The idea behind this book sounded interesting. There is a fair amount of text for a children's book, but the illustrations are nice. I would guess that it is targeted at ages 5-8 or so.
I, personally had some troublewith narwhals building houses underwater. My 3 year old could not get into it, my 9 year old said she thought it was kind funny.
If you are looking for a new take on the the little pigs, this magical themed story might be for you.

ARC Copy...interesting aquatic take on the three pigs parable (who doesn't love narwhals?) and the cute illustrations would capture little kid's attention!

This adorable retelling of the Three Little Pigs fascinated my granddaughter. She loves sea creatures so using three narwhals and a big scary shark was perfect. We talked about the ship, not building the house right and how the narwhals worked together to stay safe. She and I both loved it and it was great for nap time reading.
Thank you NetGalley, Arcturs Publishing and Stewart Ross for the chance to read this book for a review.

This was a sweet story perfect for small kids and the whole family. Cute, fast read perfect before bedtime :)

I loved this remake of the classic Three Little Pigs Tale. A great message and the added sea and shark theme made it even better. My 3 year old son loved listening to this one and the illustrations were great as well.

What a fantastic twist on the three little pigs! Fans of Octonauts will absolutely love these characters and their adventure. My 4yr old was hooked from the beginning and eager to see what would happen next as the story progressed. The only thing that would make it better is more pictures of the narwhals' houses

This is a retelling of the three little pigs and the big bad wolf.
In this telling, we have three narwhals Spike, Spiral and Stubby and a big bad shark.
Just like the original tale the three narwhals each build a house and the big bad shark tries to destroy the houses to eat the narwhals. Stubby is my favourite and there is a nice inclusion of a passing dolphin and her baby. Cute rhymes and beautiful illustrations.
I look forward to reading more of these retellings.
I received this book from Netgalley, the publishers Arcturus Publishing and the author, in exchange for an honest review.

What a wonderful twist on a classic fairytale! Instead of three little pigs and a big bad wolf, here's three little narwhals and a big bad shark. The underwater setting is great and I loved the twist it caused. The illustrations are great and I'm sure kids will love it. This would be absolutely perfect for a story time, it would be a blast for both adult and children's. Highly recommend!

This was a cute reproduction of the three little pigs. Three narwhal siblings use their imagination and creativity to build their own houses. The story emphasizes that appearances aren’t everything even though every wants to focus of the sparkly and shiny. The shark has his own catchy version of the big bad wolf’s poem. I liked the ending interaction with the shark, I think kids will really like the silly talk. It ends with a lesson that stresses the importance of teamwork. A very enjoyable rendition of an old classic.

This was my first time reading a book in this series. It takes fairy tales we all know and inserts a fun twist to breath some new life into it. "The Three Little Narwhals" is a take on The Three Little Pigs. Each Narwhal has it's own personality.Spike is outgoing and a total showoff, Spiral is very creative and Stubby is shy.
The Three come across a sunken ship and each chooses different things to build their homes out of. Along comes our big hungry Shark who replaces the wolf in this story. My kids all enjoyed the freshness and kept pointing out the differences to me.
I received an advanced copy of this story for free from NetGalley. This is my voluntary and honest review.

The Three Little Narwhals is a great version of the three little pigs. I loved the extra creativity written into the story. I would absolutely put this story in my classroom library.

I requested and received an advanced reading copy of this book from NetGalley.
I liked this adaptation of the Three Little Pigs. I love Narwhals and Sharks, so this combination works for me!
I liked that Stubby isn't necessarily smarter than the others it just so happens that the only material left, after the older siblings build their houses, is the strongest material.

I think all kids are fans of sharks and narwhals, especially in my preschool! And who doesn’t love a good retelling of The Three Little Pigs? This is a fun story with adorable illustrations and a good message. The ugliest house ended up being the strongest and last one standing. It was a good message for kiddos that, “looks aren’t everything.”
Thank you to NetGalley and Arcturus Publishing for this ARC.

Anything with Narwhals is a win and this is no exception. Super cute characters and story. Always here for a good fairy tale retelling

This is a very sweet retelling of The Three Little Pigs story. It has beautiful illustrations.
I liked that the story took place underwater because it made the story different from the original.

First of all I absolutely love the illustrations! The design and color is amazing. Second, I really enjoyed the story. It is a cute retelling of the Three Little Pigs. I thought the singing and jokes were fun. This is a great story to read to your little ones!

This is the 3rd book of the Twisted Tale I read to my 3 year old son. We really do enjoy this collection. I mainly love them for the twist on the original fairy tales.
Three Little Narwhals was a perfect addition to my child’s growing library of stories. A twist on the Three Little Pigs. Since he is obsessed with the sea and all the animals in them, it was a great story to read to him to capture his attention.
These are brilliant books to read as bedtime stories and for young readers who are just starting out and need to get their confidence up. It’s beautifully illustrated to explain the situation and easy to understand and point bits out.
I adore these books, 100% recommend to parents and young readers.

My kid started loving narwhals all of a sudden, so I was excited to find this book! It was “kind of” like Three Little Pigs but with a cute twist! My son gave it two thumbs up!

First and foremost, a large thank you to NetGalley, Stewart Ross and Arcturus Publishing for providing Neo and me with a copy of this publication, which allows me to provide you with an unbiased review.
As my son, Neo, and I love receiving and reviewing all sorts of books, we thought we would try some of these twisted fairy tales. Stewart Ross has penned this interesting tale that resembles one that children will know very well, but with a nautical twist. When three little narwhals watch a pirate ship sink to the bottom of the ocean, they get an excellent idea; they will take the scraps left over to build themselves houses. As the eldest, Spike gets first pick of the supplies. While his house looked mighty ‘cool’, there were some issues, particularly when a large (and very hungry) shark comes over to find a meal. Barely able to slip away, Spike makes his way over to his sister’s new abode. Spiral makes her house much more pleasing to the eye, but has some issues all her own, which leads the shark to come and try to dine on the two of them. In a panic, Spike and Spiral rush over to their little brother’s place. Stubby was stuck with only the leftovers, making his house with whatever he could gather. The shark is back and hungry as ever, but this could be the toughest lunch he’s ever had to catch. How will Stubby’s house hold up against the power of a jaw filled with sharp teeth? Ross does a wonderful job with this piece, entertaining his readers until the very end.
After giving it some thought, Neo liked that there was a loose parallel to The Three Little Pigs, but that the story proved to be a little different, adding some mystery to the overall experience. Ross is able to build a great foundation for the piece before going along with the traditional two houses of lacklustre quality and one that holds firm. Neo quite enjoyed the side commentary from a family of dolphins as they watched the antics of these three narwhals, particularly the honesty of the baby. The illustrations added something really effective to the story, keeping the reader interested as they make their way through the reading experience. The book was just long enough to serve as a bedtime story or one to fill the time, though Neo feels that it might not be ideal for the young or learning reader to tackle themselves quite yet. Still, it is a wonderful way for a child and the reader to spend some quality time together.
Kudos, Mr. Ross, for a great spin on a classic story!

Spike, Spiral, and Stubby the Three Little Narwhals. Each make their own house out of the wreckage of a ship. And then the big mean shark comes along to eat them up.
This was cute retelling of the Three Little Pigs. Super cute and enjoyable.
