Overall this was a well developed story with interesting characters and well written, not an edge of seat thriller for me but a good read throughout.

Not sure I will read more from this author but I have no hesitation in recommending this book.

Thank you to Netgalley and Harper Impulse K.R's for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

His and hers is a fast-paced, super twisty and suspenseful thriller, told from two perspectives (his and hers obviously). It is full of secrets and constant reveals, and if there's such thing as too many twists, then this is certainly the case. There's not many characters and over the course of the book every one of them comes under suspicion and can possibly be the killer. I enjoyed reading this book but thinking back, the story is rather ridiculous and far-fetched, aimed at shocking the reader with yet another twist.

His and Hers
Author: Alice Feeney

A gripping, at times shocking, read. Took me a few chapters to get the storyline straight but then it became addictive. Plenty of twists and a shock ending. A solid 4 1/2 ⭐️ read. Highly recommended.

I’d like to thank the author, publisher and netgalley for providing me with this advance digital copy in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

This was a really fun engaging domestic thriller but it was also pretty dark too

This domestic thriller, follows a Woman, Anna and her ex husband, Jack. When a body is found in the local woods, Jack is suspicious of Anna's involvement but it isn't long until he becomes a suspect too

I really liked the writing style of this book, it was really easy to read. I thought the book was very gripping.

It started off quite slow but as new storylines are added, it became quite a complex but engaging thriller.

I would add this thriller is incredibly dark. There is quite a lot of triggering subject matter, more than I thought there would be.

Overall, I really enjoyed this thriller more than I thought I would. Highly recommend

TW: rape, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, murder, suicide, violence and animal abuse

This is a real page turner with lots of twists and turns. The novel alternates two points of view and it is hard to guess which of the two is telling the truth. A well written suspenseful thriller. My thanks to NetGalley the author and the publisher for allowing me to read an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

Good twisty story told from different points of view. BBC reporter and Detective Inspector who were previously married link up when a spate of murders take place that are a little bit too close to home.

Just finished reading this, and in reality I struggled a little bit. It’s a really good story but does jump a little bit and can be slightly confusing.
The end was a great twist but felt a bit rushed.
I did read a netgalley edition and it wasn’t great to read on the Kindle.

If you are a fan of thrillers like me you will thoroughly enjoy this book! Although some bits were like gone girl, I would have never guessed the ending! First one read by this author, looking forward to reading more!

His and Hers is the excellent third novel by Alice Feeney and it just might be her best yet! If you haven't yet read a book by this author, you are doing yourself a disservice. Feeney's thrillers mess with her readers heads and always bring an unpredictable plot to the party.

Detective Chief Inspector Jack Harper is investigating a murder in Blackdown Village when he recognizes the victim. He has to keep this to himself or he'll become a suspect in his own case.

Anna Andrews is a newsreader on BBC brought in to report on the case that occurred in her childhood hometown of Blackdown. The victim is someone she knows. And soon enough, there will be another.

Jack and Anna used to be married. Who is telling the truth?

This is one twisty thriller. Readers will be unable to put this one down until they have it all figured out. Very strong writing. Highly recommended to readers who enjoy a solid thriller. This is one not to be missed!

This is Alice Feeney’s third novel and her best yet. It’s a real roller coaster of twists and turns that keep you gripped from page one. The story alternates between the points of view of Anna Andrews and DCI Jack Harper. Anna Andrews has been a newsreader at the BBC but is sent back to being a reporter when the woman who she covering for returns from maternity leave suddenly after two years and two babies. Anna is immediately offered an assignment to cover a murder in Blackdown, a quintessential English village in Surrey, where she spent her childhood and her mother still lives. After Anna’s father left them things were tough for Anna and her mother and Anna had to leave her private school and go to the local state school which wasn’t a happy time for Anna. Anna moved to London as soon as she could and has hardly been back since as there are too many painful memories in Blackdown.

We soon find that the DCI leading the case is her ex-husband, Jack. They split up a couple of years earlier following the death of their young daughter and the strains this tragedy brought to the marriage.

As the story alternates between the two viewpoints it is hard to guess if either or both are telling the truth. I was somewhat confused as to how this could be for much of the book but slowly caught on towards the end. I liked the end and can recommended this book as well as the previous two that Alice Feeney has written. I look forward to more by her.

With thanks to NetGalley and HQ for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Twisty turny thriller that had me shocked on several occasions.

Well written and a good concept with the two sides.

Read if you like a good suspenseful thriller.

This was an exciting thriller, in the vein of Gone Girl. It was quite unpredictable, although there were very few likeable characters. Overall it was a good story.

This is the third novel I have read by this author and I have loved everyone of them.

When a women is murdered in Blackdown village, newsreader Anna Andrews is reluctant to cover the case as it’s where she grew up and she has lots of bad memories there. Her ex-husband DCI Jack Harper left London and now works in picturesque Blackdown. He is suspicious of her involvement until he becomes a suspect in his own investigaton.

This is a fast paced read, told in viewpoints of Jack and Anna. One of them is lying but who? Superbly written with lots of twists and turns along the way, which will have you changing your mind every chapter! You won’t want to stop reading until you turn the final page.

Many thanks to Netgalley and the Publisher HQ for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Written from more than one perspective, this tells the story of a succession of murders in the sleepy Surrey town of Blackdown where ex wife and husband Anna (newsreader) and Jack (detective) grew up.

The intertwining lives and experiences of five girls who went to school together make for plenty of twists and turns as the body count rises. Some of the flashbacks are particularly powerful. A couple of the connections really do stretch the boundaries of credibility but it’s a compelling read; the first book by Alice Feeney I have read.

Thanks to NetGalley for a proof copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Anna is a TV presenter gets demoted to a news correspondent. Without even having the chance to cope with her demotion, she is sent to cover the news of a murder in her hometown and that’s when she finds out she knows the victim. When another murder occurs and she also knows the victim she starts to believe things aren’t adding up.

Jack is the lead investigator on the case but he is hiding some information. He n aka the victim and actually had seen her just before the murder.

With two sides of a story, which one will you believe?

I found this books really interesting, gripping and well narrated. It’s the first book I’m reading by Alice Feeney but certainly won’t be the last.

The narrations are on point and it’s so interesting to see the two sides and also the narration from the killer!

I was constantly wanting to read more and more and every time I thought I knew something, I was wrong!

With amazing twists and turns, I was really impressed by this book. It is full of suspense, fast paced and every chapter will make you just want to keep reading.

I will highly recommend it and can’t wait to read other books from this author.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Netgalley and HQ for the opportunity to read this book prior to its publishing date.

There were things I liked and some things I disliked about this book.
I liked the way it was written, moving between the two main characters. I also liked the way their connection was slowly revealed. Their feelings and thoughts were well described and the author cleverly led you down a path of your own assumptions before revealing the truth.
However I found it quite confusing at times possibly because of the differing time periods covered yet overlapping.
I also disliked the overuse of the hints of things to come. I’m not a fan of the “but one wouldn’t return” style of writing although it can have its place. Here I felt there were too many vague references to unpleasant things in the past which would have been acceptable if fairly quickly revealed or if they were all about the same incident. By halfway through the book there were a least three black clouds looming overhead.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

Anna is a news presenter, filling in for a colleague on maternity leave. When that person returns she resumes her old job of reporting from around the country. She is sent to her old town where there has been a murder. Her ex husband Jack is investigating. There are lots of twists and turns as more murders occur. I didn't guess the ending which makes a great change. Fast paced and would love to read more from this author.

Such a big twist at the end that I would never have guessed, so big it was a little far fetched. Otherwise a good read. The build up to the story of what had lied the characters to this point was unexpected. I didn't live it but would read others by the author

An intriguing tale told by two narrators with past history. I enjoyed finding out about their past and the horrific event which was the cause of the murders which took place. I’ve read Alice Feeney’s other books and this one did not disappoint.
