Hunting has quite the knack of writing a male character who has the perfect amount of "rough around the edges" but a great heart. Bishop comes across as a cantankerous brute, but what I found to be most amazing is that despite him being crusty, his moral compass doesn't waver in the slightest. Talk about a diamond in the rough. So of course that sets up the perfect antagonist situation with the kin of the one person he can't stand...the team captain. And as cranky as Bishop can be, he's more than met his match in Stevie. She's smart, motivated, and a really good physical therapist. and she won't take his crap. Can you smell where this is going?

It's a great story that reminds us that we really can't judge a book by its cover and sometimes we love calls the shots, even if we're not ready to get in the game. A really fun observation...the main guys in the book are all named after chess pieces: Rook, Bishop, King. I guess they are all pawns in the game of love.

You can't go wrong with a Helena Hunting novel. She does a great job in her worldbuilding and writing a follow-up in the series!

I pretty much enjoyed Favor for A Favor more I would say. The set up was funny the whole mistaken for a puck bunny and the womanizing neighbor. Thehn Bishop's injury and now Stevie steps up to help rehab. Bishop can a major pain, grumpy but his heart is in the right place. He loves his brother and is a priority for him. This started of with the Bishop and Stevie butting heads but they do get along.

What starts as mutually beneficial situation becomes something else. With all that tension from before. I quite enjoyed their banter and exchanges, Bishop can be a jerk but he makes up for it. Stevie is great smart, capable and snarky. She gives Bishop's crap back at him when he's being annoying. Oh the rehab sessions has tons of innuendo and tension.

It's inadvertently slow burn in a way that their friendship and all that developed before jumping in. Bishop his injury and little other factors that popped up. They held out as long as they could. Then it was full steam ahead. Hanging out together and Bishop being nicer than his usual grumpy scowly ways. Also Stevie can be pithy so their back and forth has some humor.

When their new relationship is revealed not in a good way. They took time to figure it out but they talked after and that in itself is yey. Bishop can be quite sweet. I definitely want to hear more about King, I can imagine him looking like Chris Evans. He sounds fun even though he can straight laced. This whole Seattle team expansion is very much likable.

The brilliant Helena Hunting is highly addictive, and always sucks me in her stories from the jump. A Favor for a Favor has a frustrating push & pull which hurts so good. Stevie walked in on her boyfriend hooking up with another woman in their bed, so she's doing her absolute best trying to get past that when she ends up staying at her brother's condo, with a grumpy new neighbor making all kinds of assumptions about her which are false. Obviously, this means that Bishop (grumpy neighbor) is going to be a pain in the behind, and he is at first. Things start to change when a severe injury has Stevie helping him, and it's not long before they notice a chemistry, though try to ignore it. However, they make a bargain, as she helps him get back on the ice, while he helps her career since he's the first big name she's worked on to date. Bishop was one of those heroes, who is a brooding man, making him hard to deal with at times, while Stevie may or may no have trust issues at this time. Their interactions are filled with witty banter, even when I get mad at some of Bishop's decisions. I couldn't get enough of this story, and am seriously debating reading it again, though I finished it this past week. So, go ahead and hit that one click button, as you won't be sorry, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I honestly don’t know how the author does it but each book and each series get more amazing. I loved Bishop so much, his stony behavior to the outside world was such a contrast to how caring he truly was especially when it came to care for his brother. Bishop loved his younger brother and all his hard work was to make sure that his brother would be taken care of and his diabetes would always be watched, however his younger brother just wanted to be normal even it it meant living a lifestyle Bishop didn’t approve of. Bishop and Stevie’s first initial meeting doesn’t go too well because Bishop thinks she’s her brother’s mistress, so he misjudges her instantly and she thinks he’s a know it all cocky hockey player. This two had an amazing banter and even though they start off on the work foot things work out and they do a favor for a favor where Stevie helps Bishop’s rehabilitation and she gets to use his NHL status on her resume. What these two don’t realize is their feelings are real because they go from enemies to friends to lovers. They were perfect for each other and when they finally stopped thinking everything, they did for each other was only friendly favors did they finally see they were made for each other. I did love seeing more of the other characters Rj and especially Alex, but with each book I find myself becoming more annoyed than entertained by Violet, I get she is the o.g. character and she had been hilarious and that she is the kind of matriarch of these books and craziness but her constant meddling in others’ lives and word vomit has almost made me end up not liking her as much as I use to, I just think I have found her humor to be annoying lately and maybe her humor has lost its spark. Still a great read and still some of my all-time favorite characters I just think a few have ran their course.

A favor for a favor was everything I expected and more. It is so sweet, sexy and fun, there is no doubt that Helena Hunting is the queen of the rom-com, from the first words both characters owned my heart and I could not put it down a single second.

Stevie, our heroine wants to overcome an infidelity of her boyfriend, and moves to the building where our hero, Bishop lives. Their first interaction is not the best, and despite the attraction they both feel towards each other, a misunderstanding makes them think the worst of the other, but their first scenes are so hilarious that I couldn't stop laughing a single moment. After they clear up the misunderstanding, Stevie that is a physiotherapist, begins to help Bishop, who is a hockey player, to rehabilitate from a groin injury in a hockey game.

Through rehabilitation they begin to know each other, and their relationship begins to evolve to friends, but the attraction grows between them and their scenes are all so sexy, their slow burn chemistry almost burns my Kindle. Wow, I almost died of spontaneous combustion, I loved them.

Bishop is so sweet when he stops being an idiot, he made me sigh so much, and he cares so much for his brother and Stevie, he melted my heart. Stevie is so focused on being independent and not living under the shadow of her brother's fame, that makes her deny her attraction even more.

This is an incredible story, addictive, entertaining, so hilarious, I cannot recommend it enough, if you are a fan of the author and her stories you definitely will not want to miss this, it is a enemies to lovers that will leave you breathless.

Never boring, always funny, "A Favor for a Favor" is perfect if you want an enjoyable read without too much drama.
First Bishop and Stevie are ENEMIES, then FRIENDS, and finally LOVERS.
Their relationship and their feelings grow slowly but since the first pages the sexual tension between them is off the charts and that creates some laughing out loud scenes.
Helena Hunting definitely knows how to write romcom with witty banter, great chemistry, funny and lovely characters...
Prepare yourself for :
_sexiness,
_sparks,
_a bruised crotch,
_pizzas,
_a battle of funny underwear,
_an overprotective brother,
_an irritating ex-boyfriend,
_an adorable and grumpy and amazing hero
_AND a sassy and sarcastic and kind heroine.
---> Go for it!!!!

Bonus: we have cameos from our favorite HH's characters!

This was a funny, sexual-tension-filled slow burn, friends to lovers romance that I was glued to from start to finish.

I think I liked the parts where Bishop, normally so serious, let his guard down around Stevie and just relaxed. I love slow burns like this one and both MCs were written perfectly!

Would I recommend? Yes, Stevie and Bishop were hilarious! It was also safe of the cliché womanizing athlete (Bishop was a grumpy celibate hottie!) and OW drama. Then there’s Stevie, who always gave as good and she got :) I loved her spunky attitude. All in all, a really engaging read!

Helena Hunting is so hilarious! These neighbors will keep you up from laughing so much. As a new physical therapist, Stevie just wants to make her way in the world and doesn’t want to ride her brother’s coat tails. Her new neighbor seems to have a different idea of her and that leads to one of the most hilarious meet cutes. Their banter continues through the use of dueling door slams, newspaper pick ups and rescue calls.

Rook Bowman has a sister...a hot sister - Stevie and she's the star of this book 2 in All In series
She stumbles in the hallway of her brothers penthouse and out comes Pissed off Bear with a Bee in his Underpants A-Hole - Bishop Winslow in his ridiculous underpants...VA VA Vrooom!!🥰
"This guy takes the jerk cake with his asinine accusations. Such an epic waste of hotness.

He mistakes her for a Boner Killer mistress and there in starts the rivalry, the underpants game and the verbal repartee. It was so funny and light hearted, till emotions get involved!!
She's a sports rehab physiotherapist, and he's injured in the "Man Stick" area. It's. A huge comedy of timings when they get up, close and personal!
His stick gets painfully hard and she needs to be thoroughly professional while orgasming in the inside😁
"I'm having dirty thoughts about him. The kind I use as fodder for my private one-hand clapping parties after our nightly PT sessions. My vibrator has been getting one hell of a workout lately."

When two hot people work in such close quarters, there's bound b to be fireworks.
Sexy ones between Shippy & Stevie
Angry one from RJ!!
I loved Stevie, She has the BEST TASTE in Pizza- Pineapple & Olives for the win!!!!!
“If women can stomach jizz, you can swallow a bite of this pizza.”

He's gruff, sexy, hung & built.
I loved the banter, I love the chemistry.
Whip smart dialogues, Helena is very comfortable in the awkward sexual conversations
“I would rather eat a dirty, sweaty pussy than take another bite of that disgusting combination of toppings.”
“I haven’t showered since yesterday, so I have one of those if you feel like dessert.”

And their sizzling connection is too hot to handle.
A thirst quencher of a story for lovers of Trademark Helena Rom-com

A Favor for a Favor by Helena Hunting is such a great read. Loved everything about it.

The storyline was entertaining, the characters were likable, engaging and my interest was held from the first page until the end.

Another wonderful read by the talented Helena Hunting and a great addition to the All In series.

Hockey hotties Bishop gets a noisy interruption to his evening from a woman trying to get into his captains apartment. Stevie is not having a great day but her brother the captain of the Seattle expansion team, is there to help her out by letting her stay in his apartment. To make things worse she can not get the door open and her new neighbor is not happy with her. Sparks fly and insults are exchanged and view of the hockey good in his undies are frequent. This romcom is Helena Hunting at her best, I love it more because her characters are all I tertwined with her original hockey players and of course we get more of Violet.
Her characters are funny, sexy and passionate. Everything you would expect from a side splitting romcom. Bishop and Stevie are the new couple in her Hockey world that have found a spot in her heart.

If you like grumpy men then you are going to love this book. Bishop is so grumpy, awkward, and sweet, The more I learned about him the more I adored him. If you've read any of the Pucked series then you will love this book. It's a quick fun read.

Obviously I'm obsessed with Helena Hunting ... nobody can write a hockey romance like this woman can. She's the queen! This is the second book in her All In series, a spin off from the delightful Pucked series (which if you haven't read, you definitely should). We get snippets of characters we loved from the Pucked series, but the main characters are new ones that we get introduced to. This book features Stevie & Bishop. Both are fiery, both are a little bit stubborn, and both enjoy "accidentally" seeing each other in various states of undress. Stevie and Bishop are technically neighbors, but as Stevie helps him work through an injury he gets playing hockey, they start to realize there is more there. I loved their progression (both as individual characters & together), and I loved that Bishop was such a grouchy man character (except for when he starts to soften up to Stevie). Once again, Helena Hunting hit it out of the park, and I am SO excited for the next book in this series!

A Favor for a Favor is the second installment in the (All in) series. Though, this one could totally be read as a stand-alone.

The book starts off with our heroine, Stevie, not having the best of days. And to top it all off she’s told off by her new neighbor, Bishop. Her incredibly HOT - but incredibly rude - neighbor.

The two had the most hilarious back and forth, enjoyed getting on each other’s nerves and undeniable chemistry.

Bishop is a professional hockey player who happens to be her brother’s team. Durning a game, he gets injured pretty badly and needs extensive physical therapy.
As Stevie is started out her career as a physical therapist, she wants to help him out while helping herself gain more experience and further her career.
So they strike up a deal. A favor for a favor, if you will.

With the increasing amount of time they start spending in each other space, personal space, it quickly becomes harder to ignore their attraction and growing feelings for each other.
This was my favorite part of the book. I enjoyed watching it all unfold in the most wonderful way.

This story while admittedly predictable, was also unputdownable. It was sexy, hilarious and heartwarming. And Helena Hunting has this unique style that just pulls you in. I’d recommend it.

Absolutely LOVED this book. Hunting has magic with her words and this one did not disappoint. The story build then the character development. It was great banter and passion plus oh so much more!

This book was such a fantastic and entertaining read, I couldn't put it down. I was fascinated by it's characters, their banter and all things in between. I need some time to gather my thoughts to write a review this book deserves.

What is not to love about an enemies to lovers romance? It is one of my favorites and Helena does a smashing job with this novel. The the hilarious banter that she is famous for with the perfect amount of romance that keeps me glued to my seat. I only wish there were sexier moments, ones that I know she CAN write. Otherwise this is a solid read.

I ADORED A Lie for a Lie and couldn’t wait to dive into this baby, especially when I was all kinds of excited to get to know Stevie better, and I enjoyed getting to know both Stevie and Bishop. Their story was crazy, entertaining and frustrating ~ in more ways than one ~ and kept me turning the pages until the very end.

I really liked Stevie and Bishop, but man did they both try me at times. Stevie is hard working, sassy, sweet and just an all around good person, but man does she have some things she really needs to work out. I understood why she chose to avoid certain situations, but at the same time I couldn’t help but be annoyed because she chose to miss out on moments she could never get back. Bishop is all kinds of growly, broody, grumpy hotness with a good heart ~ and you all know how much I love my men broody. But, he’s so stuck on what he believes was ‘taken’ from him that he kinda came off as a whiny biaytch for most of the book, until he wasn’t.

Bishop aka Shippy and Stevie’s journey to their HEA was all kinds of antagonistic, but enjoyable. They definitely didn’t have a ‘meet-cute’ moment, but I liked how they got under each others skins and realized that they had a connection that neither expected. The bantering tipped more on the barb side of the coin, but it was fun and the chemistry between them was undeniable. The bump in the road wasn’t a surprise, nor was the fall out from it, but I have to say that neither of them handled it well, but thankfully they had people in their corners who helped them get back on track.

As much as I enjoyed this book, I have to admit that the outside drama overshadowed Stevie and Bishop’s journey. Yes, the Ex factor and RJ were relevant subplots to their journey, but I found the Ex issue annoying and that at times I was more invested in seeing Bishop and RJ have a “Come to Jesus” than I was in the romance going on. And while both were resolved, I actually wish there had been more to Bishop and RJ’s moment, they work things out, but one issue wasn’t to my satisfaction ~ but that’s an “it’s not you, it’s me” sitch.

Overall, though, this was a fun read. I loved catching up with RJ, Lainey and Kody. Violet was all kinds of crazy fun ~ she makes a great team mom. But I’m definitely looking forward to Kingston and seeing him get a little crazy.

Helena has done it again! I love her books. They are full of heat and humour which is what I love most in a romance book.
Stevie and Bishop were AWESOME! Their banter, their enemy-turned-friend-turned-lover relationship was everything!
Boxer shorts. Just boxer shorts. ♥

First Impressions...
Wow! I thought A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR was amazing! I absolutely loved Bishop and Stevie! I loved the way that their relationship developed, all of the crazy intense chemistry, and every single moment between them! They were wonderful! I also loved seeing more of RJ and Lainey and some of our favourite Pucked characters. ;) I've been a bigtime Helena Hunting fan for a while now, but this is quickly becoming my favourite series of hers so far!!!

This Book In 5 Words:
Sexy. Funny. Hilarious. Adorable. Exceptional.

As I mentioned, I loved A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR! I thought that Bishop and Stevie were wonderful! Bishop was surly, broody, and so awkward at times, but it was in the most endearing of way. He was also so freaking sweet...and genuinely tried so hard and I really just loved seeing him do his best to support Stevie...it was so sweet! Stevie, on the other hand, was a lot less awkward and definitely not broody. She was sassy, strong, and determined to make her own way. I loved that she was contradictory in many ways, but always managed to stay true to herself. :)

Stevie and Bishop were fantastic apart, but they were even better together and their romance was amazing! It was definitely a slow-burn...but boy was it worth it. I loved how their connection grew even before their romantic relationship ever started. I also loved the animosity between Stevie and Bishop at the start...I wouldn't call it hate, but there was definitely some fiery reactions going (their morning battles were hilarious...and I totally loved all of Bishop's "wardrobe choices" :P). It was clear right from the start that they had some intense chemistry! Once feelings started and things were underway...well bam! Their chemistry was phenomenal and I really loved how compatible they were...I'm honestly super excited just to get to see more of them in the next book now that they're together!!! :D

I highly recommend this one to anyone who loves slow-burn romances, especially if you love sport romances, broody, well-meaning heroes, and sassy, strong heroines!

Star Rating:
★★★★★

Overall, I loved A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR! I thought that the characters were wonderful, the romance was a fantastically sexy and well-developed slow-burn, and the story and side-characters were wonderful--I couldn't put it down! I absolutely ADORED the first book in Helena Hunting's All In series, A LIE FOR A LIE, and I loved this one, so I am ridiculously excited for the third book now, A SECRET FOR A SECRET! RJ and Bishop are amazing...and I just can't wait to see how amazing King is, too! ;D
