I had not read any books by Katie Ginger before and I was given the opportunity to read this book from Netgalley and the Publisher.
I was attracted to this book by the gorgeous cover, and I also enjoy reading series of books. This book is the first book in a new series.
This is a quick, easygoing and enjoyable read. It follows Stella, who moves to Swallowtail Bay after her divorce. She is starting afresh, in a new area where she doesn't know anyone. She has bought a shop, holiday lets and a flat.
There is a good range of characters in this book, the main character Stella,is very likeable. It is fairly predictable but still an entertaining read.
I'm looking forward to reading part 2, and I will definitely look out for more books by this author.

Meet Stella a divorcee, who has picked up her life and moved away from all she knows. In a short time Stella finds her feet in a new business, finds friends and settles in nicely. But can all run smoothly? Can Stella live happily ever after.

Brilliant read from start to finish! Highly recommend.

Praise for Katie a Ginger.

This was my first book by Katie Ginger. This is the first book in this series.

Stella is new to Swallowtail Bay. She is reeling from a divorce and is starting over. Lexi is a single mom who doesn’t have any friends and welcomes Stella with open arms and they become friends. Miles is upset with Stella at first because he wanted the shop she bought. So Stella thinks he's the town grump.

This book is told from the point of view from Stella, Lexi and Miles.

I liked the character growth in the book, but I had a hard time getting into the story.

OMG Katie Ginger has done it again! She has such a wonderful way of drawing you into her books and writing so that the characters feel like your best friends and you feel like your along for the ride on their adventures.

In this new series you meet Stella as she embarks on a new adventure with her trusty King Charles Spaniel, Lexie who is juggling her two young children and trying to pay the bills and Miles who desperately wanted to buy the shop where Stella is licking her wounds.

This books is brimming with love and energy, it draws you in and doesn't let you go again until you reach the final page. I loved the descriptions of the beautiful vintage dresses that Lexie wears and how it is set in a lovely seaside destination. It oozes charm in Swallowtail Bay and I can't wait to go back for another visit in the next book in the series.

I can't wait to recommend this one and will be eagerly awaiting (slightly impatiently) the release of Book 2 in the Swallowtail Bay series.

What a lovely read this was!

Its light, it's well paced, it's full of strong women and takes if friendships, relationships and hope.

I devoured this book in just a couple of days and felt like I was getting a warm hug each time I began reading it again.

The cover of the books inviting and transported me to a brighter sunny place when I was reading it.

I enjoyed this book, it was pleasant and easy to read. The romance was gentle, and didn’t really start until half way through the story. I thought the friendship between Stella and Lexi was lovely to see, and there were many interesting characters. Not to mention Frank (the dog). I’d love to read another book set in the same place, focussing on other characters. The guests that Stella had staying in the holiday lets gave me a good few chuckles.

Although a couple of phrases (too handsome to be single, and feeling guilty being every woman’s default mode) annoyed me, this book was an excellent and relaxing way to while away a few hours. I’d definitely recommend it.

I was given a free copy of this book. My opinions are my own.

“Spring Tides at Swallowtail Bay” was a great read. The story drew me in and the writing made me feel as if I was right there in Swallowtail Bay. The characters were realistic and I felt myself rooting for their success. This book was a quick easy read that was hard to put down. I will be looking for more books by Katie Ginger in the near future.

After her divorce, Stella bought the shop in Swallowtide Bay. She didn't know that local neighbour Miles had wanted the shop for himself. Their first meeting gets off to a bad start, but will he prove to Stella that she should give him a chance?

I have to say, this is one-hundred-per-cent, my favourite book of Katie's so far! I was so excited to meet Stella and the many people who were about to change her life.

Taking a step forward from her broken down marriage, Stella opens up her own shop, alongside holidays lets in the small town of Swallowtail Bay and with such a close-knit community surrounding her, there was some complications and unwelcoming locals to begin with, however, with the help of the more friendly locals, Stella was immediately welcomed to the town and her shop was slowly but surely beginning to thrive. Stella was a great character to read about, only having everyone's best interests at heart and always determined to please. She is a friend through and through to the lovely Lexi and has a little thing for the gorgeous Miles, despite the messy first meeting they both had. It was satisfying to watch Stella's life blossom in to a life that she was proud of, however that being said, nothing is ever perfect and there will always be bumps in the road and Stella dealt with them in the best of ways and was very inspiring for that.

Not only do we get to follow the life of Stella, but we also get an in-depth look in to the life of single mum, Lexi. She was such a wonderful character to read about and it's impossible to not only wish that she gets the happy ending she truly deserves. Like Stella, Lexi is always there to lend a helping hand and was an inspiration for balancing what she did, whilst also having to parent her two little rascals. Stella and Lexi was definitely meant to meet and they are a friendship I only could dream of having.

Despite the grumpy attitude, I loved Miles from the get-go. You immediately know, he has a heart of gold and the only reason that was becoming a heart of stone, is because of his terrible fiance, who always had an agenda and never thought about anything or anyone, unless it benefited her. Being around a person so awful, is sure to rub off on you and cause a lot of stress. Luckily Miles eyes opened to it eventually, because I didn't know how much more of her vile personality I could take! He always thought of everybody before himself, like Stella and his life story had been twisted by another vile human amongst the town, making everybody believe he was a miserable, judgemental lump who was never happy. That was far from the truth and I'm glad he got the opportunity to allow his true self to shine.

I am so excited to read the second book to this series and if it is as incredible as this one, it's going to be another read that I'll not want to put down. I would highly recommend this cute, cosy, light-hearted read and all of Katie's previous books, as she is an author you aren't going to want to miss out on!

After her marriage ends Stella decides to make a new life in the seaside town of Swallowtail Bay.

This lovely story follows the ups and downs of starting her new business and settling into a new life.

I loved the developing friendship between Stella and Lexi, both in need of a best friend!

And then of course there's charmer Jay and grumpy Miles...

A definite to read!

Good book. Two romance stories between two different couples. It was a quick and easy read on a sunday. I would recommend this to others.
I was provided this book by netgalley for a honest opinion.

a fun and easy quick read. Basically there are two romances going on, between Stella and Miles (who is in a horrible relationship with someone else), and Lexi and her ex-husband. Overall I enjoyed this one, although the stories of the people she was letting out to seemed distracting more than anything. Didn't see the point of the theft and drunks, etc. Other than that though, would highly recommend this book and author.

A lovely story of Stella who after a relationship breakdown buys a shop with holiday lets and moves to Swallowtaiil Bay. She discovers that there was someone else who lives nearby, who also wanted to buy it. Things are a bit frosty between them but, she soon makes friends with the locals, especially Lexi. The shop after a thorough clean out is going great guns and she’s selling off old stock. Stella with help of Miles’s fiancée’s friend launches the website for the holiday lets, but things get awkward when she’s with him. There are a few twists in this lovely book and a shock for Lexi. Would definitely recommend it.

This book keeps you thinking, very well written. Some amazing characters that you fall in love with. Definitely a book to sit in a quiet corner and read.

Stella is not completely confident in herself, even though after her divorce she takes her share of the money split and buys a shop, with holiday lets where she lives with her dog Frank .
She makes a new friend in Lexi, also a divorcee with 2 children and she meets her miserable neighbour Miles who is upset that he wasn’t sold the shop and thinks his fiancée can do no wrong despite the fact she is a rude, unlikable woman, (are men really that blind and accepting of women who are patronising to others? ) The story is good but at first I thought the main characters lacked something, but as the story unfolded everything just blended together. I love it when characters emerge and surprise you. I look forward to the next instalment.

This book was very cute, cosy, and adorable. Unlike some of my other recent cosy romance reads this book features very down to earth and realistic characters. I'm looking forward to more in this series as the town is full of fun characters.
