The second on the Steele brother series. This novel follows the youngest brother, Gannon, and his road trip with journalist Delphine. A road trip full of sizzling chemistry, misunderstandings and heartache which could undermine their HEA.

Loved this well written romance. It's everything you would hope for from a Mills & Boon. The first in the series that I've read, but I will be looking out for the others.

Thank you to NetGalley and to Mills & Boon Insiders for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.

My next encounter with the sexy Steele brothers is just as rewarding as the previous one. Gannon is the youngest of the Steele brothers and not planning on settling down for the next ten years. Journalist Delphine's only experience with love left her heartbroken is there to do an interview not fall in love.

There's a lovely sizzle to this story as the chemistry builds between the wary journalist and the hardened player. The road trip through the southern states leads to passion. The happy ending still seems almost out of reach, but it's so worth the wait.

I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Finding, recognising and welcoming love, in this great romantic story.

A road trip of togetherness, a misunderstanding, but eventually any heartache is overcome with emotional love and happiness, with the happy ever after ending

Claimed by a Steele is part of the Forged of Steele series by Brenda Jackson. This was the first book of the series that I had read, and it was easy to pick up on its own.
Gannon Steele is a batchelor and proud of it, he has no intentions of settling down and is happy to enjoy the life of a single man, but when he meets Delphine he starts to imagine what it would be like to have someone for the rest of his life.
A nice and easy read, I would like to read some of the other books in the series now to read the other brothers stories.

Claimed by a Steele is the 13th book in the Forged of Steele series by Brenda Jackson. You don't need to have read the other books to enjoy this one, but after reading book 12 I realise it's nice to catch up with the characters from that book in this 13th one. I imagine if you have read all of the series it will be the same, getting updates from previous characters.

The Steele brothers have a reputation for being ladies men, that is until one by one they find love and get married. Only one of those brothers is still single now and that one is Gannon. He is the CEO of his father's very lucrative trucking business. He isn't your average CEO though. He makes sure that the needs of his truckers and other staff are met and he even does some long haul driving too. He likes the drive and it helps him to be sure that all the drivers have enough stops along the way with enough resources such as gyms to help relax etc during their journies.

Delphine Ryland is a freelance reporter and she has been asked to interview Gannon for a major piece including front cover photo. When they first see each other it is lust at first sight. Delphine has been hurt before by a man and has been single for 5 years. She isn't interested in a relationship, nor a one night stand with Gannon whose reputation as a ladies man precedes him. The problem is that the more time they spend together for the interview the more their attraction grows and they both worry that it could be more than lust.

Gannon invites Delphine on one of his long haul journeys, both for her to see exactly what one is like, but also for them to spend some quality time together where they can figure out if there could be anything between them, any future.

I really enjoyed this story, I loved going along on the long haul journey with Gannon and Delphine. It was great seeing them learn more about each other and their hot intimate scenes were just that...hot. But a good time in bed isn't the only thing required in a relationship. Will our couple settle for that, or could they really be soul mates as Gannon's brothers have intimated?

I reviewed the book in the series before this one and I mentioned how I got annoyed by how often the whole names were used when in the discussions about the mum, dad, brothers etc. I am glad to say that it happened less often in this story. Why use a full name including the middle one when talking about your mother when you could just say, my mother?

All in all, this was a good read and because the full name use was much less and because I loved the truck journey this book will earn the full 5-star rating!

Gannon Steele is the last man out of his brother's not married and he has no intention of changing that yet. He is a good man, caring and very well respected. Delphine is a reporter and she is interviewing Gannon for a piece in the magazine that she works for. Gannon is struck by Delphine's beauty the first time that they met and he is annoyed at his reaction to her and he can't stop thinking about her. Delphine can't believe her reaction to Gannon as it is the first time that she has felt anything since her fiance left her for another woman weeks before there wedding. Wow I love this book so much and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by Brenda as she is an amazing author and talented writer and her books are definitely worth reading.

Disclaimer - I was sent an ARC digital download of this book by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was also sent an ARC of the book prior to this (‘Seduced by a Steele’) in the Steele series by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was a slow burn romance with switches between both main characters POV which is something I like in romance books. All in all it was a light hearted and easy read as well as a good conclusion to the Steele books.

I am giving the same review for Claimed by a Steele and Seduced by a Steele.
Well I thought that these weren’t the first in the series about the Steele family, and checking on Amazon I find that they are books 12 and 13 in the series...
But that in the Kimani imprint (African American novels only) there is a number 89 in the series! So the story goes on...
These 2 novels take on the romances of the 2 youngest of the 6 sons of the family.
Whilst I thought these 2 books were reasonable for their genre, with gentle humour and nice story-telling, I found them rather short. But then if Brenda is turning out the numbers of books she is, she can’t write a longer length novel each time. And it may also be the norm for this imprint.
This left me wanting more depth from the characters and the stories.
Adequate but not exceptional.
