Casting Shadows will appeal particularly to the UK’s many freshwater fishermen and women, but you don’t have to be an avid angler to enjoy this interesting look at fishing. The main approach is that of a social historian combined with an aficionado, so you get genuine enthusiasm interlacing all the fascinating facts and titbits that are shared with us. The author is a natural storyteller with a very enjoyable, easy style that makes for great reading.
