Another great read by this author. Once I started reading this book I knew I was going to love it.. Havng already read book 1 I soon settled back in with all the characters. An excellent saga series.
The second in the Birch End series. Anna Jacobs is one of the best saga writers around. Absolutely love her books.
Book 2 In Birch End series thank you net galley ! I quickly purchased book one The Daughter’’s journey which I enjoyed immensely and was so looking forward to this book. I have to say I much preferred the first book and hate to say it but was disappointed with this particular book. It started off really well and Initially I was absorbed but half way through I almost lost interest. Some of the characters followed through but unfortunately It still did not “grip me”.
I really enjoyed this book! A great story line that kept me hooked and excellent main characters. I would highly recommend this book.
An excellent story by a top-class author who spins interesting characters with great tales. I enjoyed this story as I have done with other Anna Jacobs's books.
This was a disappointing book. Anna Jacobs has a set formula that she sticks to for each book, and this is the second in a new series. The first book is also set in the same neighbourhood, which meant that this story was merely the same sequence of events happening to different people in the same area. I love Anna’s books, she writes in a lovely manner and really brings people to life, but I feel that her formula is a bit old and predictable now. It’s a shame!
This is a great series with fabulous characters and a great setting. The plot moves rapidly along and I can't wait for the villain to get his comeuppance at some point. Bring on the next book.
Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. I liked this book and wish I had read the first one in the Birch End series as would have had more understanding of some of the characters.
