Bit of a slow one to begin with, gets better although I feel a rushed end. Not a bad idea of a book just feel it could of been better

An absolutely fantastic read by a wonderful author. I haven’t been able to put this book down and I’ve managed to devour this book in just one sitting.
I have loved this one from start to finish and have nothing negative to say about it.

Light hearted read about 4 sisters, and a boy that could tear them all apart... do you trust your family...? I enjoyed this book, the structure was a little hard to follow but I did love flipping between the sisters to see their point of view and how their piece of the puzzle fit into place. I had some inkling about things that may happen, however I was surprised in others - which is a nice change for this genre! Nice ending, albeit a bit rushed - but it certainly sets it up rather nicely for a sequel I think!

This was my first time reading a book by Shari Low so I had no idea what to expect. It took me a little while to get in to, but once I did, I was hooked. The author has a unique style that includes well developed characters and a great plot. I look forward to reading more by this author!

Zoe Danton just got dumped by her boyfriend, Tom; someone she could see a future with. Not only was she in a relationship with Tom, he also happens to be her business partner. Zoe is determined to get over him and enlists the help of her sister Verity.

Trying to get Verity to go out with her, she meets Ned Merton. Zoe is determined to jump in head first into this relationship. But there are so many secrets between Zoe and her sisters, not just Verity but also, Marina and Yvie and they all seem to stem around Ned.

Not even a month after Zoe and Ned were married, Zoe is trying to figure out who slept with her husband. Finally, all the sisters spill their secrets.

I really enjoyed this book. The story was different and it was a great look at the complexities of familial relationships. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough trying to sleuth out teh answer. You should definitely pick this one up.

This is the first book I have read by Shari Low so it took some time for me to get used to her style. I was not very keen on Zoe's forced sarcasm at the beginning, but later on the story grew upon me. It was really interesting to watch the changes of the group dynamics between the sisters.
This is an enjoyable story and I think I'll look out for other books by the author.

I always enjoy Shari Low’s books and this is definitely one of her best. The story is based around the lives of four sisters who are all battling their demons in secret. The storyline has lots of twists and turns which are really unexpected and you can’t predict the ending of the book. As always the characters are believable and you want to find out what happens to them next. I genuinely couldn’t put this book down and read it in two days.

Solid three stars for another Switzerland mediocre book for me which I didn’t hate but also I didn’t love so much.

Writing is fluent, emotional, especially sisterhood parts and their connections, family bounding will resonate with me. I can say the same with the romance parts and I truly want to punch the ex-husband and throw him out of the window and then hit him with my truck (I don’t have truck but I will happily buy one to torture this unlikable character.)

The beginning and introduction of the characters with few words kind of Agatha Christie novels’ presentation style gave me smile.

Of course Marina was one of my favorite sisters, with her struggling to keep her family life intact which reminded me of my own sister.

Overall:not so much memorable book for me but at least I didn’t get bored and I still want to read more works of the author, adding to my nearly collapsed, higher than Mount Everest and longer than Big Wall Of China kind of tbr list.

Special thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books to share this ARC COPY with me in exchange my honest review.

Easy to read novel about four sisters. I really enjoyed reading about their lives and relationships, their dynamics with each other, all of which were told with honesty, empathy and humour.
I love the way Shari Low writes, she cleverly draws you in with sharp character observations and excellent narrative.
My thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the advanced reading copy in exchange for an honest review.
Highly recommended 4.5****

Great story about four sisters who eventually shift what what they want to feel to what is actually happening. I appreciate that they realize that they really do want the best for each other because family is more important than the circumstances of the past that they choose to define their relationships.

A huge thank you to Netgalley and also the Publishers for this lovely ARC.
The title grabbed my attention more than anything else. One month marriage? Thats something, atleast, I don't hear everyday. And on the top of that it was my first Shari Low book and definately not my last.
This story can be sited as Woman's fiction. It started with the aftermath of our main protagonist Zoe's failed marriage. From the very first chapter we get to catch the effect of that failure in that voice and also the sarcastic way the lead woman talks about her marriage. Definately a sore point. But as the story progresses it gets a new angle with the information that her failed married life may be linked with one of her sisters and the plot gets interesting. I really underestimated this book. The story is not straight as you think and the plot revolves around different relationship(not only Zoe's) and the complexity of it all in modern day life. The whole book captures her struggle with personal life and relationships with various others and the way she grows above that all. I loved her bond with her sisters. They were awesome. Always there for each other. Though the plot suggest romantic potential throughout the book, it wasn't until the very last page that you get to see Zoe with the man she deserves and was under her nose right there all along. This a story surrounding family and their affairs as much it was about a woman's character growth. Personally I think it was a lovely book and is worth all the time of woman's fiction readers.
I certainly recommend it for all book lovers looking for a great story and good characters.
Happy reading!

I wasn't sure about My One Month Marriage at first. I was struggling going between the four sisters and jumping between time periods. You definitely have to pay attention! But once I got the characters under control, I really enjoyed the book. Low tells the story of four sisters that are coming together after one sisters failed one month marriage. You learn about their past and growing up together and their current lives. Marina resonated with me the most. She is struggling to keep her perfect family together and keep everything else together as well. I love the bond these sisters have and envied them much of this book. Low made the most unlikable character out of Ned! He reminded me of a few people in my own life. I actually enjoyed every character and thought she did a great job of bringing them to life! I will be recommending this book and will be looking for other works by Shari Low. Special thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the advance digital copy in exchange for my honest review.

The description of this book was a bit misleading. It didn’t exactly represent the story line. For example “one month later her heart is in pieces” is so wrong because she’s actually more relieved. I went into thinking I was going to be reading a different story. Also, several of the characters were annoying to read. But I liked the way the end wrapped up, I just wish I didn’t read the synopsis first because it influenced my expectations of the book.

Also, this is probably an uncorrected copy but the end where Yvie ends up with Gino...that probably should have read as Carlo? If not, that group dynamic was so weird.

The end was the only redeeming part of this story.

I have read all of Shari Low’s books and enjoyed them all and this new book doesn't disappoint.

When Zoe Dalton’s marriage is over after only a month and seems that it could be down to one of her sisters, they all come together to hash over the reasons why. As they finally talk to each other properly for the first time in years, they discover the personalities they formed to protect themselves when tragedy struck their young lives has followed them into adulthood.

An enjoyable read about the relationship between sisters. It is lighthearted and warm with great characters, it also incorporates characters from previous books. A fun filled book which I would recommend.

Zoe Dalton's marriage is over, and it's only been a month. With the help of her three sisters she attempts to figure out what went wrong, why her husband strayed. When a close friend calls and gives her shocking news she's not sure what motivations her sisters really have.

This book was about so much more than a short failed marriage, it's about familial relationships, tragedies and triumphs, secrets and facades. So well written, we see all four sisters struggle in their own ways with their own lives while they all have the same root issue of their parents divorce and the subsequent fallout. Each sister was so relatable in her struggles, not only with insecurities and life issues, but also in trying to get along with each other and navigating the difficulties of sibling relationships. I really enjoyed this book and each point of view, they were all written so differently from each other that every personality came out. Beside being deep and dealing with some tough issues, it was also funny with plenty of light hearted moments. I also like that not everything was wrapped at perfectly at the end with a standard hea, yes, there is one of sorts, but there were plenty of situations that were left open ended. Overall this is a great read, anyone with sisters will absolutely relate.

This book took me a little while to get into but I’m glad I persevered as I found it a light entertaining read. This book epitomises female friendship and the ties that bind us as families, this is illustrated really well with the relationship between the four very different dalton sisters. The dalton sisters had been devastated when their parents divorced this was then quickly followed up by their fathers suicide, the effect this had on each sister has shaped them into what they are today and the pact they made at that time has continued to help them support each other through many life events! Funny heartwarming and sad at times but well worth a read!
Thank you net galley for this early read.

Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This story of four sisters, and their adventures and misadventures with trying to find a mate was warm, funny and heart-wrenching by turns, The author made the characters come alive, and I was almost sad when I finished the book, because it meant I would have to say goodbye to these people and never find out how things went on for them. The only criticism I have is that the style is very similar to Marian Keyes - but I enjoyed this book too much to nitpick - and that the title does the book a disservice. Yes, the one-month marriage is at the heart of this book, but it's so much more than that.
