I can't lie, I felt some hesitation at the end of Vol 5 at the direction of this series. But, by the end of this volume, I am genuinely excited for what is to come. The last chapter in particular is setting up what is going to be a great story going forward, and it makes sense why there are so many volumes in Japan left to go.
I have officially decided that I will be continuing on with the series. These last 2 volumes had some bumps in the road for me that I wasn't understanding. Now I know that I want to continue.

Thank you to NetGalley, VIZ Media, and Paru Itagaki for the opportunity to read BEASTARS Volume 6 in exchange for an honest review.

So...speaking of honesty...I actually already have this book preordered, but with the whole COVID-19 thing, I have no idea when I will receive my copy, and when I saw it on NetGalley, I was like "Sure, why not read it early and enjoy a nice reread of the whole series when I do eventually get my physical copy?"

I utterly adore this series. It's kind of like Zootopia, but more violent, political, sexual, and all-around a bazillion times better. I do not follow much newer manga these days, but BEASTARS is an absolute auto-buy for me. I have seen the anime in both Japanese and English, love it, but the manga is just so much...more!

With this manga, I am always on the edge of my seat, eager to see how Legoshi and Haru's relationship will turn out, and eager for the drama among the other characters between them as well.

The middle of Volume 6 is where season one of the show ends, and I am excited to see the next part of the story. I am already a carnivore ready to devour the next volume. And the next. AND the next. As of January, BEASTARS is one of my most anticipated reads, and the patience of waiting for the next volume is a near-impossible feat. The end of this volume was...unexpected, but hey, I wonder who the next Beastar is going to be? ;p

If you have not read this series yet, please do yourself the greatest favor in the world and pick up BEASTARS Volume 1 now. That is all. :)

ARC Copy...little more settled with the idea of anthropomorphized animals and how that dynamic would play in a high school drama environment. Comparable to Zootopia in terms of themes on predator and prey sociology-dynamics. Semi-late to the party but I am aware of the relation between Lego and Haru and it was interesting to see that unfold (with assume later in the narrative time).
