The Assassin’s Curse
By Cassandra Rose Clarke
October 1, 2012

Pirates, assassin’s, curses and magic. What's not to love about The Assassin’s Curse? I loved every bit of it. I can not wait for the next book.

Thank you to Strage Chemistry (publisher) and NetGalley for the e-copy in exchange for an honest review.

I had initially marked this book as I will not give feedback, as I requested/DLs in 2012 and upon a review of my netgalley titles I was no longer interested in this title as my reading tastes have changed since then. In trying to improve my netgalley ratio I have learned that titles marked as not giving feedback do not count as a review. So writing this to thank you for the approval but I will not be reading or reviewing at this time. If that changes in the future I will leave a review on instagram, goodreads, storygraph, and amazon.

Remember falling in love with this book when it was released. A fun read that had me captivated to the very end and one I would love to reread at some point!

Fun but I just couldn't become fully enmeshed in the world, nor did I connect with the author's writing style. It's quite fast paced and probably could have used a bit more length to fully flesh out the story and characters.

A good engaging book that I highly enjoyed, it was well written and had a lot going on!

I remember reading The Assassin's Curse a few years back and being a bit disappointed in the story. The characters and the setting though was so vividly rich and interesting that I really hope to read it and its second installment again very soon.
