Another great addition to this wonderful series. My kids love these books and so do I. This was another favorite!

A sweet little book, suitable for ages 6 - 8. I read with my class when we were learning about animals and they were interested in the presenter, David Attenborough. Not a lot of detail or text, but a good overview of his life with charming paintings to illustrate, and a timeline at the end. Good as a simple example of a biography in the classroom.

Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book. I really enjoy this series and plan on reading them all. Before this I had not heard of David Attenborough. I know these books are for children, but even as an adult I am learning things from them.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I’m going to be honest with you, I had no clue who David Attenborough was prior to reading this book. Now I know, and I’m interested in learning more. This is my first of the “Little People, Big Dreams” series (I’ve been approved for 3 others), but I can certainly see how these books would be amazing tools of use in the classroom! Was this a comprehensive lesson on Mr. Attenborough? No, but it would make a very nice introduction or supplement to a lesson! I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes out for these books with the intention of adding them to my classroom library!

I love these Little People, Big Dreams books. I had no idea David Attenborough had done so much in his life. An advocate for the natural world he’s been on television, documentaries, had numerous animals named after him... it’s all incredibly interesting. A soft natural pallet compliments this small story of a big dreamer.

Another great addition to my favourite series 'Little People, Big Dreams' which introduces young readers to lives of outstanding and inspiring people.
I grew up with nature documentaries made by Sir David Attenborough and have always admired his intelligence, patience and enthusiam, so I was vey happy to see this short biography by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara. Like other titles in the series, it is informative, written in accessible language and accompanied by quirky fun illustrations.

David Attenborough is a new biography for young readers in the Little People, Big Dreams series. I've reviewed a number of these titles and all of them are delightful and exuberant little books which cover the lives of famous cultural, science, arts, and innovative icons while maintaining an age-appropriate level of detail.

Due out 4th June 2019 from Quarto on their Frances Lincoln imprint, it'll be 32 pages and will be available in hardcover, and ebook formats.

Written by Isabel Sánchez Vegara it's well written in clear accessible language. The gentle and sweetly whimsical illustrations are well done. The art by Mikyo Noh is appealing and colorful and supports the text very well. The art is rich in small subtle details which bear a closer look (like the little butterflies, bugs, reptiles and more which appear throughout the book).

Well written and appealing, I am really enjoying all of these little books. This one is a worthy addition.

Five stars. This would make a superlative reading circle book, classroom library book, or gift. Sir David Attenborough is an intelligent and accomplished spokesman for conservation and our lovely planet and this book is a nice introduction to his life and work for the youngest generation.

I actually hadn't read any of the Little People, Big Dreams books before, which is odd since there are so many. The art is really cute, and I love the clear progression from little David's interests to following a course of study to fulfilling his dream. There are animals on every page, some clearly literal, others a little more personified or symbolic of his dream (a little His Dark Materials type daemon style). My four year old enjoyed it and enjoyed the pictures of him at the end so we could talk about how this is a real person who actually did this. It will be a great segue into watching some nature docs with her.

David Attenborough, by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara is part of the Little People, Big Dreams series. Vegara introduces Attenbrorough early in his childhood and highlights his unique curiosity into the natural world. Noh's illustrations are warm and inviting, appealing to both young and old readers. Young readers may be familiar with Attenborough's narration of recent nature films and will find this title accessible and inspirational. Vegara offers additional titles at the story's end for those interested in finding out more about Attenborough's life. I highly recommend this title!

Another gem of a book in the series of Little People Big Dreams. I have admired Sir David Attenborough and can't wait for my kid to grow up, so that we are able to watch all his documentaries together. Until then I will read to her about the path David took to become a famous broadcaster and natural historian. The illustrations are amazing as usual and the information on the formative years of Sir David's life is a great starting point to talk about different occupations and natural history as well. One really can't go wrong with this series.

The Little People, Big Dreams series are becoming my favorite children's books.
I didn't know about Sir David Attenborough, so Ms. Sánchez Vegara's book had valuable information for me. As it happened with other books in the series, after finishing this one, I started learning more about the main character. A great book, with the beautiful illustrations and inspired text that we are used to by now!

A good addition to this series, it was fun to learn he'd always loved animals and to know that so many creatures have been named after him.

While scanning through the books on NetGalley, I stumbled across this awesome new board book series for babies and toddlers. The vibrant, yet simple, covers displaying historical women that I have grown up learning caught my eye, and it instantly drew me to dig in and see what this series is all about.

Through my reading and my post-reading research, I have learned that Little People, Big Dreams is a series that focuses on introducing the youngest of readers to amazing, wonderful women that have influenced the world.

Each book is purposely designed in order to highlight one woman who has made a difference in the world. It tells the story of that women's dream and how she was able to make her dream come true despite the biggest obstacles.

I loved the simplicity of the design of the series, Little People, Big Dreams. The authors and illustrators who have worked on this project clearly understand their audience, and they have made each of the books reflect exactly what they want their youngest of readers to be exposed to.

Designed for babies and toddlers, Little People, Big Dreams uses simple text and engaging pictures to tell the story of each woman in a kid-friendly manner.

Often times, my biggest complaint with board books is that they lack plots or messages. Even though board books are purposely designed for babies and toddlers, I absolutely believe they still need to be strong examples of books that contain both strong plots and messages. All age levels of children need to have access to great texts.

I loved how Little People, Big Dreams designed their biography series for baby and preschool readers. There are not many nonfiction book series out there. This series is absolutely helping to pave the way to push the norm for what we typically think of when we think of baby books.

Little People, Big Dreams series is a positive example of how even our youngest of readers can read and learn from awesome books!

The story of David Attenborough was absolutely-deserved to become one of the newest biographies add to the Little People, Big Dreams Collection. David's contribution to our world as one of the great environmental activist of all time is surely deserving of his own book within the Little People, Big Dreams series.

This book is sure to be loved by both you and your littlest reader as you learn all about his fight to bring social equality to all of the world.

Hell yes!

I've read many books from the Little People, Big Dreams series by Isabel Sánchez Vegara, but I believe this is my favourite so far. And I can pinpoint exactly why: This persons history- David Attenborough's - resonates with me. So far, I found the stories entertaining and enjoyed that I was learning new things, which is always a plus. But a person wishing to spend their life with animals I can understand.
That's probably a very privileged point of view to have. But then, I still have to read from people with my problems, being neurodiverse, disabled, enby, ace. One day, my friends. The day will come.

Back to the book.
Everywhere are animals where there don't need to be some. One picture shows Sir Attenborough in a library, and in the seat across from hin, placed on multiple cushions, sits a chameleon. The part about animals being entertaining guests in television studios made me laugh, and I badly needed that. The spread including animals that have been named after Sir Attenborough impressed me.
From all those I've read so far, if I wanted to purchase one, it would be this book.

I recieved a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This picture book is a wonderful non-fiction biography for parents and children to enjoy together.

The illustrations are sweet and the text is interesting, but not too long for the youngest readers. I'd say this could easily be read allowed to curious preschoolers.

It’d be a fun addition to a storytime focused on animals, providing a role model for little animal lovers.

Great elementary biography!
