This was a rollercoaster ride. It starts with two women covered in blood and then goes back to six weeks before. Louise is the first wife and Caz Is the second wife both in love with Andrew. What begins with the wives trying to score points against one another soon descends into more drastic moves. You’re not sure whether either wife is particularly sympathetic or that Andrew is worth fighting for but you’re hooked to try and figure out their next move.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and the characters even if I didn’t particularly like them. Definitely worth a read! Thanks to Avon books and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first Tess Stimson novel, and while I was eager to dive into it and devour it because it sounded like the perfect distraction and just my cup of tea, I have to admit I was at first extremely frustrated with this book.  My frustrations had nothing to do with the storyline itself, and everything to do with the numerous grammatical errors throughout the book.  there were so many, sometimes multiple on a single page, that it became overwhelmingly distracting (and admittedly, just downright annoying) and took my focus off of what was happening in the story.  If this had been a finished copy and not an uncorrected proof, I definitely would have docked a star from my rating because of the errors, but because the version I read is in fact an uncorrected proof, I took that into account, and eventually I was able to get used to the errors and overlook them and just focus on the story.  Still extremely frustrating though and something that I am definitely hoping will be fixed in the finished copies of the book if only so that readers have a much better reading experience!

BUT.  Grammatical errors aside- this was still a deliciously written thriller filled with twist after twist and constant surprises that kept me on the edge of my seat as I eagerly anticipated what was going to happen next and see how it all plays out in the end.  Although we are already told from the beginning that somebody is going to end up dead, it was still fun reading it all play out, and figuring out who dun it and how it all happened as the tension and drama builds throughout the story.

This book was the exact kind of soap opera-ish thriller that I love to dive into and lose myself in for a few hours.  It has all the ingredients and makings of a fun, delicious ride of a story- toxic relationships, love triangles, cheating, deception, secrets, unreliable narrators, etc etc.

The story mainly revolves around two women who are in love with the same man (ah, what could possibly go wrong there right??), Louise and Caz.  Louise is the ex wife of Andrew, the man who we already know ends up dead by the end of the book, and she is still very much in love with him and longing to be with him.  Caz on the other hand, is Andrew's current wife, and in Louise's opinion, Caz is currently living the life with Andrew that is rightfully hers and wants both that life and her husband back.  All of this causes a tangled web of jealousies, deception, and the two women constantly undermining each other in their ongoing battle over Andrew.

The book is told from alternating POV's, mainly Louise and Caz's, but we also get the occasional chapter that is in the POV from Louise's friend, Min.  I love the alternating POV's in each chapter and getting a glimpse into the events as they unfolded from each of their perspectives.

I pretty much read this book in one sitting, because it was much too difficult to stop reading and not know what was going to happen next.  Definitely a fast paced read that kept me guessing throughout, and a complete page turner!

I will certainly be checking out more of Tess Stimson's books some time in the near future because I had a lot of fun with this one!

Andrew is caught in a love battle. Louise is the bitter ex-wife who refuses to move on with her life. Caz, is the new wife who will always be second best. These women go above and beyond to outdo each other in vying for Andrews’s love and attention, no matter who gets hurt. But is Andrew truly worth all of this stress?

I found this book to be wildly entertaining, a bit embellished, but still left me fully engaged.

I quickly finished this book in one setting because it kept getting better and better. So many secrets and twists were revealed to make you question which woman to love or hate. Their crazy antics and sneakiness left me wondering who’s right and who’s wrong, and who’s hiding what. Definitely a wild ride!

The only thing I didn’t like was that there were multiple editing mistakes throughout my copy that made it difficult for a smooth read. Nevertheless, this was my first of many books by this author!

Oof. Really clever whodunnit that opens with a grisly death and slowly unravels the truth about the women who all have motives to kill. Absolutely brilliant pacing. The reveals are perfect, highly recommend.

In 'One in Three' we follow the story of Louise who is still adjusting to life as a divorced mother following the departure of husband Andrew, who left her for his mistress Caz. Four years after this life changing event Louise is still struggling to reach a place of acceptance of Andrew's new life, wife and 2nd family which becomes even more difficult when Louise's mother and father invite (an invitation completely instigated by mum Celia who is the classic controlling matriarch of the family) Andrew, Caz and their child to celebrate their wedding anniversary at a remote and elegant hotel.
The story opens with both the wife and the ex-wife standing over the body of a bloodied and dead Andrew and then takes us back through the weeks leading up to the event and covers the perspectives of both Louise and Caz as well a Police interview transcripts as the story unfolds. I loved the fact that all perspectives were somewhat unreliable at times and really highlighted the fact that so many situations and memories are entirely subjective depending on the narrator's bias.
I am a huge crime/thriller fan and quite often see plot twists and outcomes well in advance however I could not have predicted the twists and ending of this story such is the writer's skill in weaving a twisted tale.
The only flaw for me (and really nothing to do with the book itself!) was that the uncorrected proof I received had missing letters throughout the entire book. As other reviewers have also said this I presume this was an issue with the proof and, as stated, has nothing whatsoever to do with the quality of the writing but maybe one for the publishers to look at as it was slightly irritating.
Overall a huge 4.5 stars from me and thanks to Netgalley UK and the publishers for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. I eagerly look forward to the next book from Tess Stimson!

Whoa! Talk about a twisted love triangle.

This story begins with a murder and then follows the stories of Caz (the current wife) and Louise (the ex wife) over the days and weeks leading up to said murder.

This book is seriously intense! I know that they say that there are at least two sides to every story, but this story seemed to have about 5. I couldn't even figure out who the villain was.

I seriously could not put this book down and finished it in no time.

Do yourself a favor and read it yourself. In the meantime, I'm going to see what else this author has to offer.

This book was phenomenal. I pride myself on being a fantastic sofa detective, always sniffing out (or feeling like I've sniffed out) the killer in all the crime books I read, and there are a lot of them, but not this one. One In Three delivered twist after twist, constantly surprising me with the nuggets of information we receive from our two main unreliable/biased narrators.

I've never read a book with this structure before. Each chapter focused on a different characters point of view with police interview transcripts scattered throughout. We start with the murder and our two main suspects, the wife and the ex-wife, standing over the body. After this we jump back in time, learning about our main suspects lives leading up to that night. It works really well in building up the pace and tension.

I adore crime novels, they've always been my favourite genre and One in Three absolutely blew me away. It is unlike any crime novel I've read before and I stayed up until the early hours of the morning to get through this one! A definite must-read!

If fast paced, twisty, dark psychological thrillers are your thing then you need to read this book. From the first page Tess Stimson sinks her teeth in to your with her characters and extremely engaging plot, it's a grip that has you quickly turning the pages at a rapid pace to see what happens next.
It's a book you cannot help but read in one or two settings.

This is the first book I've read by this author but it certainly won't be the last! I enjoyed the story immensely and found myself alternately disliking/liking each character a little more with each chapter. A brilliant ending with just enough of a twist to make it believable.

This book was so good!! I really enjoy thrillers and I have not had a thriller engross me as much as this one did for a while! 5 stars!

This is a hard one for me to review as I typically hate who done it plots! It's a trope I always find so frustrating. We all have them dont we? So I am not the target audience at all. I dont want to do this book a disservice though, as I know this is my personal preference in books and not anything wrong with the actual book. Very well written and very well planned out character development. And I belive if you are after a good old fashioned who done it , this is your jam!

Many thanks netgalley

A psychological thriller with a neat plot and twists till the conclusion. I like stories with strong female characters rather than ones fighting over a man like teenagers. Barring that I enjoyed the story and finished the book in one day.

The blurb about this book really caught my attention. This was a classic whodunit which was fantastic. I really also liked the twist at the end! I enjoyed the multiple perspectives. I love books with multiple perspectives. Great read!

This is the first book in a while that truly had me gripped, right from the very first page. I loved the way I didn’t know what was going to happen, and it left me thinking about the story long after it had finished. I would recommend this book to anyone!

4.9/5.0 rounding it to 5.0 stars!

This is actually an interesting story! I am really getting hype into Mystery/Thriller since most of the books I've read recently from NetGalley are great! I never expected to read 3 good mystery/thriller in a row! WOhoooo.

The story starts with Celia's invitation to Louise's ex-husband Andrew and his wife Caz. I have made a lot of assumptions about the story. The women seems to have all the motives since that's how the author put shade in both of them. It's actually really engaging and it's making me really curious.

There are a lot of POV here. There's Louise, Caz, Min and Celia. It's a great set of POV that gives you a lot of idea as to what is going on.

The ending is P-E-R-F-E-C-T!!! I could never imagine another fitting ending. The reason why I like Mystery/Thriller is to be on the killer's POV. To know the reason why they do what they do or kill whom they want to kill. Guess what? I am very satisfied with what happen. I totally agree with the killer. If I am in her shoe, I would have done the same. Oopps.

Why didn't I give full 5 stars? It's only for one thing. The book has a lot of missing letters in a word. I have no idea why. They are most letters "f" and the vowels before or after that. Then I would need to fill the gaps and imagine which words the author really means. I have never stumbled upon such issue in all of the books I've requested but it's kind of making me annoyed sometimes.

Full review will be up on my website https://inkly.in SOON.

Thanks to #netgalley and #avon books uk for the ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. My first time reading a book from Tess Stimson and it won't be my last. This book had me hooked from the start. It kicks off with the murder of the huband and his current and ex wife are both discovered with his body. We always know the wife did it, but in this case which one did it, ex or current?! The ex wife still has strong feelings for her ex husband and doesn't seem to like his current wife Caz or seeing how happy he appears to be with her. Suspensefully written with some plot twists I did not anticipate, a great read. #tessstimson #oneinthree #netgalley #avonbooksuk #tea_sipping_bookworm #goodreads #litsy #bookstagram #bookqueen #greatreads #amazon#kindle
