Best book of the year so far! I loved the world-building as well as the character development. There is also plenty of Sarah J Maas’ legendary smut!

Wildly excited to read the rest of this. As a first time Sarah J Mass reader (I know, I know....) I'm absolutely gripped by the story immediately and I'm absolutely in love with Bryce. The world was fascinating, the characters are likeable and details you're presented with transport you to the scene.

I loved this book! I can never get enough of SJM’s writing. Bryce is a badass and I love that she is such a strong female character. Hunt is our typical brooding male but he also has a soft side. Definitely an instant favourite

I already bought this book and I´m so ready to dive into the Story. Everyone has to read it, because it´s Sarah J. Maas!!

While I found the first part of this book to be very information-heavy, I really appreciated the world-building. It is very different from other Maas books and I found it really interesting to see her weave her signature fantasy elements with more modern technologies. I enjoyed reading this excerpt so much, I raced out to snag a copy on release date!

Of course it sucks you in and then the extract stops just as it is beginning to get reallllly good.

I have of course already purchased the book.

Disappointing. Was only barely a fan of A Court Of series but read them despite myself, and this wasn't any different to those. Felt like the same characters and plot recycled but with a lot more swearing mixed in to change the label from teen to adult.

Really enjoyed this opening extract of House of Earth & Blood. I'm so intrigued by where this novel is going, my appetite has been whet.
I've never read any of Maas books before so I was unsure if I should start with this one but the writing style is easy going and fluid so I definitely want to carry on!
I will post a full review online when I've read the rest of the book!

I found it to be far too much of an information dump. It was hard to follow as every time a character or place was mentioned there was also a big back story to go with it. It was a bit overwhelming

wow. when I read this excerpt I tried not to be too excited as the book release was still a long way off, however it is yet another amazing and astonishing piece of work from an amazing author. this book is out now and I definitely suggest picking it up!

Look, you either love Sarah J. Maas, or you don't. If you've tried her books before and didn't get on with them, you probably won't much like this book, either. Personally, I think her imagination for fantasy is amazing, and I adore every single one of her characters for many different reasons. This extract was no exception.

Within the first hundred pages alone, Sarah J. Maas introduces you to the world and the characters, makes you fall in love so quickly, then immediately punches a hole in your chest and rips out your heart. Yep, that's within the first hundred pages.

I can't wait to see what the rest of the book brings!

I struggled with the previous SJM books and wondered if this would be different.

I am sure this will go onto being a big success like her other books and good luck to her and to evetyone that enjoys them.
