Falling in love with the bad boy is something she waited for her whole life. She no longer will stand by idly waiting for her chance but will find the happiness she always desired.
I so enjoy Carrie Ann's writing and this was no exception. Great characters (building up in the first two books), strong chemistry, and a journey that at times was a bit bumpy made this a one-sitting read. I just wish at times that Caleb wasn't quite so daft;).
SO glad I recently started reading this author. I always avoided her because I'm not into the usual paranormal stories, but am loving this series and her writing. it's compelling and pulls you right in with the characters.
“Shameless with Him” is another incredible and mind blowing book and this series just keeps getting better and better! This book takes us on a ride that is exciting, heart-stopping, angsty, thrilling and everything in between. It completely sucked me in and captured my attention from the very first page to the very last. Absolutely look forward to all Carrie Ann Ryan books and this one definitely lived up another spectacular story by her. Bring on the next book please. You have definitely got to grab a copy of this book and everyone should definitely have a Carrie Ann Ryan book in their library and on their TBR. Happy reading everyone!!
This is the 3rd book of the series about the Carr siblings. This is Caleb and Zoey's story. You can easily read this without having read the others.
Caleb and Zoey have known each other almost their whole lives. The book starts with flashbacks of the times that were meaningful for Zoey in their young lives. She has always loved him but begged off either because he was with someone else, or because she was friends with his sister.
The story unfolds with Zoey deciding to go for it with Caleb. Lots of fumbling on both their parts. Trying to keep lines drawn and Caleb hiding vital health information from everyone.
As things do, the story sorts itself out. Great to see the rest of the Carr family again. Lots of Montgomery's thrown in the mix just for fun as well.
Great addition to the series.
Caleb and Zoey's story was sweet and sexy at the same time with lots of heartwarming feels. Zoey being in love with Caleb for so long while watching him playing the field, would have been heartwrenching. But as his sister's best friend while growing up, is it any wonder that he would feel a sisterly love for her? As maid of honor in her sister's wedding, with Caleb as best man, these two spend a lot of time together as Caleb finally sees her as more. A sweet story with a HEA for Caleb and Zoey, I was gifted a copy of "Shameless With Him" and leave my review voluntarily based on my reading. 4 Stars
Zoey always took second place to you sister, but that was okay with her and that she loved Caleb from afar for as long as could remember and that was okay with her too because in her heart she knew it one sided. As they were thrown together she thought he was beginning to love her too, but he seemed to withdraw. While Zoey could see his old girlfriends seemed more friends than romantic, she accepted it and as the story dramatically concluded I could kinda understand but still a little confused myself.
While I couldn’t connect completely with the characters, I did like the story and that it came from
Carrie Ann, made it a good romance.
As I was nearing the end of the novel, I found myself asking "What does one do when they realize that they don't like the hero of the novel?". I thought I was ok with Caleb, but I didn't like what he did to push Zoey away or the fact that he kept so many things from her. The fact that he seemed to have a bunch of ex-girlfriends/female friends everywhere he went didn't help either.
You might not know it, but I am a big Carrie Ann Ryan fan. I have loved most of her books and I had high expectations from this one. I really thought that the story was set on the right course and that everything was ok until I realized that it wasn't. There was zero character development and the climax of the story was less satisfactory than a two-pump one nightstand. We should have had twice as many pages in order to make the story feel less rushed and more organic.
Zoey was a pushover. She should have demanded more from Caleb and make him grovel and work for her forgiveness. Caleb sometimes treated her like she didn't matter much to him and I didn't like that. I was not happy with either main character, but mostly with the "hero" of the novel. Even their intimate scenes (to put it mildly for Amazon's sake) felt impersonal and like something you would read in a romance novel where one of the main characters is sleeping with someone who is not the other main character rather than a scene where the two main characters are having a moment. Can I also mention, that Zoey's sister seemed like she didn't care much for her sister and yet everything was forgiven in one moment with a few words? Zoey was handing out forgiveness cards like they were monopoly money.
The epilogue was one of the best things that happened to this book and it closed the Carr books in a lovely way. I haven't read the previous books, so I cannot talk about them, but I wouldn't recommend Shameless with him.
Shameless With Him is the third book in the Less Than series by Carrie Ann Ryan. It is currently scheduled for release on March 24 2020 and can stand on its own or enjoyed as part of the series.
Caleb Carr might have once been ready for commitment, but when the unexpected slams into him with the force of a two-ton truck, he knows he has to run away from anything that might be important. Zoey might well be his final temptation, but to keep her whole, he’ll walk away. Zoey Wager has loved Caleb since they were eight. And has had her heart broken from afar repeatedly ever since. It doesn’t help that every time she sees him—even when she’s running away halfway across the world—he’s with another woman. She’s watched him fall in lust her entire life. Now, she’s ready to watch him fall in love. With her.
Shameless With Him is a romance that pulls on the childhood crush trope. Zoey has loved Caleb for ever, and when they kind of fall together she is very cautious about going all in, because his relationships never seem to last long. Caleb is dealing with some issues that he is reluctant to share with his family, never mind the girl he counts as a friend and has wanted for years. Neither wants to blow their chance, but both are dealing with doubts, fear, and helping pull of the wedding of a lifetime for Zoey's baby sister. There is a good does of heart, some heat, and moments when readers will want to throttle one or more of the characters. The story works, and the cast of characters are well written. Maybe I just picked this book up at the wrong time. It was a good, solid romance but I never got fully invested or engaged with the characters and story. I love the author in general, so I think this might have been more of a me thing than anything about the book.
Shameless With Him is a good romance, and I think fans of the author and second chance, or childhood crush, romances will particularly enjoy it.
Zoey has loved Caleb since they were kids. The beginning of the book was awesome with the flashbacks to their various encounters. When Zoey’s little sister becomes engaged, Zoey and Caleb, who is the best man, have to deal with the bridezilla. While I loved all of the family mentioned in this story, I was highly aggravated at Lacey, Zoey’s sister, for her treatment of Zoey. Caleb tries to not get attached to Zoey due to his health issues, but I literally could not put this book down because I had to know how it would end. This is the last book in the series and it was well worth waiting for!
Zoey Wager and Caleb Carr have basically known each other all their lives. Zoey, since she was little has had a crush on Caleb since she was little. And by cosmic fate, they always bumped into each other while on family vacations. From a far away beach to camping, Caleb has always been there for Zoey. But he doesn't realize there is something between them, but Caleb is usually in a relationship and Zoey is left crushing on him from afar.
As they get older, Zoey's closest friends are involved with Caleb's brothers and her sister is getting married and Zoey is her maid of honor and guess who is the best man??? Yep Caleb. So now Zoey is making it her mission to finally put her moves in motion to snag Caleb.
Such a sweet story, full of emotion , I loved Caleb so much, Zoey tended to annoy me a bit at times but the story was lovely and together they were wonderful. I’m a big fan of Carrie and this book was as good as all the others I’ve read of hers, full of character, romance and after a turbulent ride, a HEA

Shameless With Him is a sweet and sad story of unrequited love. Caleb is such a man, I wanted to Gibbs slap him more than once. Zoey was too sweet for her own good. But when they finally get together it makes your heart sing.
Caleb and Zoey are two people who need fate to align the stars at just the right moment and when they do, these two are crazy good together. Fans will love this latest book by Carrie Ann Ryan and it's sure to create new ones
Zoey has been in love with Caleb since she was eight. Caleb is a playboy with a different girl on his arm every time Zoey runs into him. Years later when she the maid of honour at her sister’s wedding, Caleb is the best man and their lives will change forever.
Although the premise of the book is good, I just found the banter between the characters unrealistic. Was Caleb a playboy or a nerd? Everyone thought he was a playboy, but he didn’t think of himself that way ... at all. With all the women he dated and they all were okay with their breaking ups ... yeah, right! But the steamy scenes were ... well, steamy!
I received an early copy courtesy of Collective 20 through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.
This is the 3rd book in the series, I usually enjoy everything that Carrie Ann Ryan writes. This one was just okay for me, wasn't a huge fan of Zoey she annoyed me. Was well written and I will continue to read this series and the others.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance read, voluntarily read and reviewed all opions are my own.
Zoey and Caleb have known each other since they were kids. She's loved him from afar for most of her life. it seemed that every time Zoey ran into him, he was with another girl/woman. Her sister marrying his best friend threw them together more and more often.
The characters were likable and their situations relatable. A good portion of the book took place in the main characters' thoughts, which was good, at least for me, to know just what they heck they were thinking! This is the third book in the series, but it is not necessary to read the first two books in order to follow this story.
Complementary copy given for honest review and opinion.
The authors way of setting the scene had me confused at first but it later played out to make way more sense. Waiting for your person for your whole life makes the union even sweeter. Hot, sweet romance.
I am a fan of author Carrie Ann Ryan, but this one was just “OK” for me. It was kind of slow moving and a bit repetitive and not as enjoyable as her usually amazing books. I wouldn’t try to discourage anyone from reading this, as it might have just been me. 3.5 stars.
I have not read the other books in this series, but this back sure makes me want to.
Zoey has had a lifelong crush on Caleb but she doesn't think he sees her as anything but a friend. Every terrible event Zoey has experienced in life, Caleb has been the hero. How can she not be fascinated with him?
Caleb doesn't do long term, tells all the women going in, yet still treats them like a queen. Now more than ever Caleb has no plans to get serious. His health is questionable and he can't get any answers.
Zoey and Caleb finally have their time and it's amazing read. I loved how their story flowed. They were sweet together, sexy together, and fun together. But don't get too relaxed, Carrie Ann Ryan throws you for a loop with these two. Thankfully things resolve quickly and we get a fantastic HEA.
