Ryan Kingston has been one of my favorite characters in the All In series, so I was very excited to learn he was getting his own book. I was also a little surprised because everyone knows King has had a long term girlfriend forever. I was so curious to find out what went down with Jessica for him to get his own book!

I have to admit that at the start of A Secret for a Secret I was slightly confused. Things with King and Queenie started immediately, and I couldn't help but wonder if I had missed something in the last book? I even went back and read, and I don't think I did. King eventually told me what was up with the whole Jessica thing, but I guess I wanted something more explosive or maybe a Prologue with the information. It wasn't until I knew what had happened that I felt like I could really be own with Queenie and King's story. As for that story...

I loved it. I mean, really loved it. Queenie was this self-professed wild, whirlwind of a gal. Everything about her was messy, and I loved that. Her flaws felt real, which in turn made her come to life off the page. She had a ton of insecurities, but was actually a smart and beautiful woman. People just had her hating on herself. King, on he other hand, was a straight-laced good guy. I could totally identify with his rule following nature. I loved his need for order balanced out with Queenie's haphazardness. Their personalities complimented each other so well. I also loved how they supported each other, especially King supporting Queenie. (I just felt like she needed it more.)

Another great part of this book was all the cameos from previous players. It was nice to see Alex, Violet, Shippy, Stevie, RJ, and Lainey. I also loved the addition of Queenie's dad and King's crazy clan. All of these characters added something special to Queenie and King's relationship. Oh, and I can't leave out the "villains" of this tale. They also added some GREAT drama.

Overall, A Secret for a Secret was a great addition to the All In series. I loved getting King's story and meeting Queenie. They were adorable together. I could have kept reading about them. I am really hoping this is not the end to this series because it's so much fun to read. I need more of these characters!!!

One drunken night of fun ends up being more than Ryan "King" Kingston bargains for when the woman of he had the special night with ends up being his hockey team's GM daughter. Queenie has so many more secrets than just her father's identity - and some of those secrets will definitely change her future. But can the girl who is such a hot mess and thinks she has done nothing but disappoint everyone in her life actually find her purpose with King? Can King and his Queen get their fairy tale HEA once her secrets are revealed? The readers cannot help but fall in love with these characters and once the story starts be prepared for an emotional and entertaining roller coaster of a journey. This series has gone 3 for 3 so far and cannot wait for more!

This book has one of the most engaging prologues a have read in a while. It dives right in to an intriguing premise, Kingston's secret is really something and his straight-laced personality juxtaposed to Queenie's free-spirited style makes for a great beginning. After a one night stand a few weeks go by and Queenie and Kingston find each other again, but he plays for the team where she works for her dad, the manager. So, opposites attract with a bit of a forbidden element. A fun book in a moment when we all need a little escape!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

4.5☆ A Secret for a Secret is my new favorite of the series. I love Kingston! He is so different from almost any other hockey player character I have read, and I loved it! He's normally very proper, organized, and by the books, but with Queenie that's not always the case for him. She brings out more sides of him that he doesn't normally show. I loved seeing all sides of him. I especially love how much he cares for Queenie. He's always there for her and giving her encouragement, he's totally swoon-worthy. They say, he's the calm and she's the storm and I couldn't agree more. They fit so perfectly together and are such an adorable couple. I felt really bad for them many times with all the issues that arise, including one major jerkface that I wanted to punch. They're a strong couple though. I'm very sad to see this series come to an end, I have really enjoyed it.

Wow, Kingston & Queenie.....I loved everything about this book! I stayed up way to long because I just couldn’t stop reading. They are just the most amazing couple. I absolutely love King & his Boy Scout personality & how Queenie added chaos to his calm. My favorite quote “I’d rather have her chaos than stay stuck in the calm, where everything is lackluster.”

Really good story.
Quite angsty.
Ex drama from the Hero and heroine.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
Forbidden love troupe as she is the managers daughter.
Lots of scenes with previous characters and couples from earlier books in series and other series by this author.
HEA.
Epilogue.

Outstanding! I absolutely loved Queenie and Kingston’s story. This was an all-in read for me. It was fantastic to see a leading male show all the feels. Helena Hunting is always full of surprises and her writing brings me happiness. So needed during this pandemic.

A truly wonderful book with descriptive details that brought me laughter and entertainment.

A. Must. Read.

Wow. I mean, I knew I would enjoy this book because I love Helena Hunting’s writing in general, but I REALLY loved it! I was gripped right from the first page. I just immediately fell in love with the characters and their story. And can I just say, I know we all love a bad boy. But a Boy Scout in the streets politely dirty talking beast in the sheets was a type I didn’t know I needed till Kingston came along. And I LOVE that their main conflict wasn’t that they gave up at the first sign of struggle, as that conflict is very much over used in romance. They didn’t need to break up and get back together to fulfill the tension needed to make a good book. That tension was still there while they stayed together and worked through their problems.

I constantly found myself swooning, laughing, cringing in the best way, and my heart breaking for these characters. I read it in one sitting in under 6 hours. I honestly can’t think of a single critique. As always with Helena Hunting, this book was exactly what I needed. I can’t wait for her next book Kiss My Cupcake, and the next book in this series whenever that’s announced!

I had so much anticipation jumping into this book, that I was sure it couldn't live up to what I had built up in my head. Boy was I ever wrong! WRONG PEOPLE! This book is soooo good! King and Queenie's relationship is everything I wanted for King. We get to discover the depth of why King is how he is, squeaky clean, kind, the best of friends, upstanding. I mean this book boyfriend is perfection and learning about him is simply delicious. Enter Queenie the tornado, sit back and enjoy the show. I didn't think Darren could be bumped from my number one spot... Well leave it to King to calmly show him up!

I was dreading having to say goodbye to this series. I fell in love with this spin off universe of the Pucked series with A Lie for A Lie. Well always trust Helena Hunting, she's already said we aren't done with the Pucked Universe, but I'm ok now leaving Rook, Shippy and King, I know they will be ok. They will be loved and they will love like they deserve.

You will laugh, like only Helena can make you laugh. If you are a fan of her universe, there are plenty of nudges and winks to past characters. Shippy and Stevie, Rook's family, they all come out to play. This was the perfect ending to the All In Series. Now bring on the story of Lavender!

I knew King’s book was going to be great, but I didn’t know just how GREAT! He is a controlled mess of polo shirts, too safe driving, and practicality. Queenie is just the chaos he needs, while she needs someone who thinks her chaos is beautiful, which he does. I am so in love with these two, and while my heart broke for everything they had to overcome, their love story had me smiling and happy. A spectacular book!

Sunshine. Rain. Calm. Chaos…. A Secret for a Secret is the latest book in Helena Hunting’s All In Series that just brings a balance to two people who are the opposite of each other and yet the perfect mates for each other. Kinston’s (King) life is full of order and rules. All which work well for the most perfect guy in the world. Unlike some of his NHL teammates he is a milk drinking, speed limit driving, well-mannered gentleman who meets Queenie whose life is a constant flux between a hurricane and tornado who is trying to find herself and her place in her own world as well as the world around her. The chemistry between King and Queenie is instant and their adventures of forbidden love takes you on an enduring journey that makes you fall in love alongside them. This book will make you laugh and cry and just simply sigh... I could not put this book down. If you want fun loving and an amazing new book boyfriend?? You will need to read this book!!

Words can’t describe how much I loved King & Queenie, but I am going to try. Queenie & King consumed me from the first page to the last!

I loved beyond words King & Queenie together. King was swoon worthy and at the same time adorable. Queenie was spunky & I loved watching her grow throughout the book. King & Queenie had great banter & chemistry.

Hands down my favorite book by Helena Hunting to date! I am not ready to leave this world & these characters behind. I really hope that Corey’s story is next. I think he deserves the chance to tell his story.

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Attention all sports romance lovers, this is the series for you! If you love a heroine who’s a bit of a chaotic mess and a hero with and alpha outside and a soft, squishy, big-hearted inside, you'll fall helmet over hockey skates for Queenie Masterson and Ryan “King" Kingston. These two had a brief encounter, and it's quite the shock when King reports in to start pre-season training and learns that the girl from his very out of character one night stand is his general manager's assistant and daughter.

Queenie is one of my favorite types of heroines. Her internal dialogue, influenced by some pivotal people in her life, has made her believe that she's a worthless human being and will never amount to anything. So it’s no wonder she leaves a lot of things unfinished and runs when things get hard. Why bother trying to succeed when she feels set up to fail?

Then King sweeps into her life and, other than her father, he's the only person who sees down to the heart of her and realizes what an amazing person she is and how much she has to offer. And this guy, he encourages her, cherishes her, sticks with her through everything, and helps her see herself through his eyes. *swoon* Isn’t that the kind of guy we all wish for?

I love this book so hard, and everything about it! From King's outrageous family and the bickering and bantering between teammates, to an anti-hero you'll love to hate, it's all amazing. (And I can’t help wondering if Mr. Anti-hero will get his own book, because that redemption would be epic!) With perfect comedic timing and a nice dose of steam, it's the heart of this book, and the way it will manipulate and play yours, that makes this book such a phenomenal, memorable read.

If you've read this author, you're already one clicking this one and, if you haven’t, you going to want to fix that. You need King and Queenie in your life! Fun and flirty, sexy and sweet, and hilarious and heartfelt, you absolutely don’t want to pass this one up!

I received an ARC fof this book(from NetGalley) for an honest review.
I have loved the All In series and couldn't wait to read it's conclusion. This book was a great ending to the series. There was the perfect combination of comedy, drama, and feelings. Straight laced King meets his chaotic Queenie and hilarity ensues. I loved the mix of these two characters and the fact that Queenie wasn't an annoying female lead like so many are in romance novels, she has her issues but she's definitely not irritating about them. The only issue I had is its the end of the series and I could read these characters forever(especially Bishop from A Favor For a Favor

After being introduced to Kingston in A Favor for a Favor, I couldn't wait to read more about him! A milk loving, sweetheart from Tennesse - yes please!

Kingston ends up meeting a woman at a bar named Queenie. They meet at a particular low point in both of their lives. Kingston and Queenie end up getting drunk together, have a one night stand and don't see each other for a number of years.

Fast forward a few years and Kingston is now a NHL hockey player in Seattle. Queenie has decided to take a job as an assistant for her dad, who is the coach of the NHL hockey team.

The first interaction between Queenie and Kingston was hilarious! I will admit that it took me a while to warm up to Queenie and Kingston together. But as usual I never should have doubted Helena Hunting's writing style. There were certain parts of the book that had me seriously laughing out loud.

As usual the steamy scenes were so HOT! The chemistry between Queenie and Kingston was amazing and I loved how she was the chaos to his calm. Kingston is THE PERFECT boyfriend and I loved how sweet he always treated Queenie.

I've bookmarked so many parts that had me laughing out loud or had me swooning over how cute Queenie and Kingston are together.

Definitely pick up your copy of A Secret for a Secret when it releases May 12, 2020!
I have loved loved loved this series and can't wait to see what HH has in store next!

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

I LOVE this series. It's definitely one of my favourite hockey series, and every time I finish the latest book, I can't wait for the next. I was hooked from the very start with this, and there was a huge shock right there to begin with.

Ryan/King and Queenie are both very likeable characters, and they both have a fair bit going on their lives to try and deal with. Personal issues or insecurities. They have a crackling connection, and they just work so well together. A true case of opposites attract.

I really enjoyed getting to know these two, as they got to know each other. I loved the connections they have with their friends and family's and the rest of the team. I was thrown for a loop a few times, Helena has some surprises hidden in this one, and I loved every second of it. And, because its a series spin off from our beloved Pucked guys, I love all the glimpses we get of some of those guys too.

Highly recommend this series, and this book. Cannot wait for more!

I did receive a free advanced readers copy of this book from Helena Hunting (Netgalley) in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This is book three in the All In series. If you've read the other series then you have a rough idea of how Kingston is. He's the goalie, someone who colors within the line, a super safe driver, and loves instead of fighting. Queenie, she is all things creative, messy, and a bit lost. Kingston and Queenie; they are a perfect pair, Yin to Yang, control to disaster, etc but you get the idea.

We start out with Kingston and Queenie each dealing with their own difficult situation. This book is filled with humor, patience, and self growth. Both King and Queen kick start the book with great chemistry. One thing I do appreciate is the gentle way King went about how he approach Queen with his feelings and reassuring her that she was perfect the way she is. King is definitely the swoon worthy and charming man we saw in the other book. Our Queen really shines with his adoration and also brought life to the rather safe way of life that Kingston has been living.

Their book is everything sweet, funny, and a bit of angst mixed together. We do get their HEA and the book is written in dual POV. For those of you who miss the cast or are worried, dont be worry, we still see them in this book (yes, Rook and Bishop are still going at it like a couple of toddlers).

Helena did an amazing job with this book. The King found his perfect Queen. Don't pass up this book; it's worth it.

I just want to note that I would have finished this in one night but I wanted to make it last; yes as usual the story is that good. Thank you Helena!!!!!!
Kingston who is the most sweetest straight laced hockey player finds himself at a bar with drinks lined up in front of him trying to get wasted to deal with a family secrete in comes a welcomed chaos by the name of Queenie. They both find out they are not much for drinking but decided to make a pack share a secrete for a secrete and do shots and get drunk. The next morning king wakes up with a massive headache a rumbled bed finding a post it note that was the only evidence that this beauty of a one night stand existed along with a destroyed pair of panties. Kings biggest regret was not exchanging phone numbers not just because he never does one night hookups but because of the electric and comfortable connection he felt & know she is gone for ever. Six weeks go by and it’s time for the teams first meeting before training camp starts, in walks Alex and Jake the GM with his new assistant his daughter Queenie who happens to be Kingston’s one and only hookup. Get ready for a wild ride filled with angsts, craziness and Laughter. You will be pulling for Kingston & Queenie to make it through the Storm.

Helena Hunting’s ‘A Secret for a Secret’ is the perfect combination of chemistry, humor, and emotion, and is an apt conclusion to her All In series.

NHL goalie Ryan Kingston is the epitome of a rule follower, from his overly cautious driving, to his perfectly pressed khakis. Queenie Masterson is a free-spirited ball of chaos who is trying to figure out her life. After a hot night of hooking up, both are sure they won’t see the other again. That is, until they both realize that Ryan plays hockey for Queenie’s father’s team. Can they attempt to be friends? Or will the overwhelming pull they feel toward each other be too intense to ignore?

One of Hunting’s greatest skills as a writer is her ability to incorporate witty humor and over-the-top laughs into a story that also has layers of emotional depth. There are so many moments where the interactions between Kingston and Queenie are downright hilarious (strawberries, anyone?), and others that tug at your heartstrings. Even though Kingston and Queenie hook up at the beginning of the book, you still feel the slow burn of chemistry as they both try to be friends without the benefits. It’s a satisfying narrative unraveling that has a great payoff. The reader also gets to know these two characters in an intimate way: they’re flawed, they’re insecure, they’re genuine. It’s very compelling to read.

Another Hunting hallmark is her intricate world-building. All of the characters contribute to the narrative arc in an essential way. No character feels superfluous, and you find yourself becoming invested in their stories as well. This is especially evident with Alex and Violet’s daughter, Lavender, with Queenie’s father, Jake, and with Kingston’s “momster,” Hanna. There are so many narrative threads to mine in this book, which is why I think Hunting is so adept at creating series. There are just too many stories to confine to one novel.

In all, ‘A Secret for a Secret’ is a novel that will put a smile on your face, perhaps give you a few tears, and leave you feeling wholly satisfied. Add this to your TBR stack immediately, and check out the rest of the All In series (and the Pucked series) if you haven’t already.

Thank you to the author, Montlake Romance, and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review!
