One of my favourite authors.
Story telling at its best and pure escapism.
Makes my day when this author publishes a new book.
I very much enjoyed this book. It has a good story and excellent main characters. I would definately recommend this book.
The final book in this trilogy and it was as good as all the others . I was hooked on the story from the very start and loved everything about this book. Simply brilliant.
This book is the last part of a trilogy, which I didn’t know until I finished it, but you don’t really need yo have read the other 2. All I can say is wow!!! I absolutely loved it, as I do all of Rosies books. I read in 2 days .
I would like to thank NetGalley and the publishers for asking me to read and review.
This story was a wonderful read.
It is well written with some characters that are well rounded and as a reader you feel you are right there with them and feel the emotions that they are going through. The plot draws you in, keeping you wanting more and turning those pages.
A brilliant, addictive read.
I defy you not to have a tissue at the ready when you read this book. I’ve read the whole series of Days of the Week, this being the last one. Well wasn’t it worth waiting for !
Familiar characters popping up, Reading how the story unfold, twist and turns revealing life at Treetops for Sunday.
Loved it, got near the end and while longing to get there at the same time delaying it because it’s the last.
Look forward to Rosie’s next series.
Another brilliant saga spanning years. This author is fast becoming my favourite saga author. Makes you happy makes you sad every emotion going.
This is the last book in Rosie Goodwin’s days of the week series, and what a series it’s been. The series started with Mothering Sunday, where we are first introduced to Sunday a young girl who has had a hard start to her life. In Time to say goodbye we reach full circle of Sunday’s extraordinary life. This book is a definite tear jerker but it’s a perfect end to a fabulous series. I loved following the lives of Sunday and her family and friends. A worthy 5 star read.
Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity of reviewing this book.
Time to say goodbye is part of a series (which I didn't realise), but I read it as a stand alone book as I haven't read the others in the series.
This is a great story about Sunday and her family starts in the early 30's and finishes after World War 2. Sunday in her family live in a Manor house called Treetops, they also have a stud farm on the ground which is a profitable company run by Sunday's husband Tom.
Sunday is devastated when Tom has an accident and dies, she is heart broken and doesn't know how to exist without her soul mate. But lots of changes are ahead and very troubled times ensue.
Well written, with a lovely mixture of characters and a fascinating storyline to go with it. Highly recommended!!
I have really loved reading this series Rosie Goodwin always writes a story that draws you into the lives of the characters. This book is full of heartache and at times tissues are needed and i was happy that the series ended with Sunday and her family a BRILLIANT book/series 5*
I have loved reading this series and it was fitting that it ended as it began with Sunday and her family.
From the beginning I was gripped with the trials and tribulations of the family as war once again looms. There is plenty of heartache along the way and at times I was close to tears as events unfolded, particularly towards the end.
Rosie Goodwin is one of the queens of the saga and dn I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for giving me a copy of the book in return for an honest review.
I enjoy the way that Rosie Goodwin writes her books and have happily read many of them.
In this story Sunday has an extended family, she loves them all but it isn’t always reciprocated. Things start to go wrong when her husband dies in an accident but Sunday has a special friend who helps her through the dark times. As Sunday’s family grow up they are typical teenagers who don’t always make the right decisions. As the war takes over their lives nothing will ever be the same but will their men survive the war?
i love all rosies books they keep you enthralled from beginning to end in fact im just rereading the days of the week sagas again, you get drawn into the story and it feels like you are there in the midst of it all, be aware a box of tissues be handy with this one, cant wait for more of rosies books, keep up the great work
Thank you Net Galley for granting this book by one of my favourite authors. This book is the last of the week collection books by Rosie Goodwin - I have read them all apart from one and although you could read this as a stand-alone book quite easily. II felt it much more enjoyable as the previous characters were entwined in this one along with new characters too.
From page one I was easily gripped and followed Sunday’s trials and tribulations of life at Treetops , lots of unexpected twists and turns and very absorbing. It finishes the stories off nicely and you are not left wondering what would happen next - although I must admit it did make me cry at times. That is not to say it is sad it’s just an emotional read at times.
Immensely enjoyed and would highly recommend.
