Enjoyable murder mystery.
There's enough lines of enquiry to keep the police and Monica busy and the reader intrigued. This is the second Monica Noble O have read and they have both been a good read, perfect for a Sunday afternoon.
Thank you Netgalley for the digital copy in return for an honest review
So i tell myself just one more chapter and then ill get up..but this does not happen. A book that does not allow this as every chapter ends on a question that you just have to know the answer to. Monica Noble series is a great read and i look forward to theee appearing on Ner Galley
THE MANOR HOUSE MURDER Faith Martin
The third in the series, this was at a church conference, that Monica and vicar Graham attended. A murder happens and Graham is a suspect.
After marrying Graham and moving to this small village, Monica found she has a knack for solving crimes. With this she puts herself in danger to solve. Good series. Given ARC by Net Galley and Joffe for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
How the police would manage without vicars' wives at the moment I don't know. They certainly seem to be in vogue. A very readable story by Faith Martin once again. Nothing too heavy, but who would expect a murder at a conference of C of E clergy.? At least you should be sure that they're telling the truth, but are they?
Loved it
I read a free advance review copy. This review is voluntary, honest and my own opinion.
A Clerical Conundrum.....
A clerical conundrum in this, the very welcome, third book in the Monica Noble series of mysteries (previously published as 'An Unholy Shame' under pen name Joyce Cato). Vicar, Graham Noble, has been asked to speak at a clerical convention held at the local Manor House - with wife, Monica, at his side for support. When murder rears its ugly head suspects are numerous and, with such a revered guest list, motives appear short in supply. Will Monica turn amateur sleuth once again as it appears that the local constabulary may be on the wrong track completely? Wholly entertaining, thoroughly engaging and well plotted with likeable protagonists in both Monica and Graham and a colourful supporting cast. Definitely my favourite series to date from Faith Martin and always a one sitting read. Absolutely full marks for sheer enjoyment value.
