Vanessa's boyfriend Christian was a good guy but his Brody, not so much. While Vanessa didn't move on emotionally she did move physically to LA, where she's now an actress but when Roxanne is found, she heads home immediately. Things get complicated beyond understanding what happened and Vanessa finds herself the subject of harassment. AND she's reunited with Christian. Who is good? Who is bad? What really happened? No spoilers from me. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. This has good twists and a bit of suspense- a fast and entertaining read.

Vanessa was attacked and knocked out while Roxanne disappeared. Now years later Roxanne shows up frightened and confused.
I have to say that Carlene had been on my must read shelf after reading her first 2 books. As time went by I was disappointed in a couple of her books and stopped reading her. I decided to try her again and am I glad I did. She will definitely be going back on my must read list. This book was filled with suspense and all sorts of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

An entertaining and well written romantic suspense. Well crafted plot and characters. Many twists and turns to keep the reader guessing. I received an arc from the publisher and this is my unbiased review.

A suspenseful masterpiece of a book that the reader will not be able to put down until the very end. Full of twists and guessing that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat.

I enjoyed reading this story line. I did guess correctly what had really happen early in the book but I read way too many mysteries. I really liked the characters and their relationships and I loved the two young kids.
