Is there a natural method of sleeping and what are the steps in getting a decent night sleep. Author Lucinda Ford found a way on finding a natural method of getting to sleep. Lucinda steps readers through on learning on how to establish on why we’re not sleeping well. Practicing with mindfulness can help find sleep; whereas mindchatter, negative thoughts, anxiety, worry, stress and insomnia can effect us with getting a good night sleep. Lucinda walks through some simple techniques such as sleep rituals and meditation and then how to put together the techniques for a great night sleep. Recommended for people young and old to practice finding sleep naturally by reading this book.

If your sleepless nights are due to stress then this book is for you! It gives you some very easy steps to fall asleep naturally and successfully. I really loved that this book didn't beat around the bush that it was very short and a real no nonsense book. Easy to follow instructions will have you dozing right off to dreamland in no time.
This is a short book for anyone who has difficulty sleeping, as I do. The author, who obviously understands sleep and what it is, provides cognitive behavioral therapies to help a person fall asleep faster and stay asleep better, all of which are easy to follow. The techniques are fairly easy to understand, and will help one fall asleep, though perhaps not everyone. I know I am trying them out myself. This is just the book for the non-specialist, who seeks a better understanding of the problem and ways in which to overcome it and cope with it. I recommend anyone who wants more information on the subject and/or who has difficulty falling asleep try this book. It may help. I received this from NetGalley to read and review.
This is well written, informative, insightful... step by step self help book with interesting exercices and techniques to try .
I have had sleep issues for years and this was refreshing to find new techniques explained in this book to try to fall asleep.
Not only that but it is full of information and explanation about sleep and why we are having issues, the causes, how daily life affects our sleep pattern...
A short read, easy to understand and follow. You can try all techniques until hopefully something works.
I know my issues mainly come from stress and anxiety so even though I can fall asleep under one hour (which is still a long time!) I then wake up at least twice in the middle of the night and take another 45 minutes or so to fall back asleep so I can never sleep more than 2 hours at a time.
Thank you to NetGalley and Fairlight Books for the ARC of this book. This is my honest review. All opinions are my own.
This book uses cognitive behavioral techniques to explore what is making you lose have trouble falling asleep. This is an easy to use manual for anyone suffering from sleep issues. I thought it was helpful that the author included a variety of techniques and encouraged the reader to explore them to find the right one to help them.
An insightful little book to offer valuable advice on sleeping...It sums of the possible reasons why we find it difficult to sleep and offers advice on each problem. A quick, easy, informative read, I would recommend,
I received an advanced reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
This is a short but to the point book about learning what keeps you awake at night and ways to deal with it using cognitive behavioural techniques.
This is a good book for basic strategies but not as in depth or extensive as i would have liked.
Lately, I've been having trouble with falling asleep and staying asleep through the night. I picked up this book hoping I would get tips on restful sleeping. I am pleased to say that this book had such great advice that I was able to fall asleep and wake up rested! The vision exercises, especially the one where you imagine the ocean tide starting at your toes to your head, were very helpful for me. The practice of mindfulness, especially throughout the day, was the most helpful. Most of us don't realize that what happens throughout the day, whether it's negative thoughts or environment we are in, affects our sleep. I learned how to be more mindful and meditative within the chapters of this book. I will recommend to my friends and family - even if they feel like they sleep well, they could probably sleep even better once they've read this book!
A short book about using cognitive behavioral therapies to fall asleep easier and getting more quality out of sleep, and eventually life. This book focuses on stress-related sleep problems. It has easy to follow techniques to fall asleep easier.
If your struggle to sleep well is more medical, this book is not for you. This is a short book, but enough information and to the point. It does not dwell. The techniques are interesting and might not work for everyone, since some consist of recalling on older memories like buildings you've visited. That could be stressful and making you "search" in your brain could keep you awake. The author does note that if it stresses you out or you feel emotionally not safe, then try another technique.
Anyway, give it a try if you're having trouble sleeping, it could work out great for you.
