I already love this story and hate that I was only able to read 5 chapters. I can’t wait for the release of this book!

I love Sarah J Maas. I recently read ACOTAR and I have been eagerly awaiting this book. The excerpt has me even more excited! The writing style is beautiful and I love what I’ve seen of the characters and the plot so far! Reading the excerpt urged me to pre-order the book.

Please God let the final book be better than this extract. I have this book pre-ordered and am actually considering cancelling it. I'm a big Maas fan but I felt like I was reading bad Daughter of Smoke and Bone fanfiction.

This extract was amazing! I can’t wait for the book to be out and to read the entire thing! I was so excited for this, since Sarah J. Maas’ other works are some of my favourite reads of all time. The fact that this is more for adults than YA is exciting. I love Bryce and I think she is the perfect protagonist for this story.

OK well, this just killed me and I still have to wait 2 weeks for this book! What?! I've loved all of Sarah J Maas' books before now so can't say I'm surprised that I enjoyed this sneak peek as well!

Hints of an intriguing world, though we’re not given a lot of detail here. What we do get, however, is a definite setting-up of a story to capture our interest...who is behind this attack? Why Bryce? Will she survive this?

I have just finished reading the first few chapters of house of earth and blood, and I wish I could finish the book now.

The book was well written and I loved the story line and characters.

I am definitely buying this book when it comes out to go with the rest of my Sarah j. Mass books on my book shelf.

I have only read one chapter. I then instantly preordered the book.

I was sucked into a brand new world with one chapter. That is the power Sarah has with her writing.

I will read the rest when my full copy comes.

Queen Maas at her finest!

Very intrigued by these first few chapters. I particularly like the complexity that Ms Mass brings to her stories and I feel like this book will live up to that. Can't wait to sit down and read the full story.

I'm sorry (not really) but I really don't like the writing. I've read SJM's other books and I don't remember much from them but from the writing in this one it looks like it's forced too much to sound savage or witty when it's full of clichéd remarks and if I submitted something like that for my classes it would be all marked with red.

Absolutely gripping excerpt from the book. It was really disappointed to not being able to read all of it. From the first page I was just intrigued with this new world and the characters. I will definitely pre-order.
