If you're looking for a fun rom-com with just enough sizzle then you've come to the right place. This book was quirky story of girl meets boy, is instantly attracted to him, but they work together and... they're both seeing other people.

As Fran evaluates her relationship with her boyfriend she realizes that he's not that nice; he's rude, condescending and she deserves way better. To put herself back out there, she turns it into a challenge for herself by writing about her experiences. Through this process Fran questions who she is and her worth.

"Was I not funny enough? Smart enough? Cute enough?"

Questions, I'm sure that all of us have asked ourselves at one point or another. I really liked how she gained confidence in herself and in her decisions.

Does Fran end up with Ollie, her hot coworker? You'll have to read the book to find out!

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Thanks to Netgalley for the arc copy. This was a light funny romance. I really liked the authors writing style. Fran was a good lead character and the romance was handled really well. Will read more from this author.

At a time when everyone needs a little happiness in their life along comes Swipe Right by Stephie Chapman. This quirky rom-com novel, inspired by the film When Harry Met Sally, was just what I needed to temporarily divert my attention away from all the real life stresses and worries.

Fran and Ollie meet when they are both applying for the same job at online media company , Viral Hive, something similar to Buzzfeed. The interview process involves the candidates working together and Fran's initial observations of Ollie aren't very flattering, despite the fact that she barely knows him. She isn't too bothered though as after that day she never has to see him again right? Wrong! After being offered the job, on arriving for her first day who should also be there - Ollie! Viral Hive couldn't decide between Fran and Ollie so they decided they would hire them both and they could work together!

As they both find their feet and settle in to their new work environment their colleagues pick up on an undercurrent of potential romance between Fran and Ollie but they are both already involved with other people. Despite this fact they both seem to swing between getting on and getting on each others nerves! Will they ever be able to see what is staring everyone else in the face and get together?

Swipe Right was my first venture out with author Stephie Chapman and I don't think it will be my last. I found the characters very engaging, the story flowed well and there was a wonderful mix of laugh out loud and heartfelt moments. I'm so pleased that I'm happily married as some of the Tinder dates that Fran goes on in the name of her work would leave me mortified, but they made for hilarious reading! If you're looking for something to read that will whisk you away and lift your spirits then this could be just the book for you.

This just wasn't for me. I found the characters to be annoying, especially Ollie. I couldn't connect to them or their story, and I felt no chemistry between Ollie and Fran.

The book relies on telling a lot more than showing, which may be part of why this fell flat for me. Fran and Ollie aren't a convincing couple, and we don't really get to see the little details that make them pop out as individual characters or as a couple.

I wish I could have loved this, because on its face it had a lot going for it. But in the end, it was an unremarkable story that I will have forgotten by the time I crack open my next book.

Fran has an interview at Viral Hive when she meets Ollie Taylor, who is up for the same job. They instantly seem to click and both end up getting a job there. As they become closer and become best friends, Fran breaks up with her boyfriend, and Ollie goes on a round the world trip with his girlfriend, and Fran decides to start a dating blog, which ends up going viral. On her quest for love, will she find The One?

I enjoyed this read. The characters were likeable and flawed, which made them human. Carlina and Suze were the perfect best friends for Fran, especially Carlina, who pushed Fran to be better and always spoke her mind, regardless of whether it would hurt somebody. It was a quick light hearted romance/comedy read, and some of the dates Fran went on were funny and some were just terrifying had you been in Fran's situation!

I received a complimentary copy of this ebook on NetGalley, all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own!

A fun easy read, realistic situations and believable dialogue. A predictable ending but it was just what I wanted!

This was a great, fun, easy book to read. The two main characters had a great connection and I have so many feelings after reading this. It works so well with the current times. Will recommend.

Swipe Right follows a 'red-haired social media darling' named Fran, and her incredibly unlucky dating life. It follows her from her first interview at a Buzzfeed-esque company and through the first two years or so of her successful career, as she navigates online dating in London and posts the entire mildly terrifying journey on a viral blog.

The positives in this book are that it was easy to read, addictive and had some strong characters, predominantly including the ones from Fran's office. I found myself, for the most part, invested in Fran as a character and I found parts of this book entertaining.

Unfortunately, there were a number of things I disliked about this book that soured my overall reading experience, starting with the fact that every single man in this book is terrible.

For the most part, that's the point. Fran is clearly supposed to go on all of these awful dates until she ends up falling for a good guy. But, for me, I found the man she realises she's falling in love with to be rude, indecisive, selfish and competitive to a fault. He doesn't offer her the support that she's looking for and he makes a number of very awful dating decisions with both Fran and the other girl that he is involved with during the story.

Fran also makes a lot of poor decisions in this book. Her strong points are that she is incredibly career-driven, clearly good at her job and motivated to get what she wants. I respected her when she made strong career choices and excelled at her work. In terms of her personal life, however, I found a lot of what she did to be frustrating and questionable.

I really wanted to enjoy this book because the writing style was good and the characters had a lot of potential but, unfortunately, it just didn't end up being for me. If you're looking for an easy read and some career-envy, I recommend that you look into it but, sadly, I wasn't able to enjoy this story as much as I hoped.

*2.5 stars

Just finished this and I HAVE SO MANY FEEEEEELINGS. I absolutely gobbled this book up and I did REALLY enjoy it, but it definitely wasn't without it's issues. Aside from the cheating (which didn't really bother me a ton, but I wanted to mention it briefly bc I know that's a hard no for some people), there was a really distasteful comment made towards the end about polyamory that REALLY rubbed me wrong. This book could have easily been a strong 4 or a 4.5 for me because the characters were great and had SO MUCH CHEMISTRY, but I took it down to a 3 because that one line soured my overall enjoyment and I am BUMMED about it. Womp :(

TW: cheating, revenge porn, gaslighting

Swipe Right was an incredibly enjoyable and modern take on the rom-com genre. I really liked the two main characters and the relationship between them and would thoroughly recommend this book.

3.5/5

Fran's first impression of Ollie is he is too cocky, too confident and always like to be the centre of attention. She was less than happy when she get to know she would be working with him at Viral Hive. But soon she realized he is the one who challenges her, makes her attempt to do her best and he became her work spouse as everyone else in office likes to call them.

But when Fran’s relationship crumbles, and Ollie sets off with Lou for a round-the-world trip, she decides to start an anonymous dating blog. She writes about the crazy and the most weirdest date she found on tinder. And her blog is an all time hit.

But what happens when Ollie comes back? Is there any spark between them? Or it was just related to work?

Review-

Author has perfectly blended the work and personal life of characters. This is an office romance and author has done her best when it comes to describing work at media agency. It is not boring or too lengthy but interesting, simple and crisp. I love the office environment in the book.

Characters are very well developed. You can see their dilemma, their bad traits and their emotions beautifully. Every character is very well thought and is unique from each other. You will remember each and every character of this book.

The plot is interesting and if you really like RomCom you may even finish it one go just like me. But my problem was there is no twist & turn or high & low or anything shocking. The book was kind of flat to me. And even it lacks in humor section. The dating part has so potential and I was expecting a lot from it but it just didn't satisfy me much.

I love the break up part of Fran and Lucas. I so wish there was a video I would have watch it again and again. But I wish towards the end also Fran has maintained that fierce part. I wish author has made her more emotionally independent in the end.

Overall the book is very enjoyable, romantic and funny. But the lack of story curve and especially the ending disappoint me a little bit.

I received a free copy from.netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Overall I liked this book. Fran lands her dream job working for a Buzzfeed like company but first must deal with Ollie who gets hired at the same time. They become work spouses after an initial difficult time when they start work. The idea of digital dating apps doesn't actually come into play until half way through the book. I liked Fran for the most part but Ollie rubbed me wrong from the beginning and I never really got over that impression. He comes of as an arrogant, cocky jerkoff at the initial interview and then all of a sudden we are told things are different know and Fran and Ollie are super close but we never actually see it. Ollie also has an awful girlfriend for the entire book which doesn't help and he has no real personality. I did like Fran's growth and development. Would check out another book by this author. 3.5 stars.

Stephie Chapman writes about the realities of modern day romance that sees the heavy reliance of media and apps to ‘meet’ a significant other before the dates occur.

Fran meets Ollie and they get off to a rocky start, when they’re both interviewing for the same job. Fran can’t help but secretly think that Ollie is attractive, but at the same time frustratingly obnoxious and full of himself. He is everything she avoids in a man.

Both Fran and Ollie and recruited by Viral Hive and they’re forced to work together. They get on with things and soon become friends - a dream team for their employer. Anything romantic is a no-go - Fran has a boyfriend, Lucas, and Ollie has a long term girlfriend called Lou.

‘Swipe Right’ is hilariously witty and the character of Fran is personable and brutally honest on her quest to find love, after things end with her awful boyfriend and Ollie has jetted off around the world, with Lou. Fran’s content for Viral Hive follows her anonymously writing about her dates and the possibility of finding Mr Right, but instead she finds herself writing about some real characters and their disastrous dates. The column really takes off and she fast becomes a talking point for everyone. Is this the way to find true love? Can she honestly keep putting herself through dates similar to the one she’s been having or does she resort to not looking and eventually find love the old fashioned way? Well, you’ll have to wait and see...

Swipe Right is a really fun book! If you’re a Sophie Kinsella fan, this is a book you should pick up. You’ll find yourself laughing out loud at Fran’s no nonsense, straight-talking attitude and cringing at the dates she has. How can someone be so unlucky?

A romantic comedy that hits the spot! It’s worth ‘swiping right’ for!

Not really feeling it. Not fond of the characters and the story line was just ok. Feel like I've read this before.

I was able to read this book after it was changed to a MOBI file. A review will be coming sometime this month. I have been on a blog hiatus due to life stuff but will be getting back to reviews soon. Thank you Netgalley and publishers for giving me the chance to read this book!
