This is the second book in the creek canyon series. It is lovely, romance suspense.
It is not steaming romance, like the first one in the series, but it so lovely.
It is written in 3rd person, but I still loved it.

After meeting Erin in book one, we get her story with Matt, Colin’s brother. Another great story and romance which included lots of appearances of all our friends from book one (not to worry if you didn’t read it - this is standalone).

Erin is on the run from an abusive husband and has found a home in Parker’s guesthouse. She has a lot of trouble letting Matt in and fights the attraction, but he is patient with her and takes his time earning her trust.

This is a great story and probably my only complaint is that it ended! I can’t wait for the next story (secretly hoping it’s Grace’s book).

Thanks to the publisher for a review copy via NetGalley.

Home to Me is book 2 in the Creek Canyon Series and it’s a beautifully written story about a strong heroine who has been through so much in her life, Erin Fleming is determined to break free from her abusive Ex and this is her story.
Erin moves to Santa Clarita, California to start afresh and this is where she meets Matt Hudson a local firefighter who sets her heart beating once more, could this be the man who will prove not all men are abusive and maybe it’s time to trust again .....
Home to Me ticked all my boxes, it’s emotional and at times it broke my heart but every tear I shed was worth it because this book is a true testament that love is worth fighting for when the person you are with is your soulmate. It’s a sweet story about navigating bumps in the road on the way to your HEA. I highly recommend this this gem to all romance lovers

Catherine Bybee is such a good find for fans of Robyn Carr, Susan Mallery or Jill Shalvis. She writes an excellent series, complete with excellent secondary characters readers love to love. This book was no exception! The second in her Creek Canyon series, this installment features Erin, running from an abusive relationship, and Matt, the hero who will save her heart.
This book is good, quick, and satisfying read.

Erin tries to keep herself to herself, she just wants a quiet life and not draw attention to herself. She’s happy that she found her rental home on Parker’s land which is secure and secluded. She is trying to avoid Matt who seems to keep coming round to help out whether she wants it or not. She initially found the tall, built firefighter scary after her past experiences but she starts to look forward to his visits. As her past comes back to haunt her she finds its different now she is surrounded by friends willing to protect her. Another Catherine Bybee classic. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Home to Me is the second book in the Canyon Creek series by the talented Catherine Bybee. I'm loving this series so far and was excited to her Erin's story. We know she's running from someone, but we didn't have all the details. Matt has had a thing for her since the moment he met her. He's just waiting for the right time. He knows not to push, but he's not going to give up. Erin shouldn't even be thinking about men after what she's been through, but Matt is just different. Yes, he's handsome and sexy, but he's kind, loyal and smart. She can't deny the attraction anymore and after one brief kiss she wants more. Matt is willing to go slow and let Erin lead him. He just wants her. When he finds out who she's running from and why he vows to protect her. Will Erin fight for herself this time? This story was fun, emotional and sexy. I loved that Erin was strong and finally realized she needed to stay and fight for herself and her new family. Matt is the perfect man. Sweet, funny, sexy. And he's a motorcycle riding fireman. I loved watching Matt and Erin fall for each other and I love all the secondary characters. Looking forward to Grace's story!

Awesome story! Its a bit of a deeper story and so I took my time reading it. It deals with a victim of abuse, which I knew as we met Erin in the previous book in the series and it was clear she was running from something and was very afraid of it,

This is her story and she finds love, friendship and romance with Matt who is a firefighter and brother to her landlords and besties boyfriend. This was an awesome story and I really enjoed it.

This author is very gifted in creating wonderful stories and characters I fall in love with. I adored Matt and how he is totally there for Eerin. I fell hard for Erin in the previous story and so I was so excited to read her story.

This is the second book from the Creek Canyon series by Catherine Bybee. This series is about women that got struck by life and take a new path. The atmosphere is a little sad but the building romance is soothing and we grow up with the heroine..
Erin and Matters deserve their happy ending.

Everyone has secrets and things that they keep to themselves. Now take that to the next level. Leave your home, your family, your friends, change your identity, your hairstyle, and your hair color, all things you would need to do to disappear. To feel you have to do that means you are in a dire situation. The main character in this book is living with a monster and finally finds a way to disappear, to save her life.

She lands in a new state, in a new town, as a different person. Looking over her shoulder everywhere she goes, hiding who she is, and trying to blend in, without being noticed. Everything was working out perfectly until she saw him. The attraction is to hard to ignore and she can’t stop thinking about him. What’s wrong with her, she can’t be with him, she’s still married.

This book will tug at your emotions and heartstrings. If you are anything like me, you will read it in a day and want more. I truly loved this book. Enjoy!

Catherine Bybee is an auto-buy author for me and she did not disappoint with Home to Me. It is the second book in her Creek Canyon series and was absolutely fantastic. It did have some sensitive subject matter and I think Catherine handled it beautifully. I am very excited for the next book in the series;

Home to Me by Catherine Bybee, is the 2nd book in the Creek Canyon romance series and my first book by this author. Erin Fleming flees her abusive ex, and lands in Santa Clarita, California. Matt Hudson, a fire fighter, is attracted to Erin, and she is to him too, but she's afraid to trust anyone. If you're looking for an escape read, you will love this romance. I will be reading more books by this author, and I highly recommend this book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

In an effort to escape from an abusive husband, Erin has created a completely new identity and move across the country. Over a period of about a year, she has managed to create a new life for herself, including starting a career as an editor and making close friends.

Matt was smitten with Erin from their first meeting. Since she seemed skittish, he didn’t push her. Fortunately for him, Erin eventually started to slowly let him in. Although she didn’t want to discuss her past with him, she gradually began to share more of her past with him and her closest friend.

When Erin and some good friends are almost killed when the brakes in her car fail, it is discovered that both brake lines were intentionally cut. Erin and Matt quickly realize that her ex has found her. She realizes that she now has a support system in place and can fight for her future instead of running. Will Erin and Matt find their HEA or will her ex succeed in his efforts to silence her?

Home to Me is a combination of both romance and thriller. It is a quick and fun summer read!

It’s no secret that I’m a HUGE Catherine Bybee fan, and I’d been anxiously awaiting Home to Me since about three minutes after I finished the first book in this series. While I didn’t love this one as much as I did My Way to You (Canyon Creek #1), Home to Me hit all the spots that reinforce why I enjoy Ms. Bybee’s books so dang much!

Erin Fleming lives in a guesthouse on a semi-secluded piece of land in the Santa Clarita Valley and does her best to keep to herself. But over the past year she’s gotten to be friends with her landlord Parker, and Parker’s younger brother and sister. When Parker starts dating Colin, Colin’s brother Matt becomes smitten with his brother’s girlfriend’s tenant.

It doesn’t take long for Parker, Colin, and Matt to figure out Erin is probably hiding from an abusive past. That suspicion is all it takes for firefighter Matt’s protective instincts to go full court press in making sure Erin feels safe.

There is a simplicity to this story that I really, really enjoyed. There’s no drawn-out drama, no unnecessary angst, just people who meet and have some obstacles to deal with on the way to falling in love. Erin’s world is intentionally small, and Matt does his best to gently bulldoze his way into her life. He’s the stereotypical charming, playboy firefighter who has a reputation for being a bit of a player...but has recently started to think it’s time to settle down. I liked how their relationship developed naturally and at a realistic pace. Erin’s secret is revealed when it needed to be, and not a moment longer. So often authors drag out the big reveal forrr-evvv-errr, and I appreciated that not only was the reader not kept in the dark, but neither was the hero. I also really liked how Erin isn’t a damsel in distress, and Matt is all about giving Erin the tools to take control of her life.

And, of course, it was great to see the characters I loved so much from the first book!

I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. There’s just something about Ms. Bybee’s writing that pulls me in, keeps me engaged, and leaves me with a smile. And there’s not enough of that in my life right now!

Love Catherine Bybee books.!!!!! I was curious about Erin and Matt in the previous book and wondered what their story was going to be. Matt is a sweet charming firefighter who knows what he wants and he wants Erin. Erin is on the run from an abusive relationship and feels that she can never establish any type of home or relationship as it will be destroyed if her ex finds her. Together they navigate the trials of her past and are able to find that perfect fit!
This title was given to me as an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review and I honestly love it! Can't wait for more of Bybee's books!!!!!

The second book in Catherine Bybee's Creek Canyon series focuses on Erin - the tenant that moved into the guest house on Parkers' land the prior year. Fire fighter Matt Hudson was drawn to Erin from the moment he first laid eyes on her. Like Parker and Colin picked up from small actions, Matt knows there was abuse in Erin's past, and he has the patience to wait for her to be comfortable in his presence.

Erin has grown more comfortable and confident since she went into hiding and cut ties with everyone from her past. She's slowly let in Parker and her siblings in past her defenses, and she's finding it harder and harder to resist everything that is Matt Hudson.

Home to Me is a brutally honest portrayal of the lasting impact of abuse. Some of the details from Erin's last are beyond horrifying and heartbreaking. But Erins story is not about being a victim - it's about coming out the other side a warrior.

This story wrecked me in the best possible way. Matt's ability to bring Erin out of her shell, to help her feel the confidence she needed to turn into a beautiful butterfly is heartwarming. I absolutely adore Matt - his care and understanding, and his love so freely given makes him the perfect man for Erin . Someone that deserves her love just as deeply as Erin deserves his. These two are absolutely perfect together.
