Who doesn't love a romance book by Susan Mallery. I adored her books and this one is no exception.

The book follow's Renee Grothen who is a wedding planner, she makes everyone's wedding days special but she herself isn't lucky in love herself and as the saying goes those who can do those who can't don't. So, let's add into the mix an ex-military man Jasper Dembenski who is now a writer. The attraction is real for the pair of them so start a fling, things are going well. Sparks are flying there is heat and they both know the score, that is until Jasper finds that Renee is his muse...

As I said I love Susan Mallery's books, there is always a little bit of heartache added into her books along with some really smile provoking scenes. We all know that there is going to be a happy ending but are we going to have one for Renee and Jasper?

A perfect book to escape into another world.
A contemporary romance at its best.

Perfect characters and a great storyline.

I loved this story, set in a wedding destination town in america. Renee is a wedding planned and Jasper is a loner crime writer. After a one night stand where they decide for a no strings attached arrangement. Things are going great until Jasper wants to help plan a wedding for research to help with his new book.
I love this so easy to read, fun and sexy!

This book was a brilliant read and one that is perfect to escape for a few hours and loose yourself.
Characters that fall out of the pages of the book and make you fell apart of the story, the setting comes alive and captured is well with words.
A great read. that I would highly recommend.

Meant To Be Yours is written by Susan Mallery is Book 5 of the Happily Inc series. Set in the wedding destination town Happliy Inc, Wedding Planner Renee Grothen doesn’t plan on getting married herself! After meeting handsome exmilitary turned bestselling author Jasper Dembenski she has a proposal - for a no commitment fling. Jasper feels that he is too emotionally damaged to commit to marriage or a committed relationship so they should be the perfect non couple - two commitment phobes. Unfortunately for these two characters they fall slowly in love but will they be able to share their secrets, fears and hopes for the future and have their committed HEA.

This is a contemporary novel with themes covering romance, friendships, humour, second chances and overcoming obstacles to love. I enjoyed inclusion of Renee’s mother who could understand the animals!

I received this book via Netgalley and Mills and Boon in exchange for a honest review. I am a #MillsAndBoonInsider #netgalley

I struggled to get into this book - I didn't love it nor dislike it, it was simply something to read.

It's part of a series of books, but it isn't necessary to have read the others for this one to make sense.

Meant to Be Yours is the fifth book in the Happily Inc series by Susan Mallery. It can be read as a standalone because during the story you are even told how the town of Happily Inc got its name. That was the one question that I needed an answer to as I hadn't read any of the other books in the series.

I'll admit that I am not the biggest fan of the contemporary genre, and I think, because of that, I wasn't able to invest myself in the book. It took me a while to read. Having said that though, it was quite a cute story, especially the fact that the main character's mother can understand what animals say. I really enjoyed her conversations with giraffes, they made me smile. In fact, I think that the best parts of the story for me all involved animals. There was a scene where Jasper Dembenski, the main male character, rescues a dog. Another where the main female character Renee Grothen looks into adopting a cat, and there was also a fun scene involving a lot of dogs, but I am not spoiling things by even naming that scene.

I think the animals in the book were a must because there were many not so happy moments when we look into Renee and Jasper's pasts and the way that they affect the kind of relationship the two are willing to have. They think as there is a mutual lust between them that all they want is a friend with benefits type thing. And boy did the author write some steamy 'benefits' scenes! But along with the lust, when real feelings might be developing that's when the true angst sets in. I am pleased to say that they do have a happy ending even if it seems a long time coming.

Fans of contemporary novels with a unique character (Renee's mum) and some great animals will love this book. For me it was OK, but I am still happy to recommend it.

Meant to be Yours is a contemporary romance set in the wedding destination town of Happily Inc. Even though this is the fifth book in the Happily Inc series, it can easily be read as a standalone romance as I did and still be enjoyed.
Happily Inc is a town which is thriving as it caters for all manner of weddings. The main character in this book is wedding co-ordinator Renee. Even though she spends her life creating memorable days for happy couples, she has sworn off marriage and serious relationships
Jasper is a famous writer who has PTSD and believes he's too damaged to be in a committed relationship.
The duo decide to have a no strings fling but then their worlds begin to collide and they have all their presuppositions challenged.
The more the couple get to know each other, their feelings grow stronger. Will they be able to share their secrets and hurts from their past? Will they be able to get over their fears of commitment?
This is a lovely story of second chances, romance, acceptance, friendship and taking chances.

I always enjoy reading books written by Susan Mallery I was so excited when I was approved to read this book as I had read an earlier one about this particular wedding event planner called Wedding out of the Box. I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and Renee’s mother, who could understand what animals wanted to say, made for some really enjoyable, and unexpected, twists and turns! I thoroughly recommend this as an easy to read and enjoyable book.

Love love love!

Renee is a wedding planner in a town that has a major focus on weddings, it's their main business. Jasper is a crime writer who needs help writing a love interest for his detective...

I loved Renee, she is independent and will fight for what is right, she won't let Jasper push in or take over when he asks for her help by following her around

Jasper takes time to process what is going on but after a troubled start where I struggled a bit with him and how to relate to him I found him a loveable character, although I'm not going lie, it was a bit odd reading a book where the main character is writing a book in the book!

Their story grabbed me and sucked me in to the extent that I stayed up way later than I should on a work night to finish it. Bit of a spoiler alert here but there is a bit of sex near the beginning so I hope that the man I was sat next to on the train whilst reading it didn't mind too much and wasn't really offended when I skipped though a little bit to make my journey a bit easier 😳

Both Jasper and Renee had their difficulties and this book looks at how they may overcome them to become stronger people whilst not losing who they are

I would recommend this book to so many people, but especially those who enjoy a wedding and a story with a crazy twist I so wasn't expecting!

The start of this book is so poignant and makes you like Jasper from the start. Koda is lovely and gives the story another dimension. Renee is an excellent wedding planner, she likes to be in control and is a true professional. Book five in the Happily Inc series reads well as a standalone. The cast of characters whose romances have featured in earlier books, enrich this story.

The attraction is instant, but the emotional connection the couple subconsciously yearn for is riven with conflicts. Some external, but mostly due to the couple’s fear of commitment and trusting another with their heart. The romance is gentle, but the passion is hot and this gives the story a wide appeal.

A lovely heartwarming romance, with some unusual subplots and a cast of characters both animal and human, that add charm and a sense of community to this story.

Susan Mallery is a new author for me so I’ve not read any of the previous books in the series, although this book can be read as a stand alone story. I’m not a huge fan of books written in American English and usually try to stick to UK authors but thought I’d give this one a go as the blurb & cover art appealed. Although the story was decent enough I found the US spellings & colloquialisms etc put me off somewhat from the first sentence on page one; however, that’s not a reflection of the story or the author just my own reading preferences to which I will stick in future.
The story was enjoyable enough, with a decent plot & some well developed characters that hold your interest (although I was not a fan of Renee). It was entertaining enough to keep me reading, but unfortunately I won’t be looking for any further books in the series.

Meant to be Yours is part of the Happily Inc Series and this is the story of Jasper and Renee. Jasper is a best selling author trying to find a way to finish his latest book when he meets Renee, the local wedding planner. Neither think they will ever fall in love and want a no strings attached relationship. Jasper feels he is too damaged after suffering from ptsd and Renee has had bad experiences in the past. Slowly they start to heal each other and get their own Happily Ever After.

An entertaining feel-good read, well written with believable characters. I hadn't realised it was part of a series when I started to read, but this didn't spoil my enjoyment and I will be looking out for the other books.

Thank you to NetGalley and to Mills & Boon Insiders for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Here we have an author and PTSD and Dog meets a Wedding Planner with a Mum who can... (spoiler not included).
It is this Mum who gave her daughter serious issues with her won relationships - the daughter loses boyfriend after boyfriend... Absolutely love the Mum here! And what she discovers.
Now Happily inc, a wedding themed town, I can believe in but could never live there...
Overall a nicely written story with an unusual setting and wacky ideas - for weddings! I just had to assume that people had actually done this, and sure enough there were several Pinterest pictures of a Zebra theme but no actual zebras in these pics.

The latest entry n the Happily Inc series from Mallery does not fail to deliver... it is a solid continuation with characters we had met on the periphary previously... Jasper the reclusive famous author and Renee the maternity cover wedding guru at Weddings Out Of The Box.

Both were interesting characters and I am glad that they got their HEA but for me it was the animals that stole the show... in particular Koda the dog
