Bristol and Marcus. Where you saw one, you saw the other ever since they became friends in elementary school. Many thought there was more to their relationship that just friends, but there wasn’t, until there was. Ten years ago (when she was 20) Bristol made Marcus promise if neither was married they would marry each other. Fast forward to that, and guess what? Neither is married, but, had she been serious? Had Marcus been serious when he made that promise? An overheard conversation between Marcus and Bristol makes it seem that they are engaged, so they go along with it. Will it work out? Then throw in an ex of Bristol’s who has some issues and you have…well don’t want to give it away! Good book by a good author.
