed getting over her husband's betrayal. I found it a bit excessive and too much.
It is nicely written with a steady pace and is easy to read.
Wishes Under a Starlit Sky by Lucy Knott is a lovely holiday romance that is sure to sweep you off your feet. A beautifully written romance that is sure to get you in the holiday spirit.
Wishes Under a Starlit Sky is an inspiring and uplifting Christmas story. Set between London and the stunning Colorado mountains, we follow our main character Harper as she tries to rebuild her life after her husband abruptly ends their marriage. The story is beautifully written with wonderful, engaging characters, heartwarming friendships, and mouthwatering vegan food. I found this book to be a refreshing change from the traditional cosy romances. It's a story about friendships, loving yourself, and not being afraid to take risks. Harper was a lovable and relatable character. I enjoyed following her journey as she regained her self-confidence and found the courage to follow her heart. I absolutely loved this book and was very sad to see it end. I highly recommend this empowering, heartwarming festive story. Thank you to NetGalley and HQ Digital for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A wonderfully wintry and festive read. It's charming and moving. A story of healing and recovery after a break up. This isn't a romance, more one of hope, friendship and family set against a stunning Colorado backdrop.
I give it 3.5 stars
I expected cliché plotting from this book's description, and am very happy to say that while this book follows a bit of a formula, Lucy Knott has crafted a stellar storyline, and brought her characters to life so well. It's an engaging, emotional read of recovering from betrayal and healing, and author brilliantly brings us to some gorgeous settings that illuminate so much in our characters. I'm a big fan of books that breathe, that have sound, taste, movement. Knott brought this world to life, and made sure that all storyline swerves make sense, and the narrative keeps you engaged. I liked this one very much and will read more by this author. It's a big win for an author to take what's best about formula and still give it to us as she adds in logic, smarts, and the deep emotions of connection and love. This is a good one.
This was a really lovely feel good book to read albeit a bit predictable! Harper finds out her husband is cheating on her and struggles to get over it until her life turns in a new direction and she restores her happiness.
Wow!! Loved reading this and didn't want it to end! Harper seemed to have life sorted! Best friend, perfect husband and home, great job.......but....life was about to change. This book is full of what life throws at us all, from friends, family and what happens that makes us all who we are. Found this book pretty inspirational and certainly got me changing my thinking for the positive!
Absolutely cannot recommend this highly enough!
Need to read more from Lucy Knott

💕 I absolutely loved this book.
Once again, Lucy Knott has captured my heart with her writing. She brings her cast together with affection and thoughtfulness. Cleverly manoeuvring their stories forward at just the right pace and weaving together their lives.
Each time a new character is introduced, I find myself wondering how they will fit into the story. Hoping, that they will become a larger part of the journey on Harper's road to recovery. Each one brings a unique and welcoming perspective to Harper's life, with some insightful thoughts along the way. Will Harper find her Happy Place?
There are lovely messages conveyed in Lucy's writing, which I personally found heartwarming and encouraging. They are sent with honesty and gave me a lot to ponder. I have decided that "listening to the Universe" as Harper puts it, will guide me in making any big decisions in the future. Everyone needs a little self-love from time to time, and I believe that the messages Lucy sends within her writing, will mean something different, but very special to every reader.
A festive feel good read perfect for this time of the year to get you into the Christmas spirit!
Harper has received bad news from her husband who has been having an affair and now wants a divorce, what follows is a tale of female friendship and camaraderie between Harper and best friend madi! Set in London and Colorado the descriptions of the scenery and vegetarian food transport you to a winter wonderland full of hope and joy! New friendships and new experiences show how you can rebuild your life and end up with s much more fulfilling and meaningful one!
Thank you net galley for this early read.
Loved this book. Great characters, easy read, uplifting, funny, romantic and charming. A really nice story that is the perfect escapist read.
Pleasantly surprised by this book! Harper’s life gets turned upside down and this book follows her journey from that point. I have to admit I thought I had this plot all figured out after the first few chapters but turns out I was wrong! This was most definitely a love story but not in the conventional way, a lot of healing and self discovery happens against a beautiful Colorado backdrop. Definitely worth a read and will keep an eye out for more from this author
