How are you gonna have THAT MANY hot characters and NOT be a reverse harem series? Come ON, Pippa!!
This is such a fun book, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. Fae, vampires, and werewolves - oh my!

This book felt a bit like a gothic, victorian howl's moving castle, in all the best ways. I absolutely loved it. I was enthralled from start to finish. The Night Station is an absolutely magical world, but not rainbows and sunshine magical. It's dark, it's gritty, it's dangerous and Lynher moves through that world like a total baddie (I'm censoring my language here a bit). I loved this so much that I've already bought and read the second book in the series and I'm dying waiting for the third!

I absolutely loved the premise and the setting. It was vivid and lush. I loved the characters at the beginning. I just guess it didn't go where I expected. By the end the characters seemed very inconsistent in their behaviour and I absolutely hate when the conflict could have been sorted out by just having one bloody conversation.

Lynher runs a “safe haven” for the monsters while secretly saving humans whenever she can. The monster run the world but somehow the supernatural force, sentences, behind her hotel like establishment protects those it deems worthy.
The premise was great, I loved the idea and everything in the synopsis screams this book would be for me and here is “the but”… But the execution drove me nuts. It was all over the place and never really gave us any kind of definitive answers to anything at all. Lynher seemed to be EXTREMELY sporadic in her thoughts, and we got an inside seat to the entire roller-coaster of them all.
I gave this book 3 stars. It was more like between its was okay and I kind of liked it. I liked the overall premise and found myself begging for some details that would connect me to the plot but in the end it never came.

I quiet enjoy anything written by Pippa DaCosta it’s not my first or even second read of hers. About of a slow start but an intriguing premise and interesting characters in a unique setting. I remain as ever a fan of the author’s work and well most certainly be reading the next one.

If Urban Fantasy is your genre then thsi book is for you .
Lynher is the human host of the Night Station - vampires, demons, shifters, and worse pass through every day - seemingly the perfect hostess , her insecurities well hidden . But by day she works for the resistance, helping free the blood slaves , determined to release the Human Race from enslavement .
The station is alive/sentient , giving its patrons protection and whatever they desire - but also sometimes not . Who will it ultimately help ?
Everything changes when the mysterious Ghost, the overseer of the Vampire Guard arrives unannounced at the station . What will be the impact of his arrival - can Lynher maintain her dual roll without giving anything away - will there be a romance or not ?.
This is a fast paced book with many twists and turns , a delicate dance of intrigue and danger - well worth reading
I was given an arc of the book by NetGalley and the Publsher in exchange for an honest review

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review
I love everything that Pippa DaCosta writes and this book was no different

This book is totally unlike anything I’ve read in a while, (yes, I know about the Innkeeper Chronicles and I will read them soon); the world is so frightening but I loved it.
Lynher is the hostess of the Night Station that is a sanctuary for humans and offers accommodations for all matters of Dark Ones. When she puts on her uniform for nightly shift, she also dons a mask because one show of weakness will mean her death or worse. While the Station protects her, sometimes it is not in the way she thought,
The station is an entity that changes as needed, sometimes to suite a guest at other times it’s for a need or occasion. The only time a human is completely safe is during the day and always stay behind the white line, because even in the day there are creatures that will kill you if you go outside the white line.
Will she be able to protect the humans who work for her and all the guests when the most feared vampire overlord known as the Ghost arrives? Just what is purpose in coming and how will she save a train car of “valuable cargo” from the vampires while he is there?
The next book will be released at the end of September and I can’t wait.
**4.5/5 STARS: I received a free digital ARC through Netgalley in exchange for a honest, unbiased review. I sincerely thank Netgalley, author and/or publisher for giving me this opportunity.**

When it comes to a Ms. DaCosta story, I know I'm going to be banging my head against the wall. Why? Why are the bad boys anti-heroes in her stories so misunderstood and abused? In this new series, Lynher Aris is sheltered in a sense by the "Station" she lives in. I honestly have no idea if this story is a spin off or what is going on. There are so many missing pieces to this world building. And it seems this is how it is designed because Lynher is unaware of what is really going on. And even at the end, it is questionable of what is really happening. I'm just as confused and left in the dark as Lynher.
I do like Ghost, the "intimidating" overseer. I want to learn more about him. I want to know more about his foiled plans. This story moves fast with action and little explanation of what is going on. Looks can be deceiving. What annoys me a bit about this story is how stubborn and self righteous Lynher comes across. I believe she is designed this way and perhaps in the follow up stories, all will be revealed. We shall see. For the first in this series, I'm hooked and I want to read the next book immediately.

This book felt overly complicated and not well explained in the first place. It's set in a post-apocalyptic setting that didn't appeal to me. The main characters had very little development, and I didn't find them very likeable. I ended up just skimming through the book as it didn't hold my interest. This was a miss for me.
I received an arc of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

"Twilight Seeker" had a strong start that left me intrigued by this unique urban fantasy filled with demons, vampires, demons, and more. Sadly it lost its momentum when our 'daring' hostess Lynher is forced to leave the station, a safe haven for supernatural beings, with Ghost before their 'wild' journey begins. Why the fuck am I saying?! There wasn't anything wild about their journey and what it actually was was a whole lot of nothing happening.
There was obviously great potential for this book but I don't think it was thoroughly thought out to really create a solid plot and likable characters. I just found myself bored with this read, and was already done and over it before the halfway way mark which was probably a contributing factor as to why I had skimmed pretty much everything after that. Overall I may follow-up with the next installment but that's a big maybe.

I really enjoyed this novel! The world of creatures of the night was super interesting! I loved some of the character dynamics in this book and I loved the characters! The plot kept me wanting to read and on the edge of my seat at parts. Definitely recommend!

Twilight Seeker is urban fantasy at it's best. This book is a fast-paced, exciting and filled with action packed fantastic awesomeness at every twist and turn.
Plenty of secrets and intrigue is woven into this story and you will find it hard to decide who is friend or foe just when you think you actually have it all figured out, it changes again.
This book has every kind of supernatural creature you could possibly want it is filled with vampires, demons, fae and so much more. The characters are engaging and complex and the world building is excellent.
Lynher is a human host of the Night Station and she plays an intriguing game of whats expected of her while she runs her own secret covert operations by running a sort of underground railroad freeing blood slaves that come through the station on trains.
A very cool aspect of the Station is that it is alive and sentient the station transforms its room decor to suit the guest and produces outfits perfectly tailored to fit their needs. Each guest is under the protection of the Station as well as the staff who are marked with an X on their wrists to show that they are claimed by the station.
This is a fascinating world full of entertaining and mysterious characters and I absolutely loved every minute of it!!!!!

Rich world building lends to an intriguingly dark and complex story. Ms. Lynher Aris is just the kind of strong female character you want to read about. She's an arguably weak human living in a viscous monster's world, but she gets up every night and dons her corset and sheaths get knives as she arms herself as the hostess of the only known neutral territory waystation in this post-apocalyptic world. Within the magical walls, she holds her own as long as she can hold her head up high and make the vampires, demons, werewolves, elves, and other Dark Ones believe she holds power. It's a delicate dance, but beyond the white line she is just another bloodbag. The vampire Queen doesn't like it that a "bloodbag" can possibly have such power over the Dark Ones. Soon powers will be converging on the waystation and loyalties will be tested and foundations will be shaken.
I liked Lynher strength of spirit and her unwavering devotion to her brother. Through it all, she believes in him. Don't know yet if it will bite her in the butt, but I do know she's a fighter. She's got this broken quality, a fragility to her that strengthens her rather than weekend her.
While this book gives us home of possible love interests, that's not what this story is. It's a story of survival with what you have. Doing everything in your power to protect those you love. I'm really interested to see where all of it is headed because there is a lot more than meets the eye on this story line, that's for sure.

I received this ARC for an honest review. Pippa DaCosta is a new to me author. Since I have been in a book funk I decided to give her a try, and I’m glad I did. This is a paranormal story about Lynher Aris who is the hostess of the Night Station where the Dark Ones (Demons, Vampires, Fae, & etc.) come to stay and enjoy themselves. The Overseer of the vampires named Ghost arrived unexpectedly, and he started creating chaos inside the The Night Station, but is the Ghost really the Ghost or is it someone else. Lynher gets kidnapped, but who helps? I’m not going to say....
I’m not going to go in much more about the book because I recommend for you to give it a try. I enjoyed this story and will read the second book. Pippa DaCosta did a great job with the world building.
Give this story a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Many thanks to Netgalley and Victory Editing Netgalley Co-op for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
Wow, Twilight Seeker was just So. Much. Fun!
I started it before bed, thinking I would read a few chapters, and next thing I knew it was 3am and I was trying to find out when I could read the sequel!
I have read A Lot of vampire-centric urban fantasy, and this book not only hits all the important high notes that I want from the genre (Tough and cheeky heroine! Swoony men who might be love interests but might be evil! Supernatural scheming and rollicking fight scenes!), it does so in an entirely unique setting. In this world Dark Ones, supernatural creatures of many kinds (including incubuses- incubi?- creatures that I feel are wildly underutilized in other urban fantasy/paranormal romance worlds; this book shows that they're made for swooning over!) have overrun hummanity, reducing them to prey, or factory farmed food. Lynher Aris runs a sanctuary for all beings in a train station located between two worlds- the former human world and the world of demons. To maintain the balance, she has to host Dark Ones and entertain them, and uses her job as a cover to try to save what's left of humanity. Then, a mysterious and notorious Dark One guest, whose only known name is Ghost arrives, and everything Lynher thought she knew is thrown into chaos.
Things I loved
- The awesome goth decadence! The whole setting feels lush and broody. The Station itself is some kind of sentient, and redecorates to suite the needs of the guest, and the host. Lilith, a powerful demon, lives in a room that is often, but not always, a creepy beautiful jungle. Other guests sometimes have views of scypscrapers of the world before humans fell. The Station also creates clothing for guests to suite the ambiance, and there is a delicious abundance of velvet and silk. So much goth goodness.
-The pacing! This book was a page turner, in all the best ways. The first half of the book primarily takes place in the Station- where Lynher has spent almost her entire life. Just as the reader starts to get a handle on the twists and turns and machinations of life in the station, Lynher goes outside, and we are treated to a fast paced, high stakes journey through a very different world. I had no time to catch my breath reading this, and I enjoyed every moment!
-The love/lust interests/the eye candy! This is not a romance, but there are slow burn somethings happening between our MC and two other characters. Both hit the delightful sweet spot of hot, potentially evil, but maybe evil being with a heart of gold, which I am a total sucker for.
Highly recommend to anyone who wants a fun, fast paced vampire adventure in a clever new setting!

I enjoyed this take on vampires and demons,I did get confused in some parts of the story, it was like it it went from one piece of the story to another with no explanation. But, all in all it was an enjoyable read.

I have really enjoyed other books by this author, so much so that I was really disappointed to skip the last series. Reverse harem is not my jam. But this... Gothic urban fantasy... I am totally there for it.
And I didn’t disappoint.
Lynher is the hostess of the Night Station. It is a place in the in-between. A sanctuary for the world's various monsters. Lynher is human, normally the lowest kind of prey on the food chain, but the station has marked her. It protects her. And it allows her to work in the daylight with her twin brother, rescuing other humans who are not so lucky. Humans who would be food or playthings for the vampires.
As the story begins, she discovers that a formidable overseer of the vampire race, known only as the Ghost is coming to be a guest at the station. Only, he is not who he appears to be. I don’t want to spoil too much, but the unraveling of who the Ghost is and what he is to Lynher is kind of the crux of the whole story.
The world building is fascinating. And I have so many unanswered questions still, even now that the book is over. I’m fascinated by Jack, a character I will give you no details about except to say that he is enigmatic and sexy and... kind of sad I think. Part of me wants to push him away from Lynher, but the romance reader in me burns with the knowledge he is the end game.
Then there is Rafe— Her incubi friend who has some serious problems to deal with as the book progresses. I want to know his secrets too. I want to save him. I want to save Lynher. Dammit, I want to save Jack too.
There isn’t a romance here, necessarily, but I feel confident there will be. And it’s going to be awesome when it comes to pass. I am definitely excited for book two.
4.5 stars

This novel was an enjoyable read if you enjoy magic and mayhem, vampires, fae, incubus, demons, and so much more! Living a double life is not easy for Lynher Aris, but she gets the job done and passes along vital information to try and save the human race. The humans are enslaved and few are free. Lynher has the protection from the Night Station and receives many types of guests. She cannot have any weaknesses and believes she is stronger alone. When a mysterious vampire, the Ghost, comes to her Night Station, chaos reigns and Lynher finds herself in more trouble than she expected. Knowing she can trust no one, she uses her skills to manipulate and deceive those around her, for Lynher does not like to be betrayed by those she considers family. This Ghost seems to have some connection to the Night Station, to which Lynher does not understand why, but she knows all vampires are killers. Lynher will do whatever it takes to stop the evil that has has worked to decimate the human race.
I received this novel from net galley and the publisher. Thank you! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hrm, this was different. Almost more horror and dystopia than fantasy, but amazing and imaginative and very very cool.
This is taking place in a strange world where everything that takes place outside the Station feels a bit fuzzy and unclear. My understanding is that some catastrophic event happened that resulted in the world as we know it being taken over by magical creatures. We have vampires having pretty much running things and being terrible to humans who are kept as slaves and even using children for "breeding farms".
Can't wait for the next one. I want to know much more about that Night Station.
