Like other books in this series, it is a fun little introduction to inspiring people. Definitely a great way to introduce kids to biographies and a nice read for adults too. I would recommend all the books in this series.

This was such a cute little book! It is a great and easy introduction to the legendary Dolly Parton. The artwork is consistent with other books in the Little People, Big Dreams series which is great for fans of the series. I thought they were able to get most of what makes Dolly so important. My only critique is that I wished they mentioned where she was from since that is a vital part of Dolly's story.

This is a great book. I have read others in this series about famous people and this is another great one I have enjoyed. It does a wonderful job telling the story of Dolly Parton. Children will enjoy learning about her, but adults will too. It is done is a very skillful and enjoyable way. The illustrations are well done and the information displayed very well. I recommend this book to learn more about her and I recommend reading more in the series.

This is such a remarkable series. I already purchased some of the volumes for my library.
And I am sure going to buy more.
With this books you got that chance to get to communicate even with small children about some real and special people.

And in times likes these it is so important to teach our kids that there have been people, with ideas and dreams who worked hard and get the job done, no matter what.

I really, really love those books and I love working with them and bring some kids to dream of what they can accomplish if the only try.

So thank you for letting me read those.

Dolly Parton is such a fascinating human being, and I enjoyed learning more about her beginnings as an artist alongside my child as we read this book. I didn't get as much of the in-your-face, over-the-top feelings from the illustrations, and that makes me wonder if the author and illustrator felt that needed to be more muted for kids. I think showing her in her fully glory would have been both more exciting and true to her real self, but that's just me.

'Dolly Parton' by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara with illustrations by Daria Solak is an picture book about the famous country singer.

Dolly Parton grew up poor, but loved music. Through her talent, she made it to the big time. She gave back by starting a reading program, and also became a successful businesswoman.

This is a fun series for young readers. I liked this one, but the art wasn't my favorite this time around. It's still good, and fits the subject well.

I received a review copy of this ebook from The Quarto Group - Frances Lincoln Children's Books, and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

This series of books is awesome and I love it. Dolly Parton is truly an idol and I loved reading this little board book about her. I definitely wanted a bit more out of it. I felt like it was just like the surface instead of more detail but that's okay. It's just an introduction to her life. I can't wait to read more!

I didn't know much about Dolly Parton's life and career, so I was delighted to pick up this book and learn about this talented singer. I learnt about her origins, the beginnings of her career, moving to Nashville , singing with Porter Wagoner and later going solo. I also enjoyed reading about her Imagination library for children in need. I think it is important to give children concrete examples of how celebrities and successful people can give back to society and help those less fortunate around them.

Thank you to NetGalley and Frances Lincoln Children's Books (Quarto Publishing Group) for the ARC provided in exchange for an honest opinion.

First, I adore this series. This series is great for kids of all ages, but also informational for adults. Every book in this series that I read with the kids, I learn as well. The illustrations and words are informational without being overwhelming. The language used is appropriate for kids of all ages and easy to comprehend without being over simplistic. This, and all others in the series are fantastic!

My children always love the "Little People, Big Dreams" books - we've read so many of them at this point! - but they especially loved this one, because we've been to Dollywood and stayed at the DreamMore Resort so they felt even more connected to this book than usual. We love Dolly and enjoyed learning more about her upbringing and life! Very sweet illustrations as well though they didn't scream *Dolly* to me necessarily!

The “Little People, Big Dreams” series is a big favourite in my house, and this one didn’t disappoint! The images were as charming as ever, and the pace was just right for my young child. My daughter loved learning all about another little girl who loves to sing as much as she does, who went on to do good for others.

It proved a great jumping off point for more discussion, as is often the case with this series, and we ended up singing and dancing along to Dolly’s songs long after we finished reading. I can tell that this is one that we’ll be revisiting often!

My thanks to the author, NetGalley, and Quarto Publishing Group - Frances Lincoln Children's Books for the arc to review.

Loved learning more about Dolly Parton, so this book was a big hit with me! Had absolutely no idea she met her husband as soon as she moved to Nashville, and I'm a sucker for a love story so that was a really cute fact to learn. My little girl was a huge fan of the tiny butterflies hidden on each page - her father and I were asking her to point them out as we were reading it to her and by the end of the book she was finding the butterflies quicker than we could! A brilliant addition that allows this book to appeal to little ones who have no idea who Dolly Parton is, and bigger ones who want to learn more about a country icon.
