This is the second book in this series, short summary : he is accused of murder and is on the run. He kidnaps her and she is terrified of him. Next thing you know is she is in love with him and wanting to help prove he is innocent. I had hard time with this instant love.

After the rather disappointing Bishop’s Queen, the middle instalment of Katie Reus’ Endgame Trilogy, I confess I was on the fence as to whether I was going to finish the series. But in the end, I decided to read Bishop’s Endgame because I was still interested in finding out what happened to the third Bishop sibling Ellis, a former DEA agent who went on the run after he was accused of murdering his partner. The plot is suspenseful and the two leads are engaging and easy to root for, although the romance does move really quickly – which seems par for the course with a lot of romantic suspense these days – but at least the chemistry between them is evident, even if the ILYs feel rushed.

Bishop’s Endgame opens with Ellis witnessing the murder of his friend and colleague at the hands of Vitaly Rodin, a mid-level crime boss in Miami who has set his sights on making his way up to the higher echelons by taking out his boss and taking over his operation. When Ellis meets with his DEA boss, he shows him the video he took of the murder – only for his boss to take the phone and try to have him arrested. Ellis bolts and manages to get away and into hiding; intent on clearing his name, he falls off the grid while he works out what his next step should be… and who, if anyone, he can trust.

Arianna Stavish, a third-grade teacher, is Vitaly’s stepdaughter, although she has had very little to do with him since the deaths of her mother and stepbrother Max, who died of a drug overdose some years earlier. Traumatic events in her past drove her to drink, but now, aged twenty-five, she’s been sober for three years and is committed to staying that way. She’s in her car, about to drive home from an AA meeting one evening when a gun is pressed to her neck and a deep voice orders her to drive – but she’d rather be shot than endure another assault and tries to run. Her attacker subdues her with chloroform and the next thing she knows she’s waking up in her own bedroom.

Ellis’ investigations into Vitaly have led him to the conclusion that Arianna may be the key to getting the information he wants in order to bring the man down. He’s discovered a number of offshore bank accounts in Arianna’s name with millions of dollars in them and wants to use her – and the money – to get Vitaly’s attention. He’s also discovered Vitaly’s plans to release several new – lethal – designer drugs across Miami, and is determined not to let that happen.

Not surprisingly, Arianna is furious and scared at the situation she’s in; add bewildered to that when the guy who’s kidnapped her starts talking about the Cayman Islands and her accounts worth millions. But while he might be crazy, she finds herself starting to believe his assertions that he doesn’t want to hurt her –although she draws the line at getting on a plane to the Caymans to withdraw money and close accounts she doesn’t have. Yet when the man shows her that the accounts do exist and that they are in her name, it’s hard to refute the evidence of her own eyes.

We know who the bad guys are from the start, so the story is really about Ellis’ quest to find enough evidence to bring them to justice. He had believed Arianna was involved in Vitaly’s criminal activities, or at the very least, knew about them and had agreed to his using her name on the bank accounts, but he’s forced to revise his opinions and discard his preconceptions when he does a little more digging and realises something about the set-up is off. He and Arianna don’t get off to the best of starts, obviously, but I liked her determination not to be cowed by him or the situation in spite of her fears. Fortunately, it’s not long before she starts to realise that Ellis isn’t the violent criminal she’d assumed him to be and that there really is something to the story he’s told her about her step-father – and she agrees to help Ellis to get to the truth.

The plot moves at a fast pace as Ellis and Arianna – with the help of Evie, Evan and master hacker Lizzie, who originally appeared in the Red Stone Security series – work together to clear Ellis’ name. At the same time Ellis and Arianna are fighting the steadily growing attraction between them, knowing they’re facing an uncertain future. There’s a bit of insta-love going on, but the author allows the plot to take priority while keeping the attraction building and bubbling, so that by the time they do give in to it, the physical intimacy feels right and not as though it has been shoe-horned in for the sake of it.

Bishop’s Endgame is probably my favourite book of the trilogy, and it’s possible to read it without reference to the other two books, as the storyline is completely separate and self-contained. It’s a quick, fast-paced read with a high-stakes plot and engaging characters and I enjoyed it, in spite of my reservations.

Grade: B- / 3.5 stars

Being associated to a criminal doesn’t do Arianna Stavish, any good, even though she doesn’t like her step daddy. She is still kidnapped and scared beyond reason by Ellis Bishop, a man bent on avenging his best friends death. He foes after the guys stepdaughter, thinking she is the weeks link, his mistake. Is it too late for him to change his mind and show Arianna that he loves her. That both of them together can take down her stepfather. Or when it’s decision time, will it be too late for this couple? Will the damage be done by not trusting each other? Will it be to late to save their love?

The Story in 4 Sentences or Less: Ellis Bishop was framed for a murder he didn’t commit and he has been on the run since and looking for a way to bring the real murderers to justice so he kidnaps a crime boss’s daughter. At first Ariana doesn’t know why she was kidnapped but when she finds out she’s determined to help Ellis clear his name even if it means betraying the only family she’s ever known. Ariana can’t go to the police because of her connection to Ellis so she heads straight into the lair of the monster in the hopes that she’ll find the evidence to prove that Ellis is innocent.

Like It? Hate it? Love it? Why? Well I was really looking forward to Ellis’ story from the beginning of this trilogy because the poor guy was framed for his friend’s murder and had to go into hiding. He’s been on the run and is desperate to not only clear his name but bring down the real murderer and those that helped him. So what did I think of the last book in the Endgame Trilogy?

Well Bishop’s Endgame stands on its own just fine but when you compare it to the previous books in the series it doesn’t quite measure up and here’s why:

For the circumstances that Ellis found himself in, he sure spent a lot of time thinking about how a relationship with Ariana was impossible. He was more a forlorn lover than a man determined to get justice for his murdered friend. That’s not to say I didn’t like Ellis, he’s a good guy but his character was more suited for a contemporary romance and not a romantic suspense. A lot of his identity was wrapped up in his growing feelings for Ariana and it felt like his attention wasn’t fully on clearing his name. And he had a martyr complex that seemed out of place to me.

Ariana had a similar hang-up as well. She was more into her own internal dialogue about how she didn’t think she was going to have a chance with Ellis outside of their situation than the fact that she was caught up in a criminal’s net with a total stranger who was wanted for murder. And maybe it’s just me but I found Ariana to be kind of bland and uninteresting compared to the previous two heroines, one of which is Ellis’ sister Evie. I just felt like Ariana was more of a damsel in distress than I’m used to with this author.

And the third thing about Bishop’s Endgame that didn’t work for me was the insta-love happening with Ellis and Ariana. One moment Ariana was terrified of Ellis and the next the two are halfway in love and they hadn’t even had time to build a believable romance outside of a physical attraction. I had a hard time believing that their relationship was a forever kind.

That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy Bishop’s Endgame, I did. It had action and mystery and of course the Bishop siblings were reunited and Evie came out in a few scenes and I just love her to pieces. I enjoyed the way the plot wrapped up with the truth of the murder coming out and Ellis getting his life back.

Click It or Skip It? Click it. I did expect more from this book and the heroine but it’s was still a good read. I’m looking forward to the next romantic suspense book from this author.

Bishop's Endgameby Katie Reus is book Three in the Endgame Trilogy. This is this is the story of Ellis Bishop and Arianna Stavish. I have read the previous books which do have the underlining story of Ellis but this book can be a standalone book I thought. Ellis was a DEA agent who now is on the run after his partner was murdered and he was set up to take the fall. So Ellis has been working to clear his name but hasn't been able to do so. Ellis feels that now the key is to kidnap the crime boss's Step-daughter Arianna. Arianna sadly has had a tragic past that she is moving forward to get past and is now a third grade teacher who has no real clue about her step-father. So at first she is very upset about being taken but then she learns what is really going on and she wants to help Ellis. This was a very hot exciting read. Loved this authors writing!

Bishop's Endgame is the stunning conclusion to The Bishop series written by Katie Reus. There are quite a few series I have read that I am sad to say goodbye too. This series would be among that list.
The journey that Katie Reus has taken as on was wild. With suspense, intrigue, and romance. Electric and fast-paced from the start, and entangled with emotion, and depth; Out of the trilogy, Bishop's Endgame was at the top.

4.25 stars—BISHOP’S ENDGAME is the third and final instalment in Katie Reus’ contemporary, adult ENDGAME erotic, romantic suspense trilogy focusing on the Bishop siblings. This is former DEA agent Ellis Bishop, and grade school teacher Arianna Stavish’ story line. BISHOP’S ENDGAME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Ellis and Arianna) BISHOP’S ENDGAME follows the struggle to uncover the truth. Several months earlier DEA Agent Ellis Bishop witnessed the murder of his partner Carter, but reporting the crime found Ellis on the run for the murder he did not commit. Accused in his partner’s murder, Ellis is forced to go into hiding in an effort to stay one step ahead of those pushing to take him down. Fast forward to present day wherein Ellis will kidnap Arianna Stavish, the step- daughter of the man who killed his partner, believing Arianna is as dirty as the man in question. What ensues is the building relationship between Arianna and Ellis, as our couple search for the evidence to prove Ellis is innocent of his partner’s death.

Ellis Bishop can no longer trust the people in charge having witnessed first hand the who and how of his partner’s murder. With several members of his department on the take, Ellis turns his attention to Arianna Stavish, with woman with whom Ellis will fall in love. Arianna Stavish is completely unaware of her step-father’s illegal activities, activities that point directly at our story line heroine. Caught between her step-father and her would-be captor, Arianna agrees to help take down everyone involved.

The relationship between Arianna and Ellis begins acrimoniously as Ellis kidnaps our heroine to get to the truth. Believing Arianna is as dirty as her step-father, Ellis is hoping to gather the information needed to take down everyone involved including Arianna Stavish. In hiding, and on the run, Ellis and Arianna will bond and their relationship will grow, as our couple uncover the truth. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters include Ellis’ siblings Evan and Evie; Arianna’s step-father Vitaly; Ellis’ mentor and boss Kyle Bird, as well as several law enforcement. The requisite evil has many faces.

BISHOP’S ENDGAME is a story of family and betrayal; of vengeance, murder and innocence; of acceptance, love and moving forward. The premise is engaging and captivating; the romance is seductive and intense; the characters are energetic, colorful and strong. BISHOP’S ENDGAME is an exciting and thrilling conclusion to Katie Reus’ Endgame trilogy.

Bishop’s Endgame is the final part in the Endgame Trilogy by Katie Reus and it was a great finale to the romantic/suspense series about the Bishop siblings. After months on the run, hunted by his former colleagues for the murder of his partner & best friend Charlie, Ellis Bishop has decided to turn the tables on his enemy, taking the law into his own hands by kidnapping his stepdaughter in a desperate attempt to get his life back. On the surface Arianna is exactly what she appears to be - a devoted elementary school teacher who lives a quiet life but can she really be unaware of the monster her stepfather really is? Ellis doesn’t think so especially when he sees just what’s in her bank accounts but then he faces a moral dilemma when he starts to believe she’s a victim of his enemy’s machinations. Can he continue to use her knowing it could endanger an innocent woman?

The characters are well developed in this book with a plot full of intrigue and suspense that moves at a steady pace albeit the romance element of the story takes a little longer to heat up but then it would stretch creditability a bit too far if the heroine was to jump into bed with her kidnapper at the first smouldering glance and find insta-love especially given her history so it was good to see their relationship develop slowly. I also loved the cameo appearance by characters not only from this trilogy but also the Red Stone Security series as well. This has definitely got to be my favourite series from Katie Reus but I would recommend reading it in order of release to enjoy it fully.

Katie Reus again brings to her readers a wonderful story of romance, suspense, and intrigue, with this fast paced story of DEA agent Ellis Bishop. On the run and falsely accused of killing his DEA partner, he kidnaps Arianna, the mob boss's stepdaughter believing she is a part of the corruption. While working to find out what really happened to his partner, Ellis finds it is not easy to prove your own innocence when the tangles are so intricate that they must be untangled with care. Readers are given a wonderful surprise when a few Red Stone Security members make their appearance in helping Ellis to exonerate himself from the bogus charges. The story is fast paced with lots of roadblocks and many twists along the way. Can be read as a standalone, "Bishop's Endgame" is a story not to be missed. The three book series is a must have for romantic suspense readers and all are standalone reads.
**I was gifted a copy of "Bishop's Endgame" via NetGalley & leave my review voluntarily based on my reading** 5 Stars!

Everything in this series has been building up to this book. Boy is it explosive. Bishop's Endgame is a romance that is truly thrilling. Sometimes the wrong thing done for the right reason will work out for the best. It is touch and go as to whether the good will win out making it a nail biting read.

Ellis has only snippets in the other books in the series. Just enough not to give anything away but to make you hungry for more about him. No chance of his name being cleared without taking drastic measures. Unknowingly Arianna is at the center of these measures. A close proximity kind of romance with two strong characters who are misread by others while they have also been guilty of misjudging others.

A hot romance with dangerous action packed scenes. Characters who are flawed but understandable in a world of crime that is very real but foreign to us. Then the monsters who rule that world, that we can’t wait to see destroyed. This is one for the books, a sure fire hit for romantic suspense readers.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Bishop's Endgame is my favorite book in the trilogy! The storyline was great and I loved Ellis & Arianna as a couple. Their story was the perfect ending to the Endgame Trilogy.

A fabulous end to the siblings trilogy.
Energetic and fast paced from the start and embroiled with emotion and strength it was a fitting end to a fantastic set of books. I wish we could spend more time with these characters as I’ve grown to love this sibling trio.
A fantastic read.

The third book in this trilogy by Katie Reus was probably my favorite. My real issue about this trilogy was that it took a year for each book. I know they were all standalones but when books are in the “same world” and they are so far apart, it takes me about one third of the book to realize who and what they are about! Ok, I will get off my high horse about that. Ellis and Arianna were a great couple. The story they are involved in kept moving along so I never felt that it dragged. What a fun read, and I am sorry there are no more siblings! I enjoyed the glimpses of Lizzy and Red Stone Security! All in all I loved this book and this trilogy.

At this point, I feel like I just keep saying the same thing over and over about Katie Reus’s books. She’s on my short list of automatic 1-click authors, at least when it comes to her romantic suspense books. (Don’t get me wrong; I have enjoyed her PNR but that’s not my favorite subgenre to read.) And I’ve yet to be disappointed in a book or a romantic suspense series of hers. Bishop’s Endgame did not break that streak, either. Book 3 in her Endgame trilogy, it’s the conclusion to the Bishop siblings’ dramatic stories.

Bishop’s Endgame is Ellis and Arianna’s story. Undercover DEA agent Ellis Bishop is being framed for his partner’s murder. On the run and out of options, he kidnaps Arianna thinking he can use her to drag the truth from her stepfather who just happens to be a notorious drug dealer. Only she has no idea who her stepfather really is and no idea what he’s been up to. With time running out for both of them, can they find the answers they need to save them both?

NICUnurse’s Rating: Katie Reus is, again, one of my favorite romantic suspense authors. So it’s probably not going to come as a surprise when I tell you I loved this book and loved this series. While her Red Stone Security series is STILL my favorite, the Endgame series was definitely worth my time and money. There’s something about an enemies-to-lovers story, especially one where they are enemies only based on misconceptions, that I just love. And Bishop’s Endgame was just that. Neither character is inherently bad. In fact, they are both upstanding people. But he thinks she’s involved in something dirty and she thinks he’s a true bad guy because he kidnaps her. Eventually, they learn the truth and are able to find their HEA, but the road to that destination is what makes this book a really good read.

I give Bishop’s Endgame, and the entire Endgame trilogy, 4.5 out of 5 stars!

Oh. My. Freaking. God. I still have no words and I finished this book a while ago.
It was the bestest possible conclusion that could have been and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
It could have been a bit longer, though, because I really did not want to leave the characters.

Ellis spent years working undercover for the DEA but when his partner and best friend is killed by a mob boss Ellis finds himself set up for the murder and has to go into hiding. He's been trying to clear his name for months but knowing at least one dirty DEA agent helped set him up he has very few people he can turn to for help. All of his leads bring him to Ariana, the step-daughter of the mob boss who murdered his friend and with bank accounts in her name full of drug money she's in this mess up to her eyeballs and Ellis is more than happy to use her to make her father pay.

What Ellis doesn't realise is that Arianna is just as much a victim as he is, her stepfather has been setting her up too and she has absolutely no knowledge of any of his dodgy business dealings. Now their only choice is to work together to find out exactly what her stepfather has planned and find a way to prove both of their innocence.

I've enjoyed every minute of the Endgame trilogy, the first two books were great but I think Bishop's Endgame was my favourite of them all. We've known about Ellis since the first book, he's only made a very brief appearance up to this point but his brother and sister have both been trying to figure out how to help him clear his name so I already felt like I knew him. I'm going to admit things didn't start out great between him and Arianna, it's not often I find myself rooting for a kidnapper hero that's for sure. But Ellis had good reason to believe that Arianna was just as dirty as her stepfather so it was hard to blame him for his actions. Especially when he was so quick to apologise and try to make amends when he realised what a huge mistake he'd made.

Ellis was actually a really great guy, he'd been pushed to terrible lengths trying to get his life back but he was devastated by the loss of his best friend and the betrayal of another agent that he should have been able to trust. Yes he makes mistakes in the beginning but even when he believes Arianna is part of the mob he never physically hurts her or crosses any unforgivable lines. Arianna has absolutely no idea that her stepfather is a criminal so she's horrified when she realises the kind of man he is. She could have chosen to just go back to her safe and normal life but her family is responsible for the position Ellis is in and she wants to do what she can to help him get his life back.

I thought the two of them worked really well together and I liked that they didn't immediately jump into bed together. Things to happen over a fairly short timeline but they still got to know each other before falling into a relationship. It was great to see characters from the previous books pop up too and I thought this was a fitting end to the trilogy.
