Anyone But Cade is another quick, fun, enjoyable read from Ms. Bloom. I really enjoyed the first book in the series and was looking forward to this one. I must admit that I didn't like this one quite as well, simply because Cade's immaturity began to irritate me as much as it was irritating Iris. We both got past it, but I truly did not find it endearing. I did understand it, though, as something driven by his insecurities, so it made perfect sense for his character. As with other books by this author, this one will have you laughing out loud.

Iris and Cade were high school sweethearts until Cade made a huge mistake and cost Iris the future she thought she wanted. After the incident, Iris made a pact with her two best friends to forget about the King brothers, no matter how rich or famous they became. Now it's seven years later and Cade's back, unfortunately for Iris he's even more handsome and charming than he was when he left, he also still has the same attention span as a gnat. When Cade needs her help she finds herself second-guessing the pact she made and Cade's ability to change.

This was another great, funny, easy, no angst story from Penelope Bloom. From the first chapter I was cracking up, Cade is absolutely hilarious. from his interaction with his cellmate to the contents of his briefcase, I laughed through the entire book, I loved to see how Cade was able to help Iris loosen up a bit and enjoy more. There was a moment of depth when Cade was talking about Bear loving him for things like cereal and swimming and not his money that made my heart hurt for him a little. There's even a couple of unexpected twists. If you're looking for a light, sweet, low drama read, this is the perfect book.

Penelope Bloom never fails to brighten the day with her fun, light hearted narratives and Anyone But Cade is no exception. While it is the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone. The characters are entertaining, relatable, and absolutely adorable. Iris and Cade have a quick-witted, ostentatious humor that Bloom does well to volley back and forth. A great book to get caught up in and de-stress as it is boasting with tongue-in-cheek humor. 4 stars.

Thank you to #NetGalley for this ARC of #AnyoneButCade, which I read and reviewed voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Anyone But Cade is the second book in the Anyone But series by Penelope Bloom. This second chance romance has an engaging storyline, great characters, witty banter, some twists and turns, laugh-out-loud humor, and of course, a happily ever after.

I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.

This series (which each can be read as a stand alone) features the billionaire King brothers. This book is all about Cade. The fun, carefree, jokester brother. Trying to win back his high school sweetie isn't going to be that easy, even if he knows she's just as attracted to him now as she was back then. Iris may be physically attracted to Cade, but after he destroyed her life by his recklessness, she doesn't trust him any further than she can throw him, at least when it comes to her heart and her livelihood. Where he is always turning things into a joke, never taking things seriously, she is too serious and intense at times and very committed to doing her best at all things, most importantly her job. There are lots of laughs, and smirks... mostly because of Cade's immature way of thinking about things. While the main focus of the book is their relationship, there are a couple side stories that play a major part in their lives.. including some shocking surprises. It's a well written fun story. Even the emotional scenes were lightened by Cade's hilarity. :D There is minimal sexual content, though it is mentioned more often, including some innuendos.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read this book.
I was in two minds about reading this, as I didn't enjoy the first book in the series as much as I wanted to. This book unfortunately is similar. I have a lot of respect for the author as she has written some fantastic stories with her 'His series,'where I laughed out-loud many times.
Here, Cade as the main character is quite immature and doesn't seem to work too hard for the love of his life. It's probably just a case of 'it's not you, it's me,' with this book, as other seem to love it.

“Is it weird that I just want to curl up in a ball, roll downhill at full speed, and then take out his legs?”

After reading Anyone But Rich I was really looking forward to reading Cade and Iris's story due to their witty banter and I wasn't disappointed. The pair had me chuckling at their comments but it was mainly Cade that had the banter this time. I wish we'd had a bit more of Iris's sharp wit that we saw in the first book.
Loved the story line it kept me engaged and didn't want to stop reading. My only niggle was the same as the first book. I would have liked a bit more resistance from Iris due to how much she was against the King brothers return.
Looking forward to Nicks story as I'm not liking Miranda in this one. In the first book she was the one who was a bit more forgiving about the King brothers but in this one she's so negative. Maybe it's because she's worried the girls are gonna leave her behind for their happy endings. Guess we will find out soon 🙂

Loved reading the fabulous and fantastic second book in the series. When Cade brings Iris over to meet his son, Bear, Iris sees that Cade needs help in being a father and offers to help out for a month.
Iris tries not to fall for Cade again but his charm and humor is hard to resist. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read love story. Can't wait to read the next book in the series!

Anyone But Cade is the second book to the 'Anyone But..' series by Penelope Bloom. It follows after the first book, "Anyone but Rich' and this book focuses on Rich's brother, Cade and his story.

Seven years ago Cade and Iris were dating in High School but because of Cade’s actions and impulsive tendencies, they break up. Iris, along with her other two best friends make a pact that they vow to keep but surprise! Seven years later, Cade along with his two brothers are back and Iris does everything to avoid Cade. Cade however gets himself into a thing and gets Iris involved.

Cade is a wise cracker, impulsive, full of jokes, caring but man, boy is an idiot at most times but Iris and him pare so well together as she is also silly and goofy. This book felt a lot lighter and less intense relationship than the first book and made me chuckle a few times.

Overall this book is sexy, funny, interesting and not your typical soft romance and did not disappoint!

A worthy addition to the series, that had more laugh-out loud moments than its predecessor, but that isn't surprising given this book is about Cade.

Add a policewoman with a serious attachment to her nightstick, a guy who has always carried a torch and fantasises about being frisked and a very large amount of sudden unexpected responsibility and you've got a funny and sweet story strong with friendship, family and romance.

As a side-note, someone needs to do something about the King brothers parents. Seriously.

I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I was so excited to get this book. I had fell in love with the King brothers from the very first book Anyone but Rich and I liked Cade in that one, I liked Iris too so I was anxious for this book. I did enjoy it, however since I had cracked up at Cade's antics in the previous books, I was expecting more from him in this one. Please do not misunderstand and think I didn't like it, I totally did but again I was expecting more..I liked Iris but more in the first book, she wasn't as funny in this one and at times she just annoyed me- I don't think I like Miranda she is just too closed minded and too stuck up, I am hoping she can redeem herself in time for her and Nick's story..Anywhoo loved Bear, cute adorable funny kid. Wish I had more Rich and Kira-her I loved..Enjoy!

Unfortunately I wasn't impressed with this novel. Cade and Iris were high school sweethearts who broke up due Cade's immaturity. seven years later, he's now a billionaire with a kid and he still acts like a teenager. Iris becomes a sheriff still fighting her feelings for him and of course offers to help him with his son who's a little smartass. The banter was entertaining but a bit overdone. Just not what I expected from this author.

Anyone but Cade💕

Book two in the Anyone series by Penelope Bloom is finally here and it was a great book, with great characters and a great storyline with a few twists and turns❣️

Seven years ago Cade and Iris were dating in High School but due to Cade’s actions, they break up. Iris, along with Miranda and Kira meet to make a pact that they vow to keep. Now, seven years later, the Kings are back in their small home town and Iris has done everything possible to avoid Cade. Cade however gets some news that sends him into a tailspin and indirectly gets Iris involved.

Cade certainly grew on me with his comebacks and I have to admit there were a few times I was cackling away with his antics😂 Loved the ending and super excited to see what happens for Nik next🥳

Penelope Bloom is one of my favourite authors and her stories should not be missed. I was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy of Anyone but Cade via Netgalley, and want to thank Montlake and Penelope for the chance to review for this series and voluntarily leave my honest review😁

This is Cade and Iris book, this is book two in the anything but series! Iris And her friends swore and made a Vow to never fall for any of the king men Even if they became rich and mega famous! Now Cade King is back with his billion dollar company and his gorgeous good looks! Unfortunately his impulse control is worse than a toddler! So when Iris arrests him for disorderly conduct she definitely enjoyed herself! But now Cade has a little someone to take care of and he asks for my help! I think they’re both turning my heart of stone into mush lol I definitely enjoyed reading this one! This book and the whole series was definitely worth reading! I loved bear the little boy in the story he was a trip! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

I was so excited to read “Anyone But Cade” and continue on with this series, which I love! This book did not disappoint in the slightest. The banter and humor between Cade and Iris has me laughing and swooning until the very end.

I can’t wait to dive into the story of Nick and Miranda in the next “Anyone But” book and see what kind of trouble the King brothers get into.

Special thanks to NetGalley, Penelope Bloom and Montlake Romance Kindle Edition for gifting me this this ARC.

The pact against the Kinds boys is back. This time get Iris-, the bad ass female cope, attempting to steer clear of Cade, the childish playboy. But seriously, Iris is as big of a goober as Cade and they are meant to be. Now, getting to that meant to be is rather difficult with Iris and her pact, oh and the fact that Cade parades women around like a dog and pony show. But he does have something to show for it- 5 years in the making- so now how can Iris manage it and Cade.

This book was fun, silly, and romantic. These King guys are hot and sexy and totally irresistible. Miranda and Nick will be great! .
