"His and Hers" is a gripping psychological thriller. The dual perspectives add a unique twist, keeping you guessing until the end. Feeney crafts a suspenseful atmosphere with well-defined characters. If you enjoy intense mysteries, this one's a page-turner.

I’m on a run of listening to Alice Feeney’s books recently and each one has been excellent. So when I started listening to His & Hers I had high expectations. Well this book certainly lived up to them. This book gripped me so tightly that I honestly couldn’t stop listening to it. A read full of suspense and characters you don’t know who to trust. I was suspicious of everyone, even those you should be able to trust. My theories on everything were proved wrong time and time again and when the final reveal came I was gob smacked. A well deserved 5⭐️ read.

Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.

This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). Thank you for the opportunity and apologies for the inconvenience

If there are two sides to every story, someone is always lying…

This was gripping! My first read by this author as well so I didn’t know what to expect. I couldn’t put it down, I needed to know who the killer was. At one point I was so confused as there was so much going on, and things were be revealed, which left me actually unsure on who did what.

Safe to say, you couldn’t really trust any of the characters. I loved the idea that everyone had something to hide, whether than be something big or something small.

I enjoyed the flick between his and hers, with the story sometimes overlapping so you got the same event from both perspectives.

It’s very dark in places, a darkness that I didn’t expect, however it didn’t feel out of place, it connected well with the story.

Overall a brilliant read, dark, twisty and I didn’t see the ending. What more can you ask for from a thriller!

Due to the formatting at-some points found myself getting lost

I’m definitely torn with my thoughts on this book. It was good and had plenty of tension, and the twist was very unexpected (therefore brilliant) but I found some bits quite tedious. The flashbacks to teenage years were a bit annoying at times, and I found the female detective to be incredibly tiresome (not sure why, but she annoyed me). I think I’m going to give this a middle of the road rating.

A gripping twisty thriller - I love a story where you cannot guess the ending and this delivers just that with gusto!

A great thriller with an ending I didn't see coming.

It's lost a 🌟 because I thought the actions of him didn't really ring true being a police officer.

There were times when this was confusing to read due to the layout and how it switched from various characters perspectives, but overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this thriller where everyone suspects everyone else but nobody suspects the true villain.

It's one of those books where the ending was a genuine surprise, which made for a pleasant change.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC without obligation.

This book is such a page turner. I read it in two sittings.
I really enjoyed this book but I was slightly disappointed by the ending.
A good book

I have had this book on my shelf for quite some time and I don’t know why I put off reading it. It was fast paced and I enjoyed reading it from the three points of view. Although it did take me a while to realise there was a third POV. I can’t say I warmed to any of the characters but I was so keen to know what was happening. I did think numerous times I’d guessed the ending but I hadn’t. There were lots of red herrings thrown in. It’s my first book by this author and it won’t be my last.

I've read a few of Alice's books and this one didn't disappoint. It was fast paced and I wasn't sure which characters could be trusted. There were so many twists that I enjoyed. Highly recommend

A great psychological thriller with twists and turns.

Anna Andrews is a tv newscaster for the BBC. To her dismay she has been sent to cover a murder in the village of Blackdown where she grew up. On arrival Anna realises that she knows the murdered woman.

Anna’s ex-husband, DCI Jack Harper, has returned, from London, to live in Blackdown and is also working on this murder case. He soon realises that someone is setting him up as the killer. Secrets, lies and history bring Anna and Jack together to solve this murder.

His And Hers is Alice Feeney’s best so far I think.
Anna Andrews is trying to keep her news reading job at the BBC in London. In order to do so she must go to Blackdown in Surrey to report a murder, the thing is this is where she was brought up mainly by her mother as her father disappeared when she was young. Then have Detective Chief Inspector Jack Harper head of major crime in Blackdown who just happens to know Anna from the past making this an awkward setting for the first meeting after a while. It turns out it’s not just one murder that happens here but more and there is a connection and also to Anna and Jack which doesn’t look good when trying to maintain there innocence.
My, my was this one twisty read, I bounced from character to character then halfway through I got it, all the evidenced pointed to this one person to find out at the end, yes the end! that I’d got totally the wrong person!!!!
I would like to thank Netgalley and HQ for this ARC I received in exchange for an honest review.

The book is made up of 3 POV.

1st Anna the news reporter from the BBC who has recently lost the job she loved, celebrated her birthday & is what I would describe as a functioning alcoholic.

2nd Jack a police detective, who has relocated from London to a small village. He has his issues & is currently living with someone he isn't in a relationship with who has a toddler.

3rd The Killer

I read the book over a span of 3 nights. It did confuse me at times, & I think this was due to the layout of the chapters/POV.
But, it is worth sticking with. Its intriguing & makes you want to read more & I didn't guess the outcome at all.

What an outstanding novel! This book had me thinking I'd worked everything out then continually threw a curve ball. The plot twist was totally unexpected and I loved it. If you enjoy murder mysteries, you need to read this book.
