I loved this pairs previous books and this new one did not disappoint. The story is unique and original which made we want to keep reading on. None of the characters are particularity engaging, however they are intriguing. I’d recommend this for anyone who likes the previous books or this genre.
You probably know someone like Shay Miller.
She wants to find love, but it eludes her.
She wants to be fulfilled, but her job is a dead end.
She wants to belong, but her life is so isolated.
You probably don’t know anyone like the Moore sisters.
They have an unbreakable circle of friends.
They live the most glamorous life.
They always get what they desire.
Shay thinks she wants their life.
But what they really want is hers.

Oh my word what a book. I am a huge fan of this duo of authors and was so excited to receive this arc. I absolutely, whole heartedly believe it is better to go into this book blind. In truth, I didn’t even read the blurb of this book before reading it and that was the best way. You truly will have no idea where this book is going to take you. It’s creepy and haunting, yet so believable and real. Human beings are truly the most frightening things. Absolutely outstanding. Highly recommended.
I really enjoy the previous two books I read from the authors so I was really excited to read this one! Shay is on the New York subway when she sees a woman leap to her death infront of the train. Shaken by the experience, she finds out more about this mysterious woman and starts to befriend her friends. They seem overly keen to spend time with Shay and she starts to wonder why they're so interested in her. This is another book that I raced through in a couple of days as I was completely drawn in by it. It's a very well written, fast paced and gripping thriller. There are some excellent twists in it and I would thoroughly recommend it to fans of the genre!
After having read Hendricks and Pekkanen’s first two novels, I was very pleased to have been approved for an ARC copy of this book in return for an honest review.
I read a wide range of genres, and I wouldn’t say that psychological thrillers are my favourite (ironic, as I am currently writing one!) but their works have got me into this genre. The plot twists and turns in this novel were excellent. I didn’t guess at the ending, and I was hooked all the way through. The characters were well written, I liked the protagonist and was rooting for her.
I enjoyed the book and would recommend it.
I have read previous books from the author and I have always enjoyed them.
This one is again no exception. The story is fun and interesting, though predictable. I was able to figure out the true motive very early on and that did put a damper on things for me.
I also struggled with how naive some of the characters seemed in the story, However, the story was really good to read and I would recommend this book.
Had high hopes for this book after reading the previous 2, I was not disappointed! Full of twists and turns, and a surprising ending that I had not guessed. Definitely worth reading.
Oh my what a wickedly evil and twisted tale this it full of intrigue, exciting and another sure fire winner from the fabulous duo that is Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen.
The books starts with Shay witnessing a women who jumps under a train and Shay whose life at that point seems to be pretty pointless is affected deeply by what she witnessed. Then she meets the sophisticated and intriguing Moore sisters, Jane and Cassandra and suddenly her life seems to take a turn she for the better all thanks to the help of these two sisters, but all is not quite as it seems and to say more would just spoilt the book, grab a copy quick and read it for yourselves it’s going to be a biggie !!
It’s such a well crafted story and one that you won’t want to put down, brilliant characters and writing and a read that I can highly recommend.
My thanks to NetGalley and Pan Macmillan for giving me the chance to read the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
I enjoyed this book but I don’t think it was as good as there previous one.
It started off with an intriguing premise; an introvert see’s someone commit suicide and interacts with her friends.
I don’t want to spoil what happens as this all happens in the first couple of chapters. However the on going mystery is a slow burn.
The ending to me was satisfactory.
Shay is your average woman. Maybe a little less lucky than your average woman actually. She’s currently living in the spare room of the man she’s crushing on... and his girlfriend. She’s in between jobs... holding out hope for the perfect one to fall in her lap as she temps away. She’s low on friends, ready to fall into the warm embraces of the next people that come along.
Then one day a shocking incident on the subway changes Shay and she becomes obsessed with the woman she saw on the platform. What was she running away from? What did she have to hide? What has it all got to do with Shay?
I am so worried about saying something that could spoil this book because it’s so worth the read. I didn’t find it as twisty and shocking as the authors’ other books but I did love it. I felt sucked into the world, panicking for Shay and willing her to do things to help herself out, all of which I know she’d have done with the benefit of hindsight!
I thoroughly recommend this books. It had me on the edge of my seat and made me uneasy and nervous throughout.
I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley. This in no way influenced my review of this book. It really was so awesome.

Another masterpiece from the authors of The Wife Between Us.
Shay Miller and Moore sisters are opposites of one another, one doesn't get what she want and they always get what they want. They want her life while she wants theirs.
Narration of the story is engaging and is able to hook the reader. I was sucked in the story from its first chapter.
Characters were likable especially of Moore sisters.
Thanks to NetGalley and Macmillan for giving me an advanced copy of this awesome psychological thriller.
