Fantastic read...
Gripping, unputdownable and completely engaging.
This is a fantastic read, I can’t wait to recommend this one to everyone. I can’t say anything negative about this one.

Absolutely loved The Wife Stalker! An excellent psychological thriller that you just can't put down.. put it on your list of must reads !

I was a huge fan of the last book I read by Liv Constantine so was really excited to read this. Piper sets her sights on Leo, a father of two and will not let anyone stand in her way to get what she wants. Joanna is pushed out of the family home and not allowed to see the children while Leo starts to insist the children call her 'Mummy Piper'. Joanna doesn't take it lying down and starts investigating into Piper's past. One thing that bothers me with the marketing of this book is the 'the twist you NEVER see coming' which has me looking out for one from the start. It is a gripping read and highly enjoyable.

If you like your books to be all about the twist you may like this. I certainly didn't see that twist coming and it makes sense of a whole load of 'wait, what?!' moments that rendered most of the story unbelievable. Very light, popcorn reading, forget realism, for this one you need to embrace the cray-cray!

Joanna and Leo seem to have the perfect relationship. Two adorable children, a beautiful house in a chic area of Connecticut – they have the kind of life people envy. Then Piper moves to town. Piper is young, attractive, flirtatious. It’s almost no wonder Leo is tempted away. Devastated, Joanna starts digging into Piper’s past, and discovers some very disturbing secrets – not least that Piper’s previous two husbands ended up dead. But Piper dismisses Joanna’s fears for her family as paranoia. Who is telling the truth? Joanna? Piper? The only certainty in this web of lies is that no one is who they appear to be and no one will escape unscathed.
I found myself completely addicted to this read, I say that a lot but I honestly was. I started this and 3 hours later found myself finishing it, what an intense and exciting read it was!
I was so looking forward to this next offering from Constantine, I adore their writing style and how they ensure their books are enthralling and quirky. I started with some apprehension, could it really live up to my high expectations but I need not have worried because yes it definitely did! What a twist they throw in!!!!
For a book such as this to work you need to be rooting for the characters and I was rooting for Joanne the whole way through. However I enjoyed getting to know Joanna and Piper and trying to guess who was telling the truth and who would be believed. It is very rare that I do not guess a plot twist but I did not see this coming at all and it was so incredibly exciting and completely turned the plot on its side. The twist will leave you speechless and trying to work out how you missed it.
'The Wife Stalker' is thrilling, intense and absolutely shocking. Getting to know the characters was a joy and discovering the many twists and turns was incredibly exciting. What an excellent read this is!
Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins UK for an advance copy.

A delusional Woman... all is not as it first appears! Great psychological drama, with a twist to conclude 🤔
Told from Piper and Joanna's perspective,
Piper Reynard wanted to get as far away from the West Coast as possible, moved to Westport Connecticut, under this new identity. Appears to be a sly individual, who seems intent on getting what she wants, but is all as it seems... A Master Manipulator... or an unfortunate case of being a victim of tragic personal events?
Then there's Joanna, Leo, Evie eight and Stelli six, who seem to be the perfect family picture. Leo's a lawyer, whose recovering from depression due to a work related case, this being how his and Pipers worlds collide... Joanna being shunned due to Pipers arrival, intent on proving Piper is not who she says she is... digging into her past to prove her suspicions, to get Piper out of the picture and return to family life.
The Wife Stalker is well written, you feel sympathy for some characters, then see it from the others view point and can see the unscrupulous behavior. A definite should read with a great twist to end.

After feeling like she was pushed out loud Leo's life when he marries piper, Joanna keeps a very close eyes on the family. Although very well written, the story was too far fetched for me. Events which seemed very unlikely were explained by the end but by then the book had lost me. An interesting twist which I did not see coming but the last revelation just seemed ridiculous. Unfortunately this one didn't do it for me, but I would read others by the author in the future.

Oh my goodness where to begin with this review??? This was my first book by the Constantine sisters so I went into it without any expectations. It was easy to read and easy to follow. I love books that switch characters each chapter and I love it when one of those characters is told in first person.
I could not put this book down and I hated being interrupted because I wanted more! I thought it was fairly predictable UNTIL IT WASN’T and I’m not sure if I’ll get my jaw up off the floor anytime soon. And just when I was reeling from the first shocker, I was shocked again! I absolutely love books that can surprise me and I was trying desperately to predict the unpredictable like I usually can in this genre but NOPE! Toward the end, I got so sad because I didn’t want this book to end!
Definite 5 stars from me!!!
I don’t want to give any spoilers so I’m extremely anxious for others to read The Wife Stalker so that I can discuss it with them!!!
Thank you SOOO much to HarperCollins Publishing and NetGalley for allowing me to read this book!!!

Piper wants to leave her past behind and is looking for a fresh start in Westport where she opens a rehab and wellness centre.
Soon she meets Leo, a successful lawyer who is just emerging from depression. Piper likes him. She likes him a lot. And she always gets what she wants. Now all she needs to do is get rid of Joanna, Leo's wife so that she can take her place and be a mother to Leo's two children.
But Joanna is not going to give up easily.
I had heard a lot of good things about this book, so I was excited when my ARC was approved. I'm happy to say that I wasn't disappointed.
The story, which alternates between Piper's and Joanna's perspectives, gripped me instantly.
It was a fast-paced read that had me on the edge of my seat throughout. My only reservation was that, at times, the story seemed too fast-paced, as in there were gaps between events that made me confused and because of that, I was considering lowering my rating.
However, at the end, when the spectacular twist was revealed, all the pieces slotted into place and everything made perfect sense, so I'm happy to stick to my initial rating of 4.
It was my first book from Liv Constantine, but it definitely won't be my last.
If you're looking for a gripping page-turner, then you should check this book out.

Another tense chilling read by this author a true page turner. So many twists and turns a book I read late late into the night.Highly recommend all this authors books.#netgalley#harpercollinsuk

Thank you to NetGalley for gifting me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. Usually I am quite good at working out plot twists but I didn’t see this one coming at all.
The Wife Stalker is a book about Joanna, Leo and Piper. the book is written from both Joanna and Pipers perspective, a chapter at a time.
I don’t want to say too much about the plot of the book as I wouldn’t want to spoil it for anyone so the synopsis from the back of the book will have to suffice;
Joanna and Leo seem to have the perfect relationship. Two adorable children, a beautiful house in a chic area of Connecticut – they have the kind of life people envy.
Then Piper moves to town. Piper is young, attractive, flirtatious. It’s almost no wonder Leo is tempted away…
Devastated, Joanna starts digging into Piper’s past, and discovers some very disturbing secrets – not least that Piper’s previous two husbands ended up dead. But Piper dismisses Joanna’s fears for her family as paranoia. Who is telling the truth?
I will agree with a couple of other reviews when they have said that this book is too long. There are certainly bits/chapters that don’t need to be in there. I had mixed feelings about Joanna, Leo and Piper throughout the book, both questioning their actions and/or getting frustrated with them but I guess that is what the author wanted the reader to feel to keep us guessing.
Overall I would recommend this book as a psychological thriller with a killer twist!

I just finished "The wife stalker" but I think I should start it again so confused I feel right now.
While not being the most original of premises, the story was entertaining enough, with short chapters told in dual POV, both Joanna and Piper. The whole time I was telling myself that it was not possible for those things to happen in real life, specially so quickly (I know this is fiction but, come on!). One of the things I struggled with was I had the feeling something bad was about to happen any moment but it never did until the big twist was revealed. Previously I had read some reviews so I knew a twist was coming and I created several crazy theories in my head but, did I see THAT twist coming? Not at all. Was is satisfying enough? Jury's still out. Although it cleared some of the inconsistencies I found throughout the story it still left me with many questions. Also it was a bit frustrating not all the people who deserved it got their comeuppance.
Quick and light read with a twist you won't see coming and that shows that we readers shouldn't take anything for granted unless specifically told so.
Thanks to Netgalley and Harper Collins UK for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

i was really enjoying this but the plot seemed to change completely in the blink of an eye which i found totally confusing .still not sure about this one .

Thanks to Netgalley for the preview of this book It was a good read but I found it could have been a lot shorter & there were a lot of "filler" chapters. The ending was good with a genuine twist . Had the book been shorter I'd have given a higher rating

After reading and enjoying The Last Mrs Parrish a couple of years ago I was thrilled to be accepted for this arc by the same authors. The chapters alternate between the perspective of Joanna and Piper and tell a twisted tale of manipulation, psychotic behaviour and a mothers anguish at being kept from her children. The twist comes late on in the book and was unexpected and brilliant! I really enjoyed this and read the whole book in under 24 hours!

If you read this book you need to push past the dull first half... dull is a bit mean actually, I guess I mean slow burn. Man this is a slow burn. But the twist actually had me go back and read again, think I’d made a mistake. I read the past 4 times before I realised I’d read it right and this was actually happening. I loved the twist, thought it was fantastic. But there were still a few things not cleared up and kind of ignored by the end that worried me. Some loose ends that while subtly hinted at, it was super subtle and actually I wanted it to be clearer.
This wasn’t my favourite Liv Constantine - that’s The Last Mrs Parrish without a doubt. But this is totally worth a read, and the twist will stick with you. The twist was well done, even if it is slow to get there.

This amazing thriller was even better than the author’s previous two novels. It was fascinating and kept me glued to the pages.

The writing is pure genius
and so well written
holds you captive from the first word
It's so fast paced and you become so absorbed
that when you get to the unpredictable finale
GOSH it will blow your mind
This is a must read for 2020
If you've not read the previous two books I suggest you do.
Thank you netgalley, Liv Constantine and HarperCollins UK for allowing me to read and review this book.

The Wife Stalker by Liv Constantine is a dark, twisted and delightfully slippery psychological thriller that will have your brain ticking over, trying to fit together the pieces of the jigsaw. Following the lives of two women, Piper and Joanna, readers are taken on a journey full of trickery and deceit, with secrets aplenty and suspicion hidden behind every turn of the page. Exciting, to say the least, with the ever-present sense of something more, something darker, on the cusp of being revealed, I was on the edge of my seat throughout my reading of The Wife Stalker and thoroughly enjoyed the twists and turns delivered by the author.
In The Wife Stalker by Liv Constantine, readers are introduced to Piper and Joanna. Throughout the novel, the chapters switch between the narrative of these two women, giving readers an insight into each of their separate lives. The differences between Piper and Joanna quickly become apparent, and it isn't long before we watch as their lives collide in the most devastating of ways. Introduced to Joanna's husband, Leo, through her work at the Phoenix Recovery Centre, Piper is instantly attracted to him, and the connection is stronger than anything she's ever felt before. As the invisible thread between Leo and Piper begins to tighten and pulls these two characters closer and closer, we're able to watch via Joanna's perspective and she sees Leo being drawn away by this other woman who seemingly has a hold over him like no other woman has had before. This addictive slipping and sliding between the two women, watching the action then consequences of said action ricocheting between their two lives, was fantastic, and I felt unable to look away, intrigued to see what would happen next. Liv Constantine ensures that there's enough of a pull of interest in the characters that the reader wants to find out more, and I certainly wanted to find out more...
Liv Constantine writes a distractingly curious novel in The Wife Stalker. With so much to consider, and the constant threat of Piper in Joanna's life, I really couldn't wait to see how far Constantine would force her characters to go. The in-depth look at relationships and parenthood paired well with the undertone of trouble and danger, and I felt the author really nailed the thriller aspect of this novel, with her razor-sharp style and punchy pacing. The characters, too, were crafted with great technique and detail, and I was completely fascinated by Piper and her mysterious past, which added an extra layer of distrust to the overall plot. The fall-out of Leo and Joanna was absolutely catastrophic and I couldn't tear my eyes away as I watched Joanna's life fall to pieces. Constantine captures the devastation felt by Joanna perfectly, and Piper instantly becomes the enemy as she makes herself a space in Leo and the children's lives, while at the same time ensuring there's no room for Joanna to return. I couldn't help but to feel broken-hearted on Joanna's behalf. After all, could there be anything more gut-wrenching than watch another woman take your place in your family? God, it was wretched, and I truly felt for Joanna as she tried to figure out what she could possibly to do help Leo see sense. Joanna takes it upon herself to delve a little deeper into Piper's past, and when certain things begin to come to the surface, my grip on my Kindle tightened and I sat back and waited for the truth to rock them all.
I really enjoyed the final conclusion to this novel, that of which I felt was being built-up to from the very beginning of the book. I have to say, Constantine certainly pulled the wool over my eyes and had me fooled. As soon as we switch from Piper to Joanna, I knew these characters would, at some point, come together and battle for the life they wanted so desperately with Leo and his children. The plot was mostly driven by the characters and their motives, encouraging the tension to escalate from the very first page, a tension so palpable I'm surprised my Kindle didn't spontaneously combust in my hands. The twist, which is mentioned on the cover of The wife Stalker, was certainly not anticipated by me, making it all the more bold and clever and I really have to applaud the author for pulling it off because I sat there and considered it for a while once I'd finished the book.
Overall, The Wife Stalker by Liv Constantine was a twisted and tense story of hidden pasts and unearthed secrets. It was brilliantly-paced, punchy and well-structured, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The in-depth dive into family and relationships was so well done, and I really look forward to seeing what's next from Liv Constantine. This book is receiving a four out of five rating from The Book Babe today. With thanks to Harper Collins for the advanced reading copy of this book, that of which has no reflection on me giving a fair and honest review.

For 90% of this book, I was really disappointed. I'd previously loved The Last Mrs Parish so had been hoping for good things but I couldn't help dying to finish so I could pick up another book. Pretty much every single one of the characters annoyed me and it felt like a story that had been done time and time again - dad falls for an incredibly beautiful woman and so ensues a whirlwind relationship with plenty of bumps along the road. Leo was an awful character who I eye-rolled at numerous times, for someone who was this incredible lawyer, he really wasn't very bright. My first thought was that the book moved very quickly which felt unrealistic but then this made a bit more sense by the end of the book. The twists come out in the last 10% of the book and admittedly, I hadn't expected them but it was a case of too little too late for me personally. I don't want to have to wait till the last 10% of a book until it gets good. The ending was incredibly rushed and it still left a lot unanswered but not in a teasing way, more a lazy one.
