This book had me hooked from page one. As the story progresses, the setting gets even darker.
This is a great dark suspenseful thriller.

A good read and a very interesting premise on the traditional 'whodunnit' plot. I really enjoyed it and will look out for more from the author.

Sanctuary was enjoyable but I find witches quite tedious and this was the same. I liked the set up of the narrative and the synopsis really drew me in for this but it left me feeling dissatisfied unfortunately.
Despite the multiple POVs the characters were mostly engaging and did keep me reading to the end, especially as there were a few 'twists' and 'reveals' which were really well executed.

Omg omg omg .......... this book was amazing I could not put it down I read every word on the edge of my seat I loved the story line, i loved the way the story just kept us guessing all the way threw I loved all the twists and turns and would defiantly recommend this book it was so believable and kept the reader engaged I love it

I liked this one! I love witchy books and I really enjoyed being pulled into a modern world where witches existed. The themes of discrimination and prejudice were very topical and I found the themes of death penalty/persecution interesting and credible. The story is told from multiple points of view and the mystery of what really happened at the party kept me guessing throughout. I'd definitely recommend it!

Mystery, Magic, Murder...
This perfect town is not all it seems to be. Mystery, magic, murder, witchcraft and secrets...lots of secrets...all abound in an engaging and interesting read with surprises along the way.

I very much enjoyed this book. It has a good story and excellent main characters. I would definately recommend this book.

This book was starnge, I wasn't expecting it. I enoyed it, but the characters were not as fleshed out as they could have been and sometimes the flow of the book didn't quite feel right. All in all it was a good and enjoyable read, just not perfect.

This book is unlike anything I’ve read, well not completely unlike, but a sort of a mixture of some genres, which is a different tactic. I did find out to be quite intriguing and well written. Something was off for me, not sure exactly what, but just not a full 5 star read. Overall, if you like thrillers, with shocks, chills, and thrills, mixed with some magic, then you’ll enjoy this! I have enjoyed this one. It has been different to anything I’ve read and a good read. The author has a writing style which flows nicely

A fire broke the party of the teens where one fell and died, and best friend alleged that the witch's daughter has killed him through witchcraft.

My first book by the author, I was quite taken in when witchcraft was used as a MO. Complex characters set in small town with secrets and lies, the book was narrated in multiple POV.

The story was a fast read where wanting to know the truth compelled me to read faster, witchcraft being the fun addition to the world building.

Please note that this book is not for me - I have read the book, However I had to DNF and because i do not like to give negative reviews I will not review this book fully - there is no specific reason for not liking this book. I found it a struggle to read and did not enjoy trying to force myself to read this book.

Wow was totally gripped by this story!

Murder can be committed in many ways but is witchcraft one of them? After a fire breaks out at a party full of teenagers chaos ensues with youngsters desperate to get out of the burning building. Local sporting athlete and all round mister popular, Dan, falls from the first floor landing and is killed. Initially the Det Maggie Knight believes his fall is as a result of the panicking crowd until Dan’s best friend and local Sheriff’s son, Jake Bolt alleges the local witch’s daughter, Harper Fenn used witchcraft to cause his death deliberately. If found guilty Harper would face the death penalty.

I found the storyline surrounding witchcraft really interesting and the story developed rapidly. The ending was brilliant and I would definitely recommend this book as one to read.

Exciting book to read. Once you get started it’s very hard to put down. The book was well written. Enjoyable plot with twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat.

I really enjoyed this book which was completely different to what I expected. If you like mysteries/thrillers with well drawn characters and some witchcraft thrown into the mix then this is the book for you. Kept me guessing until the end who the perpetrator was and I felt there could be room for a sequel. Highly recommended.

My copy of the book didn’t go to the end but finished at probably around 95% but I know my view wouldn’t have changed even if I had got to the end. I didn’t realise this was a fantasy thriller but tried to read it with an open mind despite that. Unfortunately I could not enjoy it as the fantasy part just doesn’t gel with me and seems plain ridiculous. So I will mark it three stars despite my not enjoying it because it’s the genre I should have avoided.
