This was a good book to read. I'm sure we would all like the occasional gift of hindsight.'
Ben is given the chance to revisit his past life and see how different it could have been. I enjoyed the fact that the soul searching was being done by a man rather than a woman, a refreshing change
Fairy story? Maybe but a good holiday or gloomy winter day read. It would make a good film

This is a really enjoyable read. The author takes you through various time periods with authentity, as he leads you through the lives of the characters.
It poses the question "would you go back and change your life?" And answers it perfectly.
I would recommend this book to all.

Not my usual genre, but this story of Ben and Daphne whose marriage was on the rocks and old flame Alice beckoning in the wings, what's Ben to do. A beautifully told story, with flashbacks to the past, where Ben first meets Alice and Daphne, the present day, now married to Daphne and both unhappy and the future, where Ben see what path his love life has taken. Is he with Daphne or Alice??? A tantalising read. A must read.

Loved it! I was totally immersed in this story of a marriage that has lost its sparkle, and the temptation to rediscover ‘the one that got away’. I loved the idea of going back in time and re-experiencing key events through more mature eyes. Totally life-affirming - it will make you look on your own relationships with fresh eyes. A magical Christmas read.

Flashbacks to critical points in your life. Think sliding doors but not just one event. Changing small but crucial things. Talking instead of letting resentment build up. Making time to reach out to family and friends. Wil it all lead to a changed outcome or not? A fascinating look in to Daphne and Ben's relationships and how to value what you have got instead of looking elsewhere. Love the side character of Harv, a friend you would want in real life. Really enjoyed reading and keeping my fingers crossed for the next book.

A modern up to date twist on a traditional story. Took me a while to work out the past, present. & future story line. Interestingly written, thoroughly enjoyed it

This book reminded me of Time Machine/Back to the Future. But instead of Future it was past/future/present.
When Ben is given a watch by someone in a pub after overhearing his and his best mates conversation that’s not working and is stuck on just before midnight, he goes home, drinks nearly a whole bottle of wine, goes up to the attic to get the decorations for Christmas. Finds an old biscuit tin that his wife’s kept of past memories.
From there starts a whole cycle of how things used to be, what he wanted to change/do differently. Every time he meets the same man in different places who gave him the watch.
The book keeps you guessing what happens next and where Ben will end up, will things have changed as he wants or still be the same. Read to find out.

Ben. Daphne. Alice. The eternal love triangle set amongst a past - present - future Dickensian 3 step approach to romance.
I so wanted to read this book when I first heard about it over on Twitter. The cover and blurb reeled me in for the read of my life.
Romance is my reading playground but with a codicil. I like different. I wasn’t disappointed.

Wonderful story with a Dickens’s twist! Absolutely loved the unpredictability of what happens with the characters and how’s personalities unfold. Sometimes we are so self absorbed that we really can’t see the wood for the trees. Humongous 5 stars!

A magical modern day retelling of A Christmas Carol.

Most love stories out there are from the female POV, so it was nice to read from a male perspective this time. Ben was not even close to being the perfect man, but despite that he was a really likeable character.

Around the retelling of the past, present and future we get to see Ben looking at the decisions he's made / thinking of making and with hindsight whether he will learn from them.

I totally fell in love with this beautiful story. Tom Ellen brought so much magic to the story and made my heart swell.

This was such a delightful, romantic read. Obviously it's based on A Christmas Carol, but still managed to go in directions I didn't expect. The writing is so light and funny but also packs an emotional punch.

A Christmas Carol meets About Time. I read All About Us longing for Ben to get his happy ending. A perfect Christmas read - I loved it!

All About Us is a magical book to warm your heart around the holiday season (or even completely outside of it, I read it in February ;) ). It is a reimagined Christmas Carol with man at a low moment in his life - still struggling emotionally after the loss of a loved one, coming to terms with lack of writing career, losing energy and willingness to work on his marriage and at a brink of starting an affair. The day before Christmas Ben is thinking if he made the right choices in his life, he is considering all the what-ifs. The biggest what if for Ben is: what if he married a different person? At this moment stranger gives Ben a broken watch and wishes him that it will answer all his questions.
The strange encounter in a bar ends in a series of time jumping days, where Ben gets to relive some of the most important days in his life. He has the chance to see what he could have done differently, how it would impact his life in the present.
I thoroughly enjoyed the story. For me, the story showcased how powerful love is, and how much of a self-centred asshole we can be. The book gives us hope that we can always change.

It was really easy to sympathize with the main character, even though we don't share any common experiences. Some emotions and shortcomings are universal, no matter what experience brought them on us. Ben often struggles with a feeling of inadequacy, and he tends to fall into self-pity. This is very much understandable for me, and I believe it will be the same for many readers. This universal traits make the book enjoyable and warm your heart.

At first I was not sure then the story drew me in. The parts about his mother were so sad. I did not see the ending coming. A good twist. I loved the watch man Well worth reading. A nice cover.

I felt like a change of reading style, when I saw this book, it was fun, serious and quirky all at the same time. I read it really quickly, it kept me engaged and I didn't want to put it down!

The characters were loveable and you were really rooting for them, I loved the 'what if', aspect of the story, I'm sure like me most people have wondered how different their life would be if they had made different choices along the way. Read this book, it will make you think about that.
Really enjoyable.

Compelling reading and most thought-provoking. The thought crosses our minds so often if we took the right path - should we start again? What changes and decisions would we make? Thank you to NetGalley and HQ

I never thought that I would give a romance five stars, but here we are.

This is a fantastic read that I’m managed to devour in an afternoon as I just couldn’t put it down.
We follow Ben whose marriage to Daphne isn’t going very well and he keeps thinking about how things could’ve been different. What if he had fallen in love with someone else?
On Christmas Eve, Ben is given a broken watch by a stranger whilst in the pub with a friend and suddenly he is thrown back into the past. He begins to relive Christmases from his past and slowly figures out where everything went wrong.

Despite the premise being rather simple, I felt that it was done to perfection. It had the perfect level of romance, whilst also being sad and heartbreaking. Nothing felt too cheesy and I thought the time travel was executed perfectly.

Overall I absolutely adore this book and cannot wait to pick up a physical copy and police in October 2020. If you are a fan of contemporary romance, or if you’re thinking of giving the genre a try, I recommend that you give this one a go!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for sending me a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
