ALL. THE. STARS ⭐️ Returning to Port Snow is a dream come true. This quaint town fuels my obsession with small town romances! Stories of the Knightley brothers and the infamous love curse are 1000% addicting!! Reid and Eve’s love story is sheer perfection ♥️ Get ready for the feels, Meghan Quinn serves them up a plenty with this tasty treat!

Reid and Eve have chemistry in spades. They lit up every page. Between their sassy humor, punny dirty jokes and undeniable passion for each other, they’re one of my favorite couples from Meghan. Reid was always a question mark in the previous books, he’s much more complicated that I would have expected. That just gives me so much more to LOVE! Eve really packs a punch as the girl who captured his heart years ago as his best friend’s sister. Once that attraction really started simmering, there was no stopping these two.

In all their ups and downs, Reid and Eve are a match made in heaven. They make each other better, and their love burns so bright! I love how Meghan spoils a reader with her characters and their flaws, and ultimately their growth into the best freaking characters that completely steal your heart!!! I’m so excited for Brig’s story next, and another visit to Port Snow (I would honestly love there myself!!).

DNF at 5%. This is pretty early to stop - but I’m not into the main character and have no interest in spending more time with him. I understand Reid had a crappy situation happen 3 years ago and lost his dream business. But I have no interest in spending time with him now as he’s still moping and being a victim - and getting annoyed at his dad every day for trying to help him move on and his best friend for doing the same.

And then the first time we see him interact with Eve he points out “how great your tits look in that maroon collared shirt.” Ew. Hard pass. No thank you.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the free copy to read and review.

Port Snow and the Knightly Brothers have quickly become beloved characters of mine! Meghan Quinn delivers yet another fantastic story with sexy Reid Knightly and his best friend’s sister, Eve.

Reid and Eve, along with the rest of the Knightly clan, deliver one incredible laugh out loud story with a punch to the gut when a misunderstanding threatens to tear this couple apart. Their chemistry is INSANE and just jumps right off the pages! I think Reid and Eve have quickly become one of my favorite couples and I cannot wait to get Brig’s story!

Another great swoon worthy romance for Meaghan Quinn, I love her books so much. They are a little bit of happy, a great escape from reality that you know you will leave happy, not to say there won’t be emotions and upset along the way, but there will be great characters, a wonderfully romantic story with chemistry and swoon worthy men and women. A great entertaining read and I will keep coming back for more

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

Eve and Reid - wow they are so good together. Meghan Quinn's 3rd book in the Getting Lucky series is another great addition to a series that is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Eve and Reid are great as friends but when they finally take their feelings to the next level the story kicks into high gear. The story is fast-paced with great character development and I loved the story.

Ok so I read the first book, and I was just ok with it, but then I saw this book and I was nosy and I have to say thank you that I was because I truly enjoyed it..OMG, so I love this family they are hilarious, hilarious, so I cracked up at Brig, he truly was the show, this guy had me laughing but the sister Jen she was awesome..You guys have got to read this book!. So we had met Reid before and we knew of the curse, but it was nice to read of his crush of Eve, his bestie's sister. These two going around each other was lovely, and I was so happy that they got together and can I say I liked Eve. She was not a pushover and I loved that she gave as good as she got, she demanded respect and she got it. I liked that she made Reid work for it, thank you I hate when they give in to quickly.. So my favorite parts was on their (the knights) group chats when Jen talks about her vay-jay omg I laughed so hard but I think my favorite part was her version of the bubble machine, too too funny, I seriously love Jen, like for real!!. So when I started reading I said to myself man I wished I would have read the story of Rogan and Harper and felt like I was Gipped then found out today that duh- I missed that book, what in the hell-so I have to go back because I can't wait, seriously can't wait for Brigs story because how this ended too too funny...Thank you Meghan I needed this laugh.

I enjoy small town romances, no matter the location of the small town. Friends who find love, harboring secret crushes, is also a favorite trope I enjoy reading. That Secret Crush by Meghan Quinn has all of that plus more. Family drama, friendships destroyed, shattered dreams and enough angst to go around.

With all that, The Secret Crush also has an acting over-confident, seemingly sex obsessed main character who certainly knows how to talk dirty and do it often. That was not so much my favorite trait that Reid exhibits. Eve holds her on with him.

Interesting take on the small town romance with some cool trendy characters. Think smoking, steamy, not sweet.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Ah, I love the Knightly brothers, and each book somehow surpasses the last!

Reid was a rough one. The curse that hit the brothers when it comes to their love lives happened to hit the same night that Reid and his best friend, Eric, lost their restaurant. He has been in a massive funk ever since, just existing and practically living as a hermit. But the one thing he seems to still care about is Eric’s twin sister, Eve, whom Reid always has a crush on.

There’s a great moment of companionship and solace between Eve and Reid before they cross the line into something more than friends. There is a long history between them, and they go through the whole list when deciding whether or not to date.

Being with Eve makes Reid want to be a better man, and when complications arise that threaten their relationship, he takes the coward’s way out out of fear. Quinn does a great job of writing the conflict, not only between Eve and Reid, but the emotions he goes through with the prospect of opening another restaurant and letting down his dad, and the tensions that arise when Eric returns to Port Snow.

In the end, all three of them make mistakes and jump to conclusions. But there’s a beautiful reconciliation to it all... and Reid swoops in Iike the white knight he always wanted to be for Eve.

That Secret Crush is a swoony, best friends romance, one that will make your heart flutter.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

This is my first exposure to this author, and I can't say that this book is enticing me back for more. The characters are rather sex-obsessed. They've been friends since childhood. She's the twin of his best friend whom he fell out with after their acclaimed restaurant went bankrupt following the betrayal and grand larceny by their business manager. The aftermath of this was nasty and the friendship between the guys never recovered. Reid moved back home to work in the family business instead. Four years later he still is stuck in this rut, unable to motivate himself to cook let alone dream and aspire again for greater things. The only joy he has these days is his interactions with Eve, the object of his secret affection and sexual fantasies for years.

So far, so good right? I was enticed by this concept, the amalgamation of tropes of friends to lovers/secret crush/sister of best mate. So much potential for angst and feelings and longings. Well, I felt really cheated afterwards, because there was no such thing. Instead we had aggressive sexual come-ons by Eric from the word go to the point of making me feel uncomfortable. Okay, she wasn't exactly saying no, but nor was she saying yes initially. What happened to respecting their platonic boundaries? Lucky for him, she turned quite receptive to his heavy overtures quite quickly a few chapters into the book. I was waiting in vain for either one of them to have second thoughts about crossing the line and ruining their friendship. I was also waiting for the dual inner dialogues to express more than crude and lusty thoughts. Unfortunately, the only time there was a bit of genuine affection and care shown between them was when he comforted her at her parents' graves. I wanted more of that, more of the slow build. Yes they have been waiting for years to get together, but we were never shown the build up of the emotions. Instead it was just a sudden a sudden explosion of carnality.

Eve was a great character. Strong and determined, she didn't let life's many adversities hold her back from achieving her lofty goals. Reid meanwhile was stewing in his self-pity for too long. His hot and cold treatment of Eve probably frustrated me more than it did Eve who was far too forgiving of him. I also really don't get how an employee can get away with stealing their money without any legal consequences.

Reid is the Knightly brother who feels hopeless & lost in the world, especially after he loses everything with his business venture, including his best friend Eric. Moving back to his hometown & feeling like a failure, the only glimmer of light is his interactions with Eric’s twin sister Eve, the girl he’s had a crush on for years. Unbeknownst to Reid, Eve has also had a crush on him for many years. When the friendship lines begin to blur & they start treading towards dangerous waters, will they be able to get past insecurities to see what could happen?

Reid is fighting battles with himself. With feelings of low self-esteem & doubts, Eve sees through all of it to appreciate Reid for the type of man he is. Reid makes decisions that will ultimately affect his relationship with Eve. Throughout the serious, angsty drama, the author does a great job of throwing in hilarious banter with the Knightly siblings to keep things on the lighter side. This was a great read & I’m looking forward to the next book!

It's so fun to get to know each of the Knightly brothers, book by book in Meghan Quinn's Getting Lucky series . Their family is just so delightful, and as an only child, I'm so jealous of their group text thread. I love how they give each other such a hard time, but still 100% stand up for and support each other. Reid and Eve's story is pretty complicated- it's a friends-to-lovers tale wrapped up in a best-friend's-sister story. These two are great together and certainly bring the heat. I enjoyed the story line about starting a restaurant, and I could totally relate to Eve's business knowledge since I myself was a business major. After we got to see so much of Brig in this book, I am so looking forward to his upcoming story.

Meghan Quinn has created the most adorable small town community filled with the cutest shops with the cutest names and the most amazing family in the history of fictional families! These Knightly brothers are a riot! They always make me laugh! I love how the author gives us the background of this "curse" in the beginning of each story. It bring me back to the beginning each time and I love it. I thought the author did a great job on creating Reid and Eve's story. I loved their history and following how the relationship developed and the obstacles they faced. While I loved their story there was a little spark of something that I was missing. Almost like the story was a little predictable so there wasn't a big wow factor. With that being said, I still very much enjoyed the story and I can't wait to see what is next for the Knightly clan!

It’s time to head back to Port Snow and our favorite Knightly brothers!

In my last review, I deemed Rogan my favorite (although he and Griff are neck and neck) and challenged Reid and Brig to take that top spot. Boy did Reid step up to the challenge!

I don’t even know where to begin with this man. He’s difficult, grumpy, and has a chip on his shoulder the size of the Grand Canyon. His confidence has taken several hits over the years and he’s not always easy to be around. But once you chip away at that roughened exterior, that Knightly charm and winning personality shine through. Reid is a great guy with a great heart, and he’s a little bit pervy and a whole lot of fun. I absolutely love him!

Eve is exactly what Reid needs. I love her drive and determination. I love her optimistic attitude and her willingness to put others first. But I also love the fact that she’s putting herself first for a change. She’s loving, sweet, and a natural-born caretaker. But she’s also smart, hilarious, and has no problem giving as good as she gets when it comes to Reid.

These two are fantastic together. I love friends-to-lovers romances, and Meghan Quinn does a great job of showing how close these two are. Their friendship is fun and goofy, their banter is hilarious, their chemistry is sizzling, and their lust is off-the-charts hot. Throw in the rest of the loving but overly-involved Knightly clan and you are in for a real treat. This book is going to tickle your funny bone, pull at your heartstrings, and rev your engine. You’re gonna love it!

And Meghan quinn does it again! It’s easy to submerge yourself in this book, especially if you have read the first two in this series. During the first 2 books you get glimpses of Reid...and this book does not disappoint to tell you his story!

The banter and heat between Reid and Eve is palpable during every page of this book! Can Reid break the curse ? Man I can’t wait till brig’s turn!

If you are looking for small town Romance! You need to read this series

I always thoroughly enjoy a Meghan Quinn book and That Secret Crush was no exception. I love this little town and all of the crazy characters that lived in it.

*Sigh* these Knightly brothers are everything!

I just wanted to reach into the pages and give Reid a giant hug. He struggles with self esteem ever since he and his best friend, Eric, had to close their very popular restaurant when their business partner, stole all of their money. Now, estranged from his best friend, he is back home in Port snow trying to figure out who he is now, and what to do with his life. Eve, Eric's twin sister, has been off limits even though Reid's feelings are real and strong. Even though Eric and Reid aren't the best of friends anymore, it doesn't make things any less complicated.

The road is not easy for Reid and Eve but it is absolutely worth it. They are the perfect match for each other. While it took them a while to realize that they couldn't live with out the other, it is so enjoyable watching them come to terms with it and watch their journey to their happily ever after.

I am so in love with the town of Port Snow and the entire Knightly family! August can not come soon enough so I can get my hands on That Swoony Feeling, Brig's story! While I can not wait to read Brig's story, I have to admit it will be bitter sweet having to say goodbye to this series after the final book.

Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.
