This was really cute! It was a nice change to see the two main characters have different views on love and how to go about falling in love. I will definitely be continuing this s

Love Me, Love Me Not features two heroines who are different in so many ways but make good friends for each other. Yuna is innocent in love and wants a first and true love like in manga. Akari falls in love quite a bit and is more outgoing and isn’t afraid to put herself out there. Both girls are learning about friendships and love.

I thought I knew how the relationships and the story would go, but I was wrong. I can’t really go into detail because it would be a spoiler, but OMG! The ending of this makes me so desperate to get my hands on volume two. I have questions. So many questions!

Overall, the artwork is the same that I love from this artist and I have a feeling this angsty story is going to break me.

I love mangas and Ao Haru Ride was one of the first series I started collecting which is by the same author.

Of course, I had to read this new series of hers. I was not disappointed. I loved the art style and the dynamics between each relationship. It was really well done. I’m excited to see what she has in store for us!

This first volume of Love Me, Love Me Not is super sweet with some drama added in. The "pieces" this series is broken up into are a little odd, but I can most likely get used to it soon. I haven't seen the new anime movie for this series yet, but I will be because I read this volume!

Love Me, Love Me Not, Vol. 1 by Io Sakisaka is a manga comic book, in black and white.  It's a romance story, with 2 friends, Yuna and Akari, who are complete opposites.  This is a story aimed at teenage girls, so YA.

As it is YA in genre, this means there's lots of strong emotions and is sweet.

Love Me, Love Me Not, Vol. 1  was published on 10th April 2020 and is available from Amazon,  Waterstones  and  Bookshop.org .

I'm afraid I couldn't find where you could follow Io Sakisaka.

I was given access to this book in exchange for an unbiased review, so my thanks to NetGalley and to  Viz

Really enjoyed this manga. I had a very hard time reading it on my device but once it was figured out, the story was warming and I had a lot of nostalgia from the anime I used to watch while I was reading it.

This is a little bit of a sad and confusing love story. Don't worry it's meant to be that way. If you like confusing feelings and unrequited love mixed with some beautiful art then you're in for a treat.

While I did enjoy the overall story, it was pretty slow for me and centered on a character that was so introverted that it was hard to connect with her.

I would definitely give volume two a chance.

A comedic and contemplative outlook on high school romance from the perspective of a shy girl and an outgoing girl.

At a chance encounter in the subway, Yuna and Akari become close friends who happen to go to the same school and live in the same building. Yuna believes she has found her "prince" and may be falling in love. While Akari is busy playing matchmaker and questioning her approach to romance.

A simple plot with a lot of humor and inner dialogue. The story begins before school begins, so the characters are well introduced before the high school drama begins. The love interests are very different which gives readers a lot to predict for the coming volumes. The dialogue between characters is insightful and revealing of the drama to come. The illustrations capture the emotions and humor in scenes. The detail on the characters' faces adds to the humor in the scene. The topic of romance in Japan is entertaining and sure to leave readers thinking.

A great option for a contemporary read!

This was a cute, light shojo read which is honestly what all of us need in the world right now.

This is perfect when you just want that perfect balance of escapism. It’s sweet and funny and I will definitely be looking out for its sequel in the future.

Thank you for this ARC.

We've been looking to expand our manga collection at my branch, and I really appreciated this opportunity to get my hands on the first volumes of a few new series! Love Me, Love Me Not was a sweet, romantic read with a heavy dose of drama! Shoujo checks out well at my branch, and I think this would appeal to our teens who loved Orange. Submitted a request to have it added to our collection!

Yuna and Akari become fast friends after a chance encounter. Yuna may have develops a crush on Akari's brother while her brother Rio has a secret of who his crush. Will heartbreak follow?

I love anything by this author so of course, I jumped at the chance to read this. I had thought it was a kindle ebook but it was Adobe so I had some trouble trying to read it but eventually figured it out. I discovered its better on a desktop not trying to use my phone.

I could not wait to start this and I look forward to seeing how these relationships progress especially the friendship between Yuna and Akari.
