This Is Love by Melissa Foster is a wonderful story. Remi and Mason are hot together. The sparks fly whenever they come together and their chemistry is electric.
Recommend it to all readers.
Keeping her safe was all that mattered and falling in love was simply icing on the cake. Melissa’s stories are such a joy to read!
Remi and Mason will heat up your e-reader! These two have done serious chemistry, that starts the moment Remi spots Mason at an event. At that time she doesn’t realize he’s about to become her bodyguard (or hottieguard as Piper calls him!) Great book with great characters. It has a storyline that will keep you guessing on whose stalking Remi. And just when you think the case is closed, the suspense rises again. Definitely another great book for Melissa Foster!
A good read of two characters from very different backgrounds and it takes Remi and Madison going through rediscovering each other to figure out that "This Is Love".
Melissa Foster's stories end up giving good and positive feelings!
This is Love is full of sugar and spice and everything nice with just enough heat in time for the holidays. Remi is full of sass and fire, and Mason might the only man on earth other than her protective brother who can match her. Mason is all about being professional, but he knows from the start that Remi might just be the one to break through his tough outer shell to the passionate man beneath. A fire that will keep you warm on a cold winter's night blazes between them, and it's a romance you don't want to miss!
Melissa Foster releases one enjoyable book after another, and definitely didn’t disappoint with Remi and Mason. Remi was introduced in previous books before, and I was really excited to see how things panned out for her and learn more about her backstory. It definitely tugged at my heartstrings.
Mason comes into Remi’s life when she is truly at her wits end with her bodyguards and is sick of being watched over so much. But with a stalker on the loose, every measure has to be taken to keep her safe.
These two characters have a ton of combustible chemistry, but they have to keep things under wraps until Aiden comes back home. Of course, things can never go as planned.
I really loved this book and getting to visit Harmony Pointe again. The stories always stress that you don’t have to be blood related to be family, and you’ll have support and be surrounded by love when you need it most. Very well written and cannot wait for the next installment in Harmony Pointe!
This is a fabulous book, and very hard to put down once you start. Remi and Mason's story is packed with passion, friendship and suspense. Their bubbling attraction is wonderfully written and you become invested in their story. Mason is a hunky alpha male, wanting to protect his client until feelings get int he way, then the urge to protect Remi becomes more primal, and Remi just wants to be herself and be normal.
It is also great to catch up with the Daltons and see how everyone is doing, and how their lives are moving on. This is one of the reasons I love Melissa's writing. You don't just read about a character in one or two books, they can pop up anywhere and their story melds in seamlessly. Now to get ready for Pipers story.
Oh me, oh my. What an emotional roller coaster! Happiness, love, and heartbreak with a touch of mystery and thrill.
Mason is strong, delicious, and protective – especially of his job which happens to be protecting Remi from a stalker.
Remi comes off as this super sweet, innocent woman who we find out has a touch of a bad side to her, but has a secret that no one could ever imagine.
Mason and Remi really are, unbeknownst to them, a match made in heaven and their chemistry is… indescribable! Right from the start, sparks were flying and those sparks were ignited into full fledged flames after spending time together.
The rawness of the emotions put Remi and Mason’s story at the top of my favorite list. Their stories were something I never saw coming and really grabbed a hold of my heart. Mason’s protective and nurturing personality was the icing on the cake and made the entire story just beautiful.
This is Love is a not to miss read. Do not let this emotion fueled romance pass you by because you will regret it.
Harmony Pointe is a fun little spinoff series of a much large one that I have not had the chance to delve into, but I find that it is not a problem as Melissa Foster’s skill surmounts any problems with backstory without any issues. I have found that I enjoy these stories very much, though it took me a bit to get into the first one, primarily because it was based on a story about a baby appearing on the hero’s doorstep and babies just aren’t my thing, but Remi and Mason’s story was perfect for me. Remi Divine is a jaded young actress that is really tired of all the crap that comes with being a successful actress—she has a stalker and her life is always in the spotlight to the point she doesn’t have one anymore. Her older brother has cared for her and held her tight since their parents’ tragic deaths years before, but she has been chafing at the reins for a while now and when this newest threat arises she just can’t handle the bodyguards and fortress he forces on her. Ready to put her foot down, she is in no way ready for the newest one-man action team her brother has hired, and when Mason comes into her life she is appalled to find out that the first man she truly feels a connection to, has been paid to basically keep her hostage in her life. Mason doesn’t like the bratty Remi in the beginning but the more time he spends with her, the more he understands how sweet and caring she is and the harder she is to resist. Mason and Remi both know that they should resist the pull between them, but once they give in the passion and love that develops is life-changing for both of them, but the threat to Remi’s life is only getting to a more deadly degree. Mason will give his life for her, but Remi can’t lose the one man that she has ever given her heart to just to stay in the spotlight, so maybe it’s time for both of their lives to change. I truly loved Remi and Mason’s story because they both had so many layers to dig through in one another before they got to the core of their personalities, but once they did it was easy to see how perfect they were for one another. Remi has had so much tragedy in her young life, and despite a few bumps, has weathered them beautifully. She is determined that she will do something good for the world with her celebrity and give back to those in need and that really made me like her. She was sweet and smart, caring and brave, but she also gave back sass and was a smart-ass when she needed to be to stand up to her brother or Mason. She was definitely no pushover when dealing with the alpha mean in her life and I loved that. Mason was at the same time just such a GUY, his need to protect and control was strong, but at the same time he listened to Remi and made she sure also had was she needed to be happy. I love how sweet he was in caring for her and seeing that she was not just surviving but thriving under his protection. He has his own tragedies in his past, and it takes Remi giving him a new project to truly help him work through a lot of those issues, but when they come together on a plan those issues seem to lift right off his shoulders and allow him to fully embrace the greatness within. The heat between these two burned from the beginning and whether they were arguing, flirting, or making love there was no denying the connection or fire between the and I doubt it will be burning out any time soon. I am looking forward to the next in the Harmony Pointe series and plan at some point to make my way through the original series as well because the characters we have met in these books that had their HEAs there seems very interesting. A sweet and interesting read to brighten up any long week.
This was a joy to read! It has a bit of The Bodyguard, forbidden love type of feel, but also two broken souls healing each other, and not to forget a nerve-wracking case of a stalker on the loose.
Actress Remi Divine is sick of living in her gilded cage. Having lost her parents at a young age, her older brother stepped into the parental role, sheltering her perhaps a little too well. When a stalker breaks into her house, he amps up security and hires bodyguards for her. Feeling suffocated, Remi has already escaped her guards before, and lashes out at them and her brother at an upscale event. As a compromise, her brother Aiden arranges for the owner of the security company, Mason Swift, to step in as her bodyguard while he’s overseas on business, hoping Remi will feel less oppressed this way.
Well, he’s right, but perhaps not in the way he was hoping. Remi and Mason are insanely attracted to each other from the start, but fight their attraction, both for different reasons. After a series of misunderstandings and confrontations, they learn to trust each other. I like how Mason doesn’t coddle Remi, but actually takes her thoughts and feelings into consideration. He also gets her to venture out of her protective bubble and setting boundaries. They find themselves opening up to each other, deepening their bond. While convinced they cannot ever be more, they become friends, which is wonderful to witness.
When they finally give into their growing feelings for each other, sparks fly and this new development does not disappoint. However, considering Remi’s relationship with her brother, they decide to fly under the radar for a while, which causes all sorts of wonderful UST when they’re out in public.
Remi also has a lovely surrogate family nearby, although I found it a bit difficult to keep that family tree organized in my head. When I let that go, I could enjoy the family and friendship dynamics much more. When Mason and Remi embark on a project that touches them on a personal level, their friends are quick to offer their support and input. I could have done without some of the lengthy descriptions of setting up the project, but it does showcase the thought they put into in and their passion about the cause.
The book is sprinkled with witty dialogue and some funny moments, as well as some that’ll get you choked up. The romance between them is fast and intense, but easy to get swept up in, not to mention the absolutely sizzling love scenes. The stalker part of the story adds a nice element of suspense, with a surprising plot twist when you least expect it.
It took me a little bit to get into the story but once I did I grew to love Mason and Remi! They started off on the wrong foot, but found their footing pretty quick. Sparks flew from the start, and of course they denied it at first, but we all know that just means it's inevitable that they're going to end up together. It was only a matter of time. There was a touch of suspense throughout the book because of Remi's stalker, and I love me some suspense. There were funny moments, very hot and steamy moments, and some teary-eyed moments.
Loved meeting Mason
Overall 5 out of 5 stars
Performance 5 out of 5 stars
Story 5 out of 5 stars
We are back and this time Remi gets her chance ha a HEA. She just was not looking for it in a bodyguard. Most of her guards would not roam to her or even treat her like she matter. She was more than a subject.
Mason was hot sexy alpha intelligent and more. He saw her for who she was not what she represented.
For me John Lane did the job very well. His voice was inviting and hypnotic.
This is Love is the second in the Harmony Pointe series, though it could stand alone. I found it to ne entertaining. The romance is not quite balanced by the suspense of the stalker. I was hoping for more emphasis on the stalker. That being said, I enjoyed the journey to happily ever after of the hero and heroine. The bodyguard trope worked quite well and I found the characters believable and genuine. Others have mentioned the dialogue, however it didnt bother me. I was entertained and would seek out other books by Melissa Foster.
I received my copy through NetGalley under no obligation.
I have been a fan of Melissa Foster’s since before she started the Love In Bloom series. This book is my favorite so far. I know, I know, I say that about many of her books but this one takes two characters who, of course, are not looking for love and forces them to open their heavily protected hearts and take a chance on each other. Remi is still struggling with losing her parents in a car accident when she was young, and Mason has hardened himself after living a very difficult life. These two do not belong together but they make total sense together.
Remi and Mason have a unique relationship since they are employees, employers. They are thrown together in a matter of life and death and in a world that criticizes their every move. Yet, they understand each other better than those that have known them much longer. They see the reasoning behind the actions and reactions, they understand what each other needs beyond just the quick glance, and they open themselves up to helping, loving, and supporting each other to find that happiness. There are no secrets between them and they accept each other just as they are.
When I pick up a book by Melissa Foster, I know that I will get the hot, alpha male and the strong-willed, self-assured female but I also know that I will get a story that has amazing friendships and wonderful families. The secondary characters are just as marvelous as the main characters. Their relationships are just as important and the way they love each other heartwarming. I look forward to these characters since they always play important roles in the lives of the main characters. And I always hope that they will get to tell their own stories in future books in the series.
4.5 Stars for This is Love ( Harmony Pointe, #2)
Book 2 in the Harmony Pointe Series and this is Remi Divine and Mason Swift’s story.
Mason Swift runs a security firm and his company have been hired to protect Remi Devine, an actress who is being hounded by a stalker, problem is Ms Devine is determined to lose the bodyguards assigned to her and that means Mason needs to step in.
It’s not until tragedy strikes and Mason and Remi find themselves in real danger do they both realise what they mean to each other. Sizzling chemistry, instant attraction and witty banter mixed with passion and suspense make this a must read. Looking forward to more in this series
Love....love....love Remi and Mason. I’ve loved Remi’s spunk since we first met her and she didn’t disappoint in her very own book. Mason is swoon worthy and I love the protector but not too overbearing vibe. They both have such a sad back story and I’m so glad Melissa wasn’t afraid to talk about some hard topics. I love the focus on the foster care system. There is just something so wonderful about Harmony Pointe.
This was. a fun title. Thank you for letting me read it. I am going to on Melissa Foster's backlist. I am grateful this book is on Ku
I love Foster's books. She writes such loyal, loving heroes and smart, strong heroines. I love the dynamics between the leads and the way there's always cameos from others I love.
I absolutely loved this romance! the main characters had great chemistry, and the secondary characters added some great texture to the plot. Can't wait to read the next in the series.
Whenever I read a book by Melissa Foster I always feel that she takes a piece from my life always in a good way, never bad. Remi and Mason's book was no different. Remi is a headstrong woman with fears hidden deep, Mason has his own heartache and together magic happens between them. I was hooked when Remi was talking about getting a tattoo of Just Breathe on the inside of her wrist, which is something like her I'm terrified to do. Mason comes from foster care and the scars run deep. Together Mason helps Remi overcome her anxieties all while keeping his promise to her brother to protect her.
