This is one of my favourite books that I have read this year. I love the friendship between Ros and Sumi. The characters felt real and truthful. The setting of John's bar makes for a perfect place for Ros to meet her friends and work out what direction she wants her life to take. Lots of lovely moments in the book: dark disco, Ros's shed, Patrick Parker and her mum and dad's renewal vows. A perfect read with plenty of laugh out loud moments. I would highly recommend this book. Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for letting me review this book.

I loved all the 'I ❤️' books and was sad to see them finish, so wondered how I would like this new book. I need not have worried! An enjoyable laugh out loud read, mixed with a few tears along the way. A strong story of Ros coming home to the UK after 3 years in America, to find her parents not relishing her living at home again, so putting her in a refurbished leaky she'd at the bottom of their garden. She lands a job quickly, although not really what she wants. The group of close friends she left behind are thrilled to see her, but have all moved on to a certain extend, and have a new addition to the group, a local bar owner called John. When she gets a new phone, she sends her number to All her contacts, including her unpopular ex Patrick, who broke her heart and is hated by her friends. Can a leopard change their spots? A really great book, loved it from start to finish........

Sadly I think I am the wrong age to enjoy this book. It's definitely a sweet little story about Ros , her daft parents and her many friends..........and her garden shed, but for me there wasnt much depth.to the tale.
Thank you NetGalley for a review copy, I enjoyed reading it.

In Case You Missed It, is a sweet, funny romance with plenty of laugh out loud moments! I struggled to put this story down, which meant lots of walking around the house glued to my kindle.

I loved Ros's friendship with Sumi, Lucy and Adrian. They were a special group and their bond was so supportive and joyful. They were all different, but blended together perfectly because of their great mix of personalities. Their's is a gang I would love to be part of.

The novel has a slow-burn, satisfying romance. There is brilliant early tension between Ros and John., and they also have what is possibly the funniest meet cute ever. Their story has an inevitability to it which compels you to read on so you can reach its conclusion.

Through Ros, Kelk also explores lots of common insecurities. Nostalgia for the past prevents Ros from moving forward and Kelk perfectly captures the unease that life is moving too fast, and everyone else is taking steps forward that you're not ready for.

In Case You Missed It is the first story I've read by Lindsey Kelk and I'm looking forward to reading all of her previous work off the strength of this.

I was very lucky to receive Lindsey Kelk’s latest read, as this baby is not due out until 23 July! Get pre ordering! I had no doubt that this would be another corker of a story. This book was full of humour.. let’s just say I’m off the sushi now..! Some moments really had me giggling into my kindle, I loved Ros’s parents, the fact they move her bedroom to a shed is hilarious, reminiscing over the 90s had me smiling back to my own childhood bedroom. What I loved most about this story though is how relatable it is. Im sure we all have that worry of friendships drifting apart over time so it was refreshing to read about Ros coping with fitting back into her old life after being away for so long. I have to say Ros’s friendship circle was goals with the mix of personalities. As always a little romance thrown in which we all love to read about, I felt so invested in Ros’s love life I had to stop myself from shouting at my kindle at times. A fun and enjoyable read, this is a must for this summer! Big thanks to Harper Collins UK and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly.

I love a Kelk creation just as much as the next person if not more! I was super thrilled to be given the opportunity to read ‘In Case You Missed It’ early and I just knew it had to jump straight to the top of my list.

‘In Case You Missed It’ centres around Rosiland who has returned back home from Washington DC where she produced podcasts. The life she expects to come back to isn’t at all what she expected. She is living in a shed at the bottom of her parent’s garden (yes it’s an actual shed!) and she has to look for a new job. Even though her life is chaotic at best I would absolutely love to be great friends with Ros. She brings back a lot of complicated feelings and I just wanted what was best for her.

Now it wouldn’t be a Kelk book without a great leading man to go along with the leading lady, and this book doesn’t disappoint on that. We meet Patrick and John. I had my opinions on both men and knew who I was going to back.

Lindsey certainly has a gift that just makes you want to hop inside of the pages of her stories and become part of life long friendships she creates. I’ve never been disappointed by her writing and I knew reading her latest wasn’t going to be any different! ‘In Case You Missed It’ is about finding yourself again and taking opportunities as they come along. It’s also about life, love and friendship ❤️ I give this charming story 5*/5* though it deserves a million 😊

Thank you to HarperCollins for an advanced copy of this book via Netgalley.

Oof this book hits close to home and because of that of course it is amazing. Lindsey Kelk has been making me laugh for over 10 years now and she continued to do so with this latest novel (believe me that is a big accomplishment in the climate we’re living in right now) I loved this book from start to finish and I think everyone should read it.

Ros is fab and is so easy to relate to. She finds herself moving back in with her parents after starting off a new life in Washington. I really felt for her having to do this and going back knowing there would be questions, I can literally still feel her pain now but thankfully she has an amazing group of friends who are there to cushion the blow.

I loved Ros’s friendship group and they represent a fairly typical friendship group for me, I really felt like they could have been my friends. Lucy is about to have a baby and brings all the fun and games involved with that. Adrian is single and really doesn’t have a clue about how real people live since he seems to be stinking rich and then there is Sumi, I love her and she and Jenny Lopez could totally take over the world. Sumi almost has it all and the things she doesn’t have yet, she is on her way to conquering-just fab.

Of course we have some love interest options in this book and I absolutely fell head over heels in love with bar wonder John. He is so generous and understanding and funny and helpful and we all need him in our lives. Then there is the love interest we love to hate and oh my goodness I hated him so much. Bravo to Lindsey Kelk for writing an amazing villain.

Ros is lucky enough to land a new job for a podcast production company and this is where we get to another thing that this author does so well, her books are always up to date and relevant and real with interesting and exciting corners of the internet and the job market in general. We cover Esports and a YouTube gamer child-star with the best character name ever! I do feel like this name was inspired by the movie Cats I have to say. But all of this is the reality of the market we live in, podcasts are massive and child YouTube billionaires are a real thing and so I loved reading about them in this novel.

The cast of characters in this novel is also wonderfully relevant and diverse and I love that Lindsey Kelk is doing what is often missing in modern romcom. We have characters who are non-white and non-straight, older characters enjoying a full sex life the representation in this novel is just on point and this is what elevates it from being a good novel to be a great novel and one you should definitely all read!

When Ros returns back to the UK under a shadow after living in America for three years she is put out to discover that her fabulous posse of carefree friends are now busy having babies, getting married and cutting nights out short to go to bed – even her middle aged parents have found a new lease of life and have turned the family home into a steamy love nest, forcing her to move into the garden shed. Still pining for her uncaring ex-boyfriend and out of touch with an entirely new job market, can Ros finally move on and find real happiness again?
.

‘In Case You Missed It’ is effortlessly hilarious from start to finish and I thoroughly enjoyed it – great characters, amazing dialogue and a fast moving and highly relatable plot. Lindsey Kelk is a modern comic writer at the top of her game and the novel is Contemporary Lit at its very best. Five well earned stars.

Many thanks to the Harper Collins, to Ms Kelk and to NetGalley for letting me read and review this brilliant book.

I really loved this book, the only mystery is why I forgot to review it until now!

Ros went to America to start a new career, but a few years on she finds herself living in a shed in her parents' garden and reconnecting with a motley group of friends from college - a romantic, straight-talking lesbian, the world's most immature bachelor and the world's most pregnant woman (with the dodgiest bloke). Ros also reconnects with her ex-boyfriend, Patrick, an ambitious man of letters who would rather spend time with his publisher than his girlfriend. When Ros meets a new man in the first few pages, it's fairly clear where this is going, but among the sundry other delights of the book, including her parents' vow-renewal ceremony and their Too Much Information sex life, this is a fun ride for anyone in need of some escapism. Unlike some other books, it also takes Ros's career as a radio host/podcaster seriously, even if that career involves interviewing twelve-year-old YouTubers and ending up trending on Twitter, in some of the book's most finely observed comedy scenes. And look out for chainsmoking agent Valerie, she does deserve her own show.

This was everything I expected from a Lindsey Kelk novel and it left me feeling light-hearted, in the midst of a lot of uncertainty and change happening in the world right now. As someone in her late twenties living with her parents (I know - cue eye-roll) I knew this would be up my street. Ros and her tendency to focus on the past is something not too dissimilar to how I’ve dealt with life and between the funny anecdotes, there’s a nice reminder of the message ‘live in the present’. Of course, there’s a classic love interest I loved to hate. I do think it was predictable but with a book like this, I wasn’t expecting surprise and I certainly still enjoyed it.

I feel there could’ve been further exploration into Ros’ job in the US and what actually occurred?! I’m left with questions like, how soon did she stop working after being there? What did she actually DO for three years? It seems like a big chunk of her past we have no idea about despite her constant reflection on what came before. Overall though, it’s definitely a happy, summer read and easy to pick up as an escape. There are laugh out loud moments, particularly for me, when it came to Ros’ parents escapades...

So glad Ros came to her senses!! At times I laughed out loud. Easy well written book. Thank you netgalley for the ARC.

I love Lindsay Kelk books. Ros comes back to her home in England from America where she was a producer of a radio programme but she's been sacked. She expects everything to be exactly the same but soon discovers it's not

Another winner from Lindsey Kelk. I think I have read all of her books now and she rarely disappoints. I thoroughly enjoyed this story about Ros who returns home from working in the USA and wants everything to go back to how it was before she left. There's lots of fun to be had, and some life lessons to learn until she comes to realise that the present is what's important. There is a predictable "will they, won't they?" but it kept me wanting to read on to make sure the happy ending happened. A fun read.

Ros returns from America to live in her parents shed. Yes, it had been converted into a bedroom and bathroom but at 32 and unemployed it’s not really where you want to be. This book takes you on a journey that I’m sure many can relate to. Ros thinks her life pre America was amazing apart from the love of her life dumping her. She is reminiscent of the fun she had with her friends and is keen to recreate it. As is often the case her friends have moved on in their lives and Ros needs to move on too. Que new job and ex partner returns. This book has a good storyline and a splattering of humour. A nice easy read to escape into.
Many thanks to Netgalley, Lindsey Kelk and Harper Collins for the e book copy.

I'm really sorry but I found this book boring. I found myself skimming through bits of it.
Ros comes back from America but doesn't tell anyone why. She ends up living at her parents in the shed. She re-kindles her relationship with Patrick which doesn't seem like a good idea. Gets a new job and for me this is where it got boring for me.
Anyway there is a happy ending.
Thanks to Netgalley for an ARC

I am a huge fan of Lindsey Kelk after reading the I Heart.. series.

I found this book a little bit slow compared and missed a lot of the humour that I have come to know and expect from this author.

Even with these things I still enjoyed the book and cant wait to read more

I've been a fan of Lindsey Kelk since the first I Heart book, and am always enticed by the thought of another Kelk-masterpiece coming out.
In Case You Missed It is another great easy, summer read, with a main character, Ros, experiencing the telltale ups and downs synonymous with a Lindsey Kelk book.
Trouble with work, trouble with relationships, trouble with adulting...
Lots of laugh out loud moments, a gaggle of loyal, almost all-knowing friends, a teenage gaming celeb (I Know!) and some cheeky romance, with a couple of dashing heroes to add to the mix.
What fun!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I wasn’t really a fan of the “I heart ....” books, I usually prefer the standalone novels and this one is definitely the best yet. Although obvious who the heroine is going to end up with, it was a pleasant journey to the final destination! This is perfect lockdown-pretend-you-are-at-the-beach read.
