I just love Aurora Rose Reynold's heroes! They are so sweet and caring to their leading ladies and this hero is no exception. He is soooo sweet, attentive, and protective that this story almost gave me a cavity!

This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone, as I did.

Gaston (yes his real name) and Chrissie have a chance meeting at a club and have a whirlwind romance with a small amount of mystery thrown in for good measure.

I don't think I have ever read a book in the Alpha male genre, Gaston is very demanding yet sweet and caring; very loyal and supportive. I have not truly encountered a character like him before and it was an interesting take on a male lead. The mystery and twist was somewhat unnecessary and the romance moved at lightning speed. But in the end, it was a sweet story with engaging characters.

What can I say Aurora never let's me down, I have yet to read a book that I haven't loved. Every character has their own character and these characters where perfect for each other! The only downside is Aurora books read so fast and now I'm left needy! Excellent book!! Happy reading!!

This is the perfect feel good story! It was super sweet and just made me smile. It had a fun story line and gives you all the swoony feelings. There was a sort of cat a mouse game between the characters that was intriguing. It was a little more on the sweeter side than I typically enjoy but it is the perfect story if you need something that will leave you smiling.

I’m so glad I chose this book to start off my 2020 reading!
I LOVED IT!!!
A definite must read!!!

Baiting Him is the second book in the, How To Catch An Alpha series, but it can also be read as a standalone.
Aurora Rose Reynolds is spot on when it comes to the chemistry between Chrissie and Gaston. Their romance is the stuff fairy tales are made of.

Overall I loved the feel good vibes. There is a little angst mixed in but the relationship portion of this novel is epic and on point. I couldn't put this one down. From start to finish it consumed my every thought and my day. I can't even begin to describe how much I love ARR's AlphaMales! I need more Gaston's in my reading.

I love Aurora's book and love the fact that they always include some sort of plot twist that you never expect. I also love the alphas and how they will do what they have to to get the girl that they want. I cannot wait to read more in this series.

This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and can be read as a standalone. This is Chrissie and Gaston’s story and it is a well written, sweet, heart-warming, and enjoyable instant love romance story. I was totally hooked throughout this addictive page turner, and I highly recommend for all readers.

Baiting him Aurora Rose Reynolds

Christie is in a posh nightclub on her friends bachelorette party she goes to the ladies room which is packed out then makes the choice to go into the gents, as it’s empty, she passes this nugget of information to another lady. Gaston is the club owner who watches all this play out. He tells her off as the gents is now full of women and the men cannot get in! She is feisty and he falls for her from the offset.

Lovely story beautifully written though I did feel it was a little slow to get started, compared to Aurora Rose Reynolds other books still a very good story so stick with it. 4.5/5

M/F Romance

Chrissie loves her life. She has amazing friends and an amazing business. What is not amazing is her relationship with her dad and she worries about her mom. While her parents got divorced last year, Chrissie never would have suspected that her dad was a cheater. However, once he was married to his mistress, Chrissie hasn't heard from him. When she meets Gaston (Gus), she knows that he's wildly attractive, but doesn't believe that she'll ever see him again.

Gaston (Gus) owns several nightclubs and businesses. When he meets Chrissie for the first time, he's immediately taken with her. She's smart, snarky, and gorgeous. When he can't seem to get her out of his head, he takes the extra steps to find out where she works.

Chrissie and Gus' relationship was very easy to relate to. They deal with real life problems and handle them together. It was fantastic to watch them lean on each other, support each other, and finally find their love. I really loved each of the main characters in this story. And while it's slightly on the predictable side, it was still enjoyable.

Triggers: Cheating, GHB mention

This is the second book in the series, and could be read as a standalone – mind you, Catching Him was such fun that you shouldn't really miss out! Chrissie and Gaston (Gus) are really the perfect match – but obviously they don't realise this straightaway, luckily Reynolds knows just how to reveal their romantic journey to us. It is a lovely read, which I would definitely recommend to you.

Chrissie runs her own bakery called The Sweet Spot. She is a workaholic and reluctant to release control, or risk taking on more staff in case she overextends herself. She is creative, but sensible, and after her parents went through a messy divorce, she is cautious about commitment. So when the dynamic, successful, and very handsome man that she met at Leah's hen party turns up at her bakery, she is somewhat nervous of believing he is interested in her. As Gaston proves himself to be really the most ideal of men, she starts to soften her attitude.

I won't say anything more, as you should enjoy the story yourself, but rest assured that it is a book which will leave you feeling satisfied... although you may want some pastries or cookies to hand, as it is one of those books where you feel envious of their sweet treats!

So not what I was expecting when I saw the title and the blurb but I still really enjoyed this book
Full of parts that made me smile but also with a bit of heat Gaston and Chrissies romance is full of emotion
Gaston is good looking and used to women falling over him but Chrissie doesn’t, she meets him in a club and tells him to go away but things change when he sends her flowers and then comes to her bakery just so he could see her again
Chrissie is independent and has a broken family, her mum had a bitter break up from her dad and this colours the story. Watching her mum move on is amazing to see and I’m sure will resonate with so many people. Her dad on the other hand cut of contact when he left with the “other woman” and this causes a lot of tension
I loved Chrissie and Gaston’s relationship and it was a story that made it clear that it didn’t matter how long you are with someone, if they are the right person then you will know and it can and will make you happy
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy a traditional romance, with a bit of spice, but who also enjoy a deeper backstory that could get you emotionally involved

I love everything Aurora Rose Reynolds writes, she could write a shopping list and I would enjoy it. I thoroughly enjoy her special brand of alpha's who may have a past where they have never settled down, but when they see a woman they want, they don't let them get away. I also enjoy how she manages to write women you want to be best friends with as they are normal, flawed women, not model perfect, but beautiful none the less, as well as strong minded, taking no sh*t.

This series is no different, from the first moment Chrissie and Gaston meet, I had a huge smile on my face, which didn't quit until the very end.

As with all ARR books, Baiting Him is filled with great characters, laughs, suspense and a happily ever after that is Oscar-worthy. Another book I highly recommend, and look forward to the next in the Series.

I loved the character names. Gaston was a unique one and honestly made me wonder what woman actually named her kid after the villain. I liked how the issues with each character were resolved over time. The whole daddy issues thing wasn't too overdone and I feel like it all comes to a nice resolve. All the characters had ends tied up in a satisfying way.

This one was little more subdued than "Catching Him". It was okay. I do find a big blank between the introduction of the antagonist to the culmination of what the antagonist does in this and the prequel story. The person is introduced, you get a little gist of something off with them, and then they aren't involved in the story for a long time. You either find out they are the result of some devious machinations or you read about their arrest. But they don't have much to do with the story at all. I find think kinda odd.

Anyway... on to the next book

I love this style of story- nice people who fall for each other. Sounds to good to be true, but here is a book about people who aren’t sex maniacs, jerks, obsessive compulsive career hounds, corporate alphaholes, etc...it’s about two people who make you root for them to be together.

Talk about yum-my! Not only did the food and scrumptious sweets that Chrissie created make my tummy rumble, but Gaston was the delicious hero every woman weak for an alpha dreams of. He was sexy, gorgeous, intelligent, articulate, kind and caring, successful, and everything Chrissie could ask for. They meet and, despite Chrissie's reluctance to take a chance on potential heartbreak, he was relentless in his pursuit of her (which I loved). The development of their relationship was a lot easier than I expected, not counting the sliver of drama towards the end. Gaston and Chrissie's love was smooth, effortless and inevitable. Their chemistry was on point, there was very little angst, and the sex scenes were exactly what I was hoping for. No fade-to-black here people!! It's been a long while since I've read anything from ARR, but if this is the type of story I've been missing, you better believe I'll be going back for more!

4 Baiting Him Stars

Baiting Him is the second instalment in the How to Catch an Alpha series by Aurora Rose Reynolds. You don't have to have read the first in the series though to enjoy this book.

Cassie is a very sweet heroine with a bit of an emotional side to her. She owns and runs a bakery she loves and doesn't really have much of a life outside that. She's out for the first time in a very long time for her friend’s hen night when she meets this incredible hot, sexy man. Although she has no allusions about this man or that he might have any interest outside a one night stand and she's just not into that so she dismisses him.

“Don’t confuse men and boys, sweetheart,” he says, then lowers his voice. “And don’t assume you know the kind of man I am when you haven’t given me a chance to show you what I’m made of.”

Gaston (Can I say what a name!) is out to prove to Cassie that he is not that type of man she thinks he is. He just wants a chance with her, he knows what he wants and will do anything to prove his worth and convince her she's it for him.

This was a really sweet read for me but the suspense part took up way less of the story then then blurb would allow you to think. It was a tad misleading. However if you’re looking for a nice easy, with all the warm feelings read, then this is for you

It was a cute read. I liked the main characters, they were relatable and actually pretty mature. I enjoyed the progression of their relationship, and how they each had their own thing going on. The supporting cast were likable (mostly) and added to the story.
