50 Reasons to Love Animals is a beautifully illustrated book for children with amazing information, facts and tips as well as ideas to do at home.

Each animal featured has a short piece of information about them but this information may be short but its easy to understand and absorb for children.

Children learn do much from this book such as habitats, environments, countries, species the list is almost endless!

Full of fun facts, trivia tidbits and beautiful illustrations, this book will become a firm favourite - fast.
As a child, I loved anything to do with animals, and I still do, as do many kids I know. This book is a lovely way to gain confidence with independent reading, do factual research, and learn about all creatures great and small.

This is a nice book for younger children. There isn't very much information about the animals; it is little more than a list of animals that are potentially at risk of extinction. The illustrations are nice and I liked the little tips for how children could help a particular animal, for example, by researching and sharing information with peers.

Aimed at young readers aged 3-6 this is a beautifully illustrated book that seeks to educate children about animals, their habitats, and the various threats facing them including climate change, the destruction of habitats, exploitation, and wildlife crime.

Barr focuses upon 50 key animals with facts about each. Some of the facts were new to me. I certainly didn’t realise grizzly bears could run so fast or that sadly the deadly Ebola virus has seriously reduced the lowland gorilla population.

Every other page or so contains a suggestion as to how its young readers can ‘Show your love for....’; various animals complete this phrase with a practical suggestion for actions to be undertaken to help protect them.

Hanako Clulow's colourful illustrations were delightful.

This is sure to be a helpful resource for parents and educators, who would like to introduce children to the subject of wildlife conservation. It would also make a lovely gift.

There are more than 50 reasons to love animals, but in this book, 50 reasons are already enough. While sitting in your corner of earth, not knowing what you do might endangered those animals close or far to you is normal. Most of us lives in a city, not knowing the way of the nature. And most of those who live close to nature know some of the facts already. Nevertheless, it's good to know how nature works, explained as simple as possible for kids in this work.

So pretty! I’ll admit, when it comes to picture books, art can make or break it for me. This was so beautiful, easy to follow, not too much text for a child, but some interesting information about a variety of animals in different habitats. Nice suggestions for the child to make changes to help animals/the environment.

50 Reasons to Love Animals is a fun picture book for kids (and their adult facilitators, teachers, parents, caregivers, etc) with animal facts and information. Due out 7th April 2020 from Quarto on their Frances Lincoln imprint, it's 40 pages and will be available in hardcover format.

This is an appealing book. The text, by Catherine Barr, is age-appropriate, accessible, science based and full of interesting facts about different ecosystems and the animals which call them home. Many of the pages contain small medallions ("show your love") with activities and suggestions for readers to become more engaged and aware of the animals and the difficulties they face. The art, by Hanako Clulow, is appealing and colorful.

This would make a superlative selection for a classroom unit, library read, or child's home library. The art is detailed enough that it would be a nice read-to-me book for even the youngest readers to enjoy hunting and finding animals or features.

Such a fascinating and fun children's book!!!! 50 Reasons to Love Animals by Catherine Barr is a very beautifully illustrated educational book for children. This book lists animals all over the planet with fun educational facts about each. This book would be a great resource for teachers and would make a lovely gift for any child. I loved the illustrations they are both adorable and educational. I highly recommend this book. I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review.

This is a great book for young readers and would be perfect for companion/pair reading. The facts are short and to the point. I would recommend for grades K-2.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. I love this great non-fiction book for kids about why they should love animals. Excellent illustrations and great information.

This is one of the books with the cutest drawings I have ever seen! I love this book. It's very informative for children and has great facts. It's divided by different habitats and shows the main animals living in those habitats. Every animal is accompanied by a fact, and they are all great fun. There's also little tips on how you as an individual can help these animals and how to show your love for them. These are accesible, fun and don't feel preachy. The book also touches on climate change and pollution, but not too much in your face and also not preachy. It's done just right!

This is a lovely book which helps show children the importance of animals and why we need to protect them. It isn't too 'in your face' about protecting them either, there are lots of fun-engaging facts and that is what stands out the most. THe need to protect them is more subtle, which I think is important as when trying to lecture a child, it doesn't often go down well, so the perfect balance of teaching children, without dictating to them, is within this book.

The illustrations are lovely and bring the animals to life.

I think it is a great way to introduce animals to children and goes a little deeper than a basic picture book so it's a good buy. It would be really valuable to a classroom environment too.

You can tell that the author really cares and that is what is wonderful about this book - feeling an author's passion.

What a lovely book for children interested in animals beyond the local farm!
Divided into six sections - from the savanna to poles and tropical forests - the books is full of beautiful drawings and fun facts about animals.
Each section and page mentions some of the challenges animals face due to climate change.
It is a book to read with your child, rather than leaving them alone, as some gaps and infomation may need to be filled and some words explained.
But it is a brilliant way to open a dialogue and make children understand the beauty of our natural world and how to preserve it.

I loved this cute delightful book for children! It was colorfully illustrated with the sweetest pictures of animals from all over the the world living in their own habitats, and 'doing what they do'. Each animal had fun, interesting information written about it. There were also some positive discussions about how we can all be proactive in helping the animals and the environment so they will be less endangered. I liked the little medallions each page included that gave some simple fun ideas for kids to try at home to help the animals.

This was such a cute children's book. It could be used by parents, teachers or librarians for fun, positive reading and discussions with children. A solid 5 stars for me. I loved it! I highly recommend it.

At first blush, I thought this book would be about compassion, responsibility, and how animals benefit humankind. Instead, it turns out to be a facts-based book about the animals affected by humans and climate change. So, to me, the title was a bit misleading. Perhaps, the title: "50 Amazing Animals" would have been more apropos in my opinion.

I do like the medallions that appear on select pages. It gives the child an opportunity to make a difference, or to learn more.

The illustrations are superb as it brings the pages of the book to life. You almost feel as if you're there in the wild with the animals.

Overall, a good book to add to a child's library. If not for the animal facts, but for the beautiful illustrations.

This is a wonderful children’s book. Each page provides interesting facts about different types of animals living in various habitats. The illustrations are beautiful and engaging. I would love to see a follow-up to this book outlining animal species living in other habitats!

I appreciate how this book confronts environmental issues with positive information and proactive tips. By focusing on the interesting characteristics of various animals and how they engage with their environment, it's easier to make a connection to why they need to be protected. And the suggestions of possible actions included throughout offer a way to not just read, but take your new knowledge a step (or more) further.

50 Reasons To Love Animals was a delight! Beautifully illustrated, with quick facts and organized into habitats. My daughter has a similar book, with flaps to open with the facts underneath, and I’m not sure if that is the plan for this title. This is a beautiful edition and sure to be a favorite for any animal lover!

This is an adorable children's non-fiction title which is simple in premise; the author gives 50 facts about different animals around the world and what makes them unique. Pairing these facts with information about the destruction of habitats and Hanako Clulow's absolutely gorgeous illustrations gives the book a sense of urgency without being scary. It is the perfect level of sadness that I think will help children to understand what climate change and never-ending industry is doing to the planet. It even gives tips on how children can highlight and celebrate endangered species from around the world.

Overall this is an important book and is something that I would love to have a physical copy of to share with my son.

A beautiful book, perfect for learning facts about animals known and unfamiliar.
The book divides into habitats and as you turn the page and discover animals living in each place, you can see facts about them. Some were facts I knew while others were impressive and unknown to me. I found this to be a nice balance of learning.
Within the pages is also "Show you love" buttons with ways to show your love for animals, ideas for informing others and activities to get involved with. This would be great to have in a school with students aiming to complete these challenges as part of their learning.

The illustrations are stunning, showing the animals in their natural habitats and labels also explain some of the environment- such as plants and trees.
There are actually 50 amazing reasons to love animals, if you didn't already. This book could convince anyone to enjoy animals and want to help protect them and their habitats, as there is clearly an underlying message of conservation and protection.
