I apparently didn’t read enough of the description to see that this was the 6th book in the series. Whoops!
I enjoyed this love story that had some family drama added to it. The characters are great and I was cheering on Aidan and Leah to find their happily-ever-after. Their story has some twists and turns, and that kept me reading. Throw in all the animals, and you’ve got one of the sweetest books I’ve read this year. This was my first book to read from this author, but I’ll be looking for more to read from her.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
I enjoyed this book, the story was great and although it had a strong religious background it still worked and the story flowed well
I loved the main characters Leah and Aidan, they bonded over animals and when a local farm owner was taken ill and unable to look after his animal Leah took most of them on. Aidan is a vet and is also determined to help Leah, especially as he was the one who persuaded her to take them! Aidan is cautious around Leah as most of the town they live in considers her to be in a relationship with his brother who is in the army and overseas. In truth they are just friends
Both Leah and Aidan are well written and the story between them flows well and it highlights the difficulties that people can have with farming without support and a community who care
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy a romance set in a countryside location with a lot of animals, main characters who you will love and a religious background
Leah’s Hope by Carol Voss

Story Notes
Carol Voss offers the sixth story in her Noah’s Crossing series that is cute but the characters are too scattered to really connect with on a deeper level.
I’ve not read any of Carol Voss’s stories before but I can’t say as I have really missed anything if this story is any indication. While the story was coherent and seemed to have a developed plot, the characters were just too odd for me. I loved Leah and how she had the best intentions for everything but she was so pitifully unable to be confident in herself. I realize that came from her upbringing but her lack of confidence and inability to make decisions just made me wince. Add to this, Aidan’s overbearing attitude when it came to the animals and this story was just too messy. But let’s get to the plot – the one redeemable quality this book has. The story begins with Leah, a kind-hearted accountant who works from home and fosters animals. Her friend and the town’s vet, Aidan, comes to her with a big request: take in the multiple farm animals for a nearby farmer who has been injured. Leah wants to help out immediately but has to think about this request given she is in the middle of tax season. Aidan convinces her to take this on with the promise of providing help and enlisting others to help out too. So begins the biggest adventure of Leah’s life. Taking care of the animals and getting her work done is difficult at first but Leah soon finds her groove and manages well. That is, until one of the ewes in her charge goes into labor and Aidan is out of town. He talks her through the many steps and Leah reluctantly brings a new lamb into the world. Extracting a promise from Aidan that he will not leave her stranded again, Leah continues with her work and fostering. As they work together to care for the animals, Leah and Aidan grow closer to one another. But Aidan is sure that his brother, who is in the military overseas, is in love with Leah and he cannot get in their way. So he holds back from a relationship until he finds out that Leah has no idea what he is talking about. Sure, she’s been writing to Patrick while he is gone, but they’re just friends, always have been. Figuring out who believes what and what they are going to do now will take Leah and Aidan on a journey that will teach them both the importance of knowing who you are and accepting the love that’s been right in front of you all along. As you can see, there is a very good plot going on here. If only the fleshing out of it wasn’t annoying and weird. Both Leah and Aidan just couldn’t let go of long held beliefs and insecurities. And when they did, it was not handled well as to be believable. Aidan certainly never let go of his tendency to overrun Leah’s preferences and I thought that should have been addressed at some point. Leah moved mostly beyond her fears but still seemed content to let others make her decisions for her. For this book to have really been complete, I think more should have been written and discussed. By the end I felt a little bit lost as nothing seemed finally decided except that Leah and Aidan were going to be together. I need a completely finished story or one that leaves only a few things to be answered in the next book so they tie together well if I am going to really like it. This book felt like it was going well and then was too quickly finished so as to meet a deadline. I will not be recommending this book for anything other than for it’s entertainment value. It is not one I would recommend for purchase by any means.

Leah’s Hope has all the ingredients for a great romance. Well written and entertaining plot, animals and a farm setting make this a great read. I highly recommend this book. I received an arc from the publisher and this is my unbiased review.
Leah is an accountant who loves animals. Aidan is a Vet. that has asked Leah to help with his boss's animals when his boss suffers a heart attack. Having to come to Leah's aid when things don't run smoothly a spark between them is lit, even though Leah has been writing Aidan's brother in the Army in Afghanistan.... a wonderful book if you love animals and has a spiritual lean. You won't want to put it down. Sweet story, wonderful series, recommended reading.
Leah and Aidan are working together to help take care of animals when a local farmer gets hurt. She has the barn and property and he is a small town veterinarian. I enjoyed this story, although the side issues with both families got distracting at times. Minor though. Would highly recommend this book and author.
This book is absolutely wonderful! It is full of family drama and the power to forgive hurts from the past through God's love. It is well written and keeps you turning the pages to see what happens next. This is a new-to-me author and I can't wait to read more of her books. Thank you Author Collective 20 via NetGalley for the complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
